Chapter 28: These rogues are different

"The tracks end here."

Alpha Alaric frowned at the spot. He had managed to follow the hidden tracks of the rogues, with the help of his beta and his sons. Still, they reached another dead end.

"I think they're messing with us," Alden commented.

"I still can't understand how they were able to cross into the territory without our knowing." Asher added.

"These rogues are not ordinary," Alpha Alaric said thoughtfully. "They are not mindless nor insane, like rogues who have gone out of control."

"What do you mean, father?" Axel asked.

"They are different. Rogues do not belong to a pack. But these ones do, and I think they have an alpha."

"But that's not possible," Dorian shook his head.

"It isn't," Alpha Alaric agreed. "Which brings us back to my first statement. These rogues are different. And the fact that they want Diana makes it all the more strange."
