Chapter 77

Diana was in the midst of a heated battle, focused on the enemies surrounding her. She was unaware that Calhoun was searching for her, and even more unaware that Eugene had seen Calhoun and wanted to kill her before he could find her. As Eugene raised his sword against her, Diana felt a sense of alarm and turned quickly.

Her lack of observation proved to be a fatal mistake as Eugene's sword struck her. Diana was caught off guard and had no chance to defend herself. She assumed she would die but she didn't feel a single thing. She didn't feel the pain of Eugene's sword tearing her skin and sinking into her flesh.

She opened her shut eyes and was surprised to find Eugene lying a few feet away from her. She looked around, she was getting weird stares from everyone. She didn't know what had happened. But also, she couldn't ask. It wasn't the right time for questions, so she resumed the fight.

Eugene lay on the ground, his failed attempt at murdering Diana still fresh in his mind. He was s
