Chapter Sixty-Five

Alpha Davon's POV

"Elsa, in front of the entire council of elders, please tell us what you just said to the Queen and me," I ordered Elsa, sitting on my throne due to the grave nature of the issue at hand.

After Elsa's presence in the room and her revelation that my meal was poisoned, I took it upon myself to call a meeting with the elders and make my way to the throne room.

If it was indeed true that the food was poisoned, it would be the second time that an attempt would be made on my life and I couldn't let it go on. Elsa was never going to always be there to save my life.

They both helped me get to my feet, Alina and Elsa, after trying in vain to counsel me against going to that meeting. Then they led me out of the room to the throne room where I sat on my throne and awaited the arrival of the elders, Murray and Raymond.

I had them bring the maid who served me to the throne room so that she, too, could also hear the accusation that was being levied at her
