The ceremonies took place. A lot of people came by, prayed, shared a lot of soft memories and left by wishing the dead one an adequate afterlife.
She stood strong, however, Seon-Ho noticed her trembling lips, glossy eyes, cracked voice and the anxious thoughts she kept zoning out into.
"Afterlife? Is he okay now? Doesn't he miss me? Surely he doesn't make all the decisions but I-I miss him. I can't comprehend my life without him. I have no one who will loiter for me in sweatpants and a random SpongeBob t-shirt and hug me when I come back from a tiring day."
Jin-Ae couldn't help but kept marvelling about what-ifs, hows and whys.
Merely, being alive was difficult and filled with dozens of questions to which the answers were unknown.
She kept querying herself but as said some questions are better left unanswered, she came back to reality but in no time, went back into it.
Her dad's friends wept bitterly about how her dad was ready for the operation but unexpectedly, everything went downhill and he passed away.
She broke down several times, stood and fell again. She bravely survived the roller-coaster of emotions, she was numb, heartbroken and thirsty of her father's warm gaze.
Kim Min-Jae dwelled by her side, took care of her, supported her emotionally when needed. He was trying hard to make her like him but it was doubtful and uncertain for some reason.
Seon-Ho kept an eye on him as he was very dubious and oh he was not stunned, to be exact he was very used to it.
A lot of guys came by, tried to fiddle and took advantage of her innocence but every time Seon-Ho hushed them away. But this time, Seon-Ho felt a little exotic than usual, a little sceptical but more of someone who he decided to trust.
She was emotionally volatile and fragile so she didn't think a lot about it.
The day ended, it increased the voids of doubts and the pain caused by the unanswered question; it was an upheaval of feelings and reality.
Who is Min-Jae? Why is he sticking around? Is he guilty about something?
Days passed by,
She was restoring day by day. Min-Jae visited her every morning with gifts and flowers and oh, he gifted her a brand new phone too.
He came off rich, of course, he was the owner of that famous and elegant hotel in Korea whilst Seon-Ho kept a gape on him too, he was quite overprotective about Min-Jae being around her but she told him not to worry and that she is wise enough to address it alone if anything happens.
She was mentally ready to entrust Taehyung some space so he can let out the reason he stayed around her for all this time.
Hours altered into days, the instability kept growing inside her. Her existence was not eager to move on after a huge loss. She stayed in bed for days and let the sorrow get to the roots of her fear. The fear of being left alone.
Seon-Ho and Min-Jae somehow teamed up, they were striving their best to make her feel good, she smiled for them but when they were gone, she was miserable, polling the purpose of her life.
She was strong and kept fighting but it was too much for her to handle.
She kept it all inside, she didn't want anybody to know this but at the same time, she was not strong enough to put these into words and express it.
Soon the tables turned, fate's magic spell and portions began to work. A new moon carried something for her. A candle that might help her to see evidently.
Min-Jae gifted her a scented candle as she cherished a room that smelt like lavender but more of roses.
The feelings deviated. Every little thing that Min-Jae did for her came to her notice.
Jin-Ae's heart battered at how Min-Jae visited the hospital every day, took some time off his busy schedule to spent time with her just to make her feel better. Most of all, he never touched her but always moved with what she likes and where her soul feels skilled in sensing peace and harmony.
In no time, she felt warm and safe around him. She didn't know him, but she yearned for him to stay as long as he can.
He had something, something that entices her towards him, more powerful than a magnet. It is Love, yes.
Love that makes the skin sting, a love like warm hands that caresses cold hands and instantly engraves it into feeling alive. Love that makes the dull marble shiver and shines in stardust sunlight.
The idea of true love, finding another half perpetually fascinated Jin-Ae. She always waited for the morning when the glint of gold flashes on her window, her glasses crawl down to her nose with her hair moving parallel to the wind and when birds sing a romantic melody that makes her heart skip a beat, to which she would dance and bounce feeling euphoric. The wait was over. Love happened.
That's when Min-Jae entered the room with an angelic look, glowing like a moon in the daytime.
She blinked several times when Min-Jae snapped his fingers in front of her. She hurriedly sat on the bed looking down with her cheeks burning.
She was falling in love with him. Every day he would make her giggle, feed her, watch movies with her, share memes, and everything a newlywed couple would do.
He made her end up on another side of him, the side where his storms, dreams and madness brought her peace.
Slowly and gradually, the aroma of devotion, the portions helped her to accept actuality. She would brag about Min-Jae to everyone, her diary, the nurses and Seon-Ho too.
He was happy to see her twinkle and glisten again. He lost the tiny naive Jin-Ae he used to know, but now he knows a Jin-Ae who was madly in love with someone who brought her yellow back.
Min-Jae littered her with the vestigial of self-love and Seon-Ho was truly happy about it.
Time fled, 3 months to be specific, she was in the hospital. Enchantingly, warmth and tenderness made everything easy, the injuries were somehow better but something in her health was taking turns, she was feeling a little groggy and nauseous but overall, she was fine.
After evaluating her condition, Seon-Ho decided and allowed her to go home.
Jin-Ae lunged in the air as if she was transported to heaven. She was thrilled to go out and feel the world, to go out with Min-Jae and sense the fondness of the world. She was excited for her dreamy confession, the strawberry farm dates, stargazing nights, hand-written love letters for when they would miss each other, the secret night stays and everything that sounds ravishingly pleasing.
She waited for him whilst drooping into a daydream where they would be sipping coffee in the lavender fields.
Jin-Ae was relishing in her wonderland meanwhile, Min-Jae was fully occupied trying his best to help Jin-Ae find a good scholarship where they sponsor talented designers and help them to whirl their career into a bright one. After knowing her, he came to know about how qualified she was, her ootd, her retros, her mastery, her aesthetics that were apparent and spectacular. He embraced and became a number one fan of her abilities, soon then he concluded to help her to define them and swivel into a masterpiece. A masterpiece, everyone should get to see and admire. Min-Jae ran around all the city, fleeing here and there to impress her and send her away from the chaos she might get into. He knew it, it was her last day at the hospital so he planned things in advance as he wanted to work on it one by one, and finish it perfectly, without any flaws. He didn't want anything to be flawed or less preapred, especially now that he found the love of his life.
Jin-Ae got discharged. She thanked the staff for taking care of her and gave Seon-Ho a giggly goodbye hug in the end. That hug made Min-Jae gape at them without even blinking for once as he shambled towards the door but Seon-Ho relished that. Jin-Ae's heart began whipping hastily just by his gaze and the weird surge of stares between two handsome guys. She could feel something, in another type of way. In a haste, she grabbed her phone and ran to get to Min-Jae's speed. "Hey, slow down", Jin-Ae wailed taking hold of her breath as she took a glance of his clenched jaw and immediately looked forward in confusion. "Is he jealous?", Jin-Aethought that's when Min-Jae responded. "Oh, your small legs can't keep up. I see", Hesaid smirking evilly whilst he adjusted Jin-Ae's heavy bags on his broad, tough shoulders. She was disgruntled and lugged her lips to the side as she face-palmed herself menta
The tranquil, balmy wind made the hectic day a little more alive meshed with some extra frustration as no one knows why the sun is so indignant. The clock struck noon, parents were panicking with a wrinkled face and sweaty shirts striving their best to reach on time fulfilling the crazy Monday duties, to pick their infants. Hot, dazzling sunlight start reflecting through the small glass window with tiny faded colour paper hearts on it, in a room full of clutter. A peachy smell wavered around the house except that one room which felt vacant, strangled and a lot quiet than before. It was now locked for forever till Jin-Ae dare to look back and embrace the change and the fact that life goes on. Jin-Ae sat down groaning loud enough to tell that she was weak and frustrated. Muffin, Bichon Frise a cheerful small white dog woofed at Jin-Ae to get her attention. She grinned at him and peered at the mess she made. "If Da
Jin-Ae clapped her hands in excitement and went to the kitchen looking for plates. "Oh, what are you doing here? I speculated you went to start a movie" Jin-Ae inquired, furrowing her eyebrows as she entered the lavender-scented kitchen and opened the cabinets to find the plates. "Ahh, Nothing! I'm... I'm thirsty." He hastily mumbled while scratching his neck and peeking everywhere but her. Jin-Ae got absorbed into the moment as she was trying not to make any noise and wake muffin up. He rashly came out of the kitchen and sighed loudly. "I almost got caught" he grumbled to himself as he took some popcorns in his hand and settled down on the couch. "Here, water! Why did you run out like that? I'm not gonna eat you." Min-Jae opened his eyes wide, to which Jin-Ae grinned at his silliness. Jin-Ae was glaring at him, taking up all the remaining time to memorize his every little detail so she doe
Jin-Ae tried to sense the oddness in the air. She dropped her head and sighed deeply to settle down her anxious thoughts and blinked twice to inspect, what if she miraculously see something. Soon, mild earthy smell mixed with a sense of delicacy and softness hit her. Jin-Ae got goosebumps as this was her dad's favourite, the daisies and forget-me-not flowers. Jin-Ae took long deep breathes, taking in all of the smell, apropos of she never knows when she'll be able to this smell again, when two hands helped her remove the blindfold, slowly. She got startled and felt something different. Her heart thudded loudly as if it would shred out of her chest right away anytime soon. Slowly and deliberately, the darkness faded away, she opened her eyes. It took her a moment to adapt her eyes to the warm lighting of the cosy room. Her eyes focused solely on the woman shoes which were there in front of her. Everything els
The phone rang."🎶Imagine your faceSay hello to me'Til all the bad daysThey're nothing to meWith you🎶" (Winter bear by Kim Taehyung)Min-Jae picked up the phone call simultaneously as he adjusted his Rolex watch on his wrist."yeoboseyo," Min-Jae mumbled and swirled his eyes which was filled with desperateness for someone. An old woman retorted back from the other end of the phone."I don't have any time for the hellos.Min-Jae made a revolted face as he strolled towards a quiet place. When? Jin-Ae is departing from Korea?" A cunning voice implored.Min-Jae paused a little, then responded, "She'll be leaving in 3 days."She sighed dramatically and asserted, "Oh My God! You're so slow. I should have asked someone else." She ridiculed him, considering that Min-Jae could sense her smirking evilly on the other end. Moreover, I heard you're proposing to her?" Min-Jae was about to whisp
Suddenly, the car stopped, they flitted forward as the driver pulled the brake. Shortly after, the car was replenished with scary silence and strange stares. Little small junctures that felt like an eternity soon got over. The driver nudged the curtain that was attached between the passenger and driver's seat. Oh to be the Celebrity's type of car it was. Jin-Ae finally gathered her nervous self and implored. "Where are we?", Jin-Ae glared at the cameraman for answers with her narrowed brows, who again gave her, his signature smirk. He then, rolled his eyes as they wandered back to the driver. The cameraman gestured to the driver. The driver immediately reflexed to the signal and unlocked the doors. Jin-Ae was mystified and kept staring at the cameraman with dozens of concerns in her mind. She was trickling. In a blink of an eye, she heard footsteps from the outside. Gradually, the deliberate and small fo
Jin-Ae stared into his eyes and cupped his face gently in her palms as her stomach commenced to ravage inside. She was about to mumble something but abruptly, she felt nauseous. She instantly covered her mouth with her hands to avoid any type of mess. In a blink of an eye, Min-Jae got startled like a little child as soon as he caught a glimpse of it. He quickly inquired as he pulled her by her waist, a lot more closer to him, "Are you okay?" He was quivering with concern and worry whereas, Jin-Ae got warm from embarrassment. "Uhm- yes!", Jin-Ae somehow managed to respond to him, looked down and grinned like an idiot. Min-Jae could be a tot too? Who knew. It wasn't until Min-Jae could grasp her smirking, he then, cleared his throat and stood up straight like a gentleman he is as he adjusted his coat. He told Jin-Ae to sat down on the mat and tried to soothe her down with his all-time cold face. He instructed the camerama
