Alpha Leo's dark past

"There is no need for you guys to waste time anymore. I see that the problem is coming from you, Sophia, but then you should make haste while the sun shines" The seer Admonished.

That was the last drop of the hat before Alpha Leo gave the seer some amount of money and we were already on our way back.

"You knew this all along didn't you?" I asked Alpha Leo as we journeyed back home.

"Of course, I don't. I'm sure you saw how shocked I was to hear that so there is no need for you to lay accusations on me" He replied.

"How then did you know to take me there?" I probed still not buying his Idea.

He may have initiated some kind of dealing with the Seer beforehand, all to convince me into accepting him.

"As an Alpha, there are occasions when you don't just rely on your judgment or reasoning but seek the knowledge of others and that includes people like the seer we just met" He replied and I saw some sense in that answer of his.

"So what are we going to do now?" I asked.

"I should be asking you that question, you are the one that kept rejecting me" He replied and I heaved in response.

"But don't worry, I promise to give you some time…. Take all the time you want, and think it over, "he replied.

From that time on, I was treated as a different person and even given a tent of my own to stay in the pack and so left Bradley's house.

Two men were also brought to guard me and there were maids too, at my beck and call.

Is this what it feels like to be a Luna? Gosh, I wasn't even one yet, and I'm already getting all the preferential treatment. I doubt I would even adjust to such a life.

As I lay in bed that night, I couldn't help but feel lost and alone. I missed my mother, and I hoped that she would come looking for me soon.

The uncertainty of my future was too much to bear, and I didn't know how I was going to face Alpha Leo or his pack again.

I couldn't shake off the feeling that things were only going to get worse from here on.
