Chapter 2

Anna walk into the living room, to find Grandpa wei seated on the sofa, his right hands on his cheeks, his face lace with worries, deep in his own thought. "Grandpa why are you still up? It's pass 12am, are you okay?" She asked as she walk up to him. He heave a light sigh, and relax back on the sofa.

"Anna I'm fine, I slept during the day. I'm not sleepy, that's why I'm still up," Grandpa wei replied.

"Are you sure? If you are not feeling too well, let me know so i can call the doctor to come in first thing tomorrow morning."

"I'm fine Anna, you don't need to worry yourself. You have done enough already, it was because of you i lived for another twenty year's. If you had not save me that night I would have been long dead." Anna saved him on the road side twenty years back and ever since then she has been the one taking good care of him.

"It's okay Grandpa, you don't have to keep bringing it up, you were destined to live, that was why you survived."

"T-thank you Anna," Grandpa Wei said.

"You're welcome. About what we discussed, have you change your mind?" she asked, hoping he would say yes. He looked at her for awhile and ask her to come sit beside him.

"Anna have a sit, he said patting the empty seat beside him, and she did as instructed. Nothing can make me change my mind, the game has to end, he has to pay for what he did, only then I can rest in peace when I'm gone," he added. Disappointment wash through her face, he isn't the type to just give up on something, when he is determined to do it.

"Grandpa, are you sure this is the right thing to do, let's just stay here in nigeria, we don't have to go back to city S," she said.

"No Anna, I need to go back to city S. I'm not getting any younger and my day's are numbered, i want my last days to end In city S, after he pays for what he did to those families," he said. "But Grandpa it's been twenty year's since we left city S, was the point of going back after twenty years? I'm sure everyone thinks you are dead."

"Yes, that's the more reason why I need to go back, he thinks I'm dead, that's why I need to go back and show him I survived, and to do that I will need your help please."

Anna sigh, she knew there was no way out for her, if she refuse his proposal it will only end up hurting her. "Grandpa you Know I can't say no to you, are you doing this because you know I can't say no to you?"

"Please Anna this is my last request, and I want you to fulfill it, but if you decline, it would be a tough route for me, I'm no longer young to do things myself," he said. Was this her fate to fight a battle she knows nothing about or is it that she is connected to what happened?" She thought.

"Okay, I will do as you wish Grandpa. But do you have enough evidence to bring him?" She asked.

"Yes i do, that's the more reason why I'm going back to city S," he replied. She was deep in thought, she can't possibly just leave him to go on his own, they have been together for twenty year's now, she can't let go now.

"Alright, tomorrow I'll start making preparation for our flight back to city S, but before then we'll have to see the doctor."

"Okay, as you wish," he said and hugged her goodnight. "Goodnight grandpa, I will be in my room if you still need anything let me know." She was striding to her room, when she heard her name and halt.

"Anna, what about Anderson?"he asked.

"I'm sorry grandpa, the spy I sent couldn't get any information, maybe he died after suffering all those years."

"No, he can't die like that, i need him alive."

"Grandpa, you have to accept the fact that he's dead. I'm sure it wasn't easy for him as well," she said.

"You're right, maybe the pain was too much for him to had survived, but I'm not convinced he's dead, he's a strong man, he can't die easily," he said and she just sigh and strode to her room. "Wait for me, I'm coming for you." he muttered.

"Brother please you don't have to do this, you don't have to go this far, we can settle our difference please brother."

"Ha ha ha ha, he laugh hysterically, you think I'm going to fall for your sweet talks, you made me into the monster I'm today, you brought this upon yourself, and you're going to pay for it."

"Dad has always choosed you first, you are always the superior, even mum would choose you before me, you were always acknowledge while I'm the bastàrd who isn't worthy enough to do anything. I'm sorry brother I'm tired of being beneath you, everything ends today, you need to get out of my way."

"Please don't do this, I would do anything you ask of me, I will hand over the company documents to you, everything you ask of me, but please don't hurt me and my family."

"You and your wife can go to hell for all I care, and for your son i will takecare of him for you, just sign the damn papers before I pull the trigger on your wife's head."

"Honey please just sign the papers, I don't want to die and leave my son behind sign the papers."

"You heard her, sign the papers before i pull the trigger now." He yelled making them shuddered.

"Anderson wake up, Anderson can you hear me, wake up, wake up Anderson, Mrs Kate called out to her husband. Mr Anderson eyes flew open with sweat all over his body.

"What happened?" she asked.

"T-the nightmare are, are.... He trailed off.

"What? how is that even possible, It's been five years since you stop having the nightmare, why all of a sudden?"

"I don't know, something doesn't feels right, what's the time now?" He asked.

"It's 1am, you slept for just fifty minutes," Mrs Kate instantly replied. Mr Anderson sigh. "just go to bed I will be in my study okay?"

"I can't sleep here all alone, I'm scared to death, not when your nightmares are back after five years."

"Listen Kate, you need to be strong for me, this is the time I need you the most, you have to be strong. Let's go back to sleep, I'm no longer going to the study."

"But what if something is about to happen to you?"

"Listen, nothing is about to happen and nothing will happen to me. I want you to behave in front of the kid's, do not lace your face with worries. You know Alicia is the type to notice when something doesn't feels right."

"Alright, I will do as you say."

"Good, now let's go back to sleep."

"Goodnight," Mrs Kate said before closing her eyes. "Goodnight," Mr Anderson muttered.
