Ember's POV

I looked around, unable to believe my eyes. This could not possibly be Faye's room.

Mia probably got it all wrong.

I moved around, looking around in amusement at how childish the room was. It felt like it was an actual child living inside. If I haven't seen Faye already, I would think she was a five year old kid from how the room was set up.

There were children's toys everywhere, a train station set up in the room, some toy animals hanging from the ceiling and so many more crazy but amusing things. I couldn't list them all.

If this room truly belongs to Faye then I could understand why she wouldn't want anyone to see this.

It screams crazy!

For a matured lady like her to still love and enjoy playing with things meant for kids, I could imagine how embarrassing that will look like when others find out.

I wonder if Alec and Tyler knew about this but just chose to turn a blind eye to it. She might be able to keep this part of her away from the maids and guards but I doubt she

Alec's POVI flung my arms fiercely, going for Tyler's head but he dodged, swiftly going for my belly, catching me off guard.I stumbled back, panting heavily, and he grinned, having so much fun."You look distracted brother, you left your sides wide open as though you're asking me to come and feast," he said, stating the obvious.I rolled my eyes, wiping the sweat off my face, ready to go in for another punch. "You're one to talk after all, you're not the one disliked the most by Ember."Once again, he easily blocked my punch but I didn't let him off that easily, I immediately jabbed him in the belly with my knee, forcing him backwards."So, this is about Ivy?," he said, correcting me. I liked Ember more, Ivy didn't sound like her but if I wanted every other person to recognize her as Ivy, I had to do the same too."She hates me," I revealed, frowning."It's not like you've done anything to make her like you either," he replied, shrugging."I wouldn't say she likes me either but comp

Ember's POVI kept having flashes of Brandon's dad, dead beside me and my hands filled with his blood."Murderer!" I could hear them yelling in my head, their fingers pointed at me and I shook my head, aggressively, tears streaming down my eyes."No, no, no, I didn't kill him, I didn't kill him!" My voice was inaudible and no one seemed to hear me.I crouched in a corner, my hair disheveled, my hands filled with blood and accusative glares being thrown my way. No one believed me, they wanted me dead. I could hear their incessant cries for my blood overshadowing my plea for innocence."I didn't do it!" I muttered under my breath, trying to convince myself since no one else seemed to believe me."Ember!" Someone whispered, calling out to me and I looked up, my face stricken with tears, trying to pinpoint where the voice came from."Ember, I believe you," the voice said again calmly and tears filled my eyes."You do?" I asked, every other person disappearing and I was left alone in an em

Ember's POVI groaned in frustration for the millionth time, tired of doing nothing and just laying in bed all day."Are you ok, Ivy?" Mia asked, looking worried."Do I look ok?" I frowned, looking irritated and she remained silent, having nothing to say. The kids were presently asleep in Faye's room and I didn't want to wake them up.I've been holed up here in my room for as long as I can remember and it's frustrating, just staying in bed and doing nothing. How the hell was I to have my revenge on Brandon if all I do is sleep and wake up?As much as I hated to admit it, I was weak and couldn't even protect myself. The sight of blood was enough to knock me unconscious. If I wanted to take down the bloodhound pack, I needed to get stronger and I wasn't going to become stronger by laying in bed all day, doing absolutely nothing.I immediately sat up, surprising Mia. I wore a determined look on my face, ready to make a change."What are you planning to do Ivy?" Mia frowned, her eyes fill

Ember's POV"I thought you wanted to tell me how to get myself off Faye's hate list? Where are you suddenly taking me to?" I frowned, blindly following Mia as she led to God knows where."You need to see what I'm about to show you first. It will help you understand better even without an explanation," she replied, grinning.Mia was about to tell me how to get myself off Faye's hate list when she suddenly stopped and said it was better if she showed me instead. I had no idea what she plans on showing me but I believe it has something to do with Faye. Not knowing where Faye was, she left to make a finding before coming back to drag me along with her.I looked around, recognizing the route we were taking. We were heading towards the training room. I was gradually becoming familiar with the entire building. It was the best thing to do since I was stuck here for the next six months."Why the training room anyways? What would Faye want there anyways? She doesn't look like the type that figh

Ember's POVI huffed in annoyance, shuffling through the dresses in the wardrobe but none was to my taste. They were all bland and they didn't have the sparkle I wanted.I needed new clothes! There was a knock on the door, drawing my attention."Who is there?" I asked."It's me Luna," Mia replied and I rolled my eyes."I told you to knock two times and come in unless I tell you not to." She opened the door, coming in and she chuckled nervously, scratching her head."I'm sorry Ivy. I've just kinda gotten used to always knocking and waiting till I'm asked to come in.""You need to unlearn that if you're going to be my personal maid, I can't always be reminding you what to do. What's in your hands anyways?" I frowned, glancing at the packaged box in her hands."Oh, I brought this for you, Ivy," she said, handing the package item to me and I took it, intrigued."What's this?" I tore the package open, finding a flowered gown and some boots in the box, surprising me."How did you know?" I l

Ember's POVI grinned mischievously, everything going in accordance to my plan. I had Faye's attention now but one more push and she might eventually blow up in my face. The only thing stopping her right now were her brothers but I doubt I could use them as shield any longer if I decided to push Faye's button more."Provoking Faye is not a way of playing Cupid, Luna," Mia said, panicking and I rolled my eyes."Why are you so scared Mia? I'm literally the one doing all the provoking, you're just doing your work and following me around as my personal maid.""That's the issue Luna! Faye can't touch you at the moment to get back at you. She'll only end up incurring the wrath of the Lycan Kings. If she can't touch you, who do you think she'll go for next?" She asked and I hummed, thinking."Definitely not the kids," I shook my head sideways, eliminating them from her hit list. She adored my kids too much to hurt them just to get back at me. I saw first-hand how she adores my babies as thou

ALEC'S POVThe drive to the company was silent, no one saying anything but I was not dumb. Tyler kept frowning throughout the drive, staring out of the window and I knew he had something to say. It's surprising he's held back for this long."Are you going to talk or keep frowning till we get to our location?" I asked and he finally looked away from the window facing me."I don't understand, why would you tell Ivy to get in the good books of Faye and Everest? We were supposed to be on the same team!""So what exactly is bothering you?" I furrowed my eyebrows at him not really understanding what has him all upset."Is it the fact that I said she should get in the good books of Faye and Everest within three days or the fact that I said we would consider letting her work and train if she succeeds?""Both!" He yelled in reply."You know quite alright that getting into Faye's good books is close to impossible. I can't even start talking about how much headache Everest is going to give her.

I hated men that were weak but still tried to go behind my back and betray him. What do they expect?"Begging Alec is simply going to make him kill you faster," Tyler smiled, facing him."You of all people should know just how crazy Alec can get.""I do not appreciate being painted so badly, brother," I glared at him and he chuckled."But it's the truth, and you know it."I looked away, deciding to ignore him."I'll make you a deal, Silas," I began and his eyes lit up with hope."I'd like you to choose your words carefully. Ember's POV"Faye!" I yelled, barging into her room and I regretted doing that the very next second. "What the fuck guys!" I gasped, blankets flying over naked bodies as Ryan and Faye tried to cover themselves."Seriously, Ember, barging into rooms, is that what we're doing now?" Faye glared at me, looking not just pissed but irritated. She even slipped and called me by my real name. I wonder if it was intentional."Can you guys not do that with my kids in the house," I scoffed, totally ignoring her irritated look. "In case you haven't noticed, the doors are sound proof, stupid. Mind you, you should knock, get an invitation rather than barging in. We were having a moment." "Yea, right," I nodded, my eyes flying around the entire room. Everything was everywhere. There were clothes all over the floor, the desk was a mess, the bed was History. I think it might need a little repair and there's Faye's face. She looked like a truck load of mess and everything in this room irked of sex.

Ember's POVI rolled my eyes in irritation, staring out the window as I watched different packs trooping into the building in their numbers to offer their condolences to my mates over my acclaimed death."I didn't know they cared about me this much," I snorted derisively, Mia chuckling as she helped arrange my clothes."They don't necessarily care about the Alphas' dead mate, they are just concerned about getting in the good books of the Alphas while some are just snooping around for gossip in pretence of offering their condolences.""You forgot to mention the ones trooping in with their unmated daughters dressed like sluts to win the favor of my mates.""That too," Mia nodded, smiling and I scoffed in annoyance. They were all unbelievable. It's not even be up to a day and they are already trying to get the Alphas to settle down with other women. Isn't there somewhere in a part of their brain that tells them that someone needs to mourn the death of a loved one first? Why am I bothered

Ember's POV"Hmmmm," I sighed in my sleep, turning on my side, my head landing on something wide, solid and comfortable. I smiled in my sleep. I wonder what was so comfortable to sleep on like this. It's definitely not a pillow. My eyes fluttered open and first thing it landed was on an unfamiliar wardrobe in the room, making me frown. I do not remember having a wardrobe like this in my room. My wardrobe is purple not black. My eyes hovered around the room, landing on more unfamiliar things, my frown deepening by the second.I immediately jerked awake, my eyes bugging out of their sockets as I realized something."This is not my room!"I slowly looked beside me and saw Alec peacefully sleeping, while Tyler laid by my other side equally sleeping. I almost shrieked loudly but I immediately covered my mouth, stopping myself from screaming and forcing them awake.WTF!How the hell am I in Alec's room and why are both guys sleeping beside me. Alec's POVWhat the fuck was going on?I still couldn't wrap my head around the fact that Ember was right here in this room, with so many lascivious eyes hovering around her body. What the hell is she thinking wearing a dress like that here?My eyes remained fixated on her, a scowl on my face as I watched her laugh and joke around with Faye, and two other guys. One was hitting on Faye while the other was hitting on my mate.I thought of a million ways to kill the guy talking to her but none felt like a deserving death for him. How dare he hit on my mate right here in my presence. Someone growled beside me and I glanced at Ryan to see his murderous glare on the other guy, hitting on Faye. His rage was rolling off him in waves and he was slowly shifting without even knowing it."Get a grip Ryan! You're shifting," I growled and he took in slow breaths, tearing his eyes away from them."Sorry, I don't know what came over me," he muttered under his breath, blowing out steam. I honestly cou

Ember's POVI grunted in annoyance, trying to pull my dress up but Faye slapped my hands away. “Ouch!” I winced in pain. “What was that for?”"What do you think you're doing? Are you trying to ruin the dress?" Faye asked, glaring at me and I glared right back at her. "Why does your wardrobe involve, exposed cleavages, displayed thighs and daring dresses?""Because that's what's it means to make an impression, sweetheart. You don't always have to look so uptightly dressed. Once you step into a new place you've got to let everyone know that a hot bitch is in the room and she's loaded," Faye explained, grinning.I gave her a bored look, as she fixed her makeup for the millionth time in the car. "Seriously Faye. What's the use of any of this? It's not like you're planning to hook up with any of them.""It doesn't matter. What matters is that you leave a lasting expression," she replied, rounding up. I sighed, giving up. It was useless trying to reason with Faye. She tends to do whateve

Alec's POV I smirked devilishly, getting out of the car. It was exactly as I expected. The party was not just crazy but wild. Loud music blasting through the walls, reaching me at the park lot.If only they knew that this was the day they are doomed to die, they would play something more befitting for their funeral. I blew my hair out of my face, heading into the house.I frowned, suddenly coming to a pause when I felt a familiar presence behind me. "I thought I told you to stay out of this?" I grimaced, knowing who it was without turning back. "You did, Alec but I can't possibly do that, can I?" Ryan replied, coming to stand beside me. "Are you disobeying my orders now?" I arched my eyebrows at him, furious. "Of course not, Alpha," he replied, smiling but it felt like he was mocking me and it ticked me off. Why wouldn't he just take a simple order and leave this to me."I have a friend in the Howling moon pack and he offered me an invitation as well. I can't possibly turn his in

Ember's POVI smiled, staring out of the window. The sky is beautiful today. Is this a sign that something good is about to happen? I sighed, looking away. I really wish that was the case but gone were the days when the naive me always believed in things like that. Even if it were so, I'm simply unlucky.Arabella mumbled incoherent words, trying to grab my attention. I smiled, picking her up from her cradle."You're an exception, pumpkin. You're all the one good thing life has given me." I pinched her cheeks playfully and she giggled, holding on to my fingers."Quiet now love, let's not wake your brothers. You won't want to have to drag me with them, will you?""Bah-ha." I chuckled. It felt like she understood what I was saying even though she was just a baby. "So this is where you've been hiding?" A voice echoed from the shadows, startling me. "Faye?" I mumbled, frowning and she stepped out of the shadows, glaring at me. Arabella reached out to her excitedly and her eyes softened

Alec's POVI sat still in my chair lost in thoughts as Rome rambled on, giving me his reports but I could barely hear a word he was saying, not when my mind was totally occupied with thoughts of Ember.Never in a million years would I have expected Ember to suddenly kiss Tyler and I out of the blues in the presence of everyone. Although I was a little disappointed when I discovered that she only did it out of the influence of what she was drugged with. My eyes burnt in fury once I remembered that someone actually dared drug Ember with lecherous thoughts in mind. Too bad he died by her hands and not mine. He would have experienced worse things than death. Ember kissing Tyler and I was not the only shocking thing that blew our minds, finding out she actually killed different wolves from the Howling moon pack was more shocking. Ember's POVMy face paled drastically as my memories came rushing in. The headache I felt initially was now non-existent and I could barely feel anything anymore. I was still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I actually killed someone, not just one person but more than 5 people all at once."Do you remember now?" Faye asked, releasing my hands and I chuckled nervously, stunning them all."That was simply an illusion right? I can't possibly have killed a lot of people like that on my own at my current strength, right? It has to be an illusion." I shook my head sideways, refusing to accept that it was real. The best explanation I could come up with was the fact that it was an illusion. "You should really stop undermining yourself, Ivy," Faye grinned, looking at me with a strange look in her eyes. But—""Don't even think of coming up with another crazy theory, Ivy Rose," Faye cut me short abruptly, taking me aback as she addressed me by my full name. I frowned, glaring at he
