Dante was a pretty cool guy. I was worried that he would look at me differently knowing what he saw in the dream, but he did not. You could tell that he was already protective of me because he knew about me growing up. He personally looked for me and even came to this pack. That meant everything to me.

“Who did you see when you came here?” I asked him as we walked back to the packhouse.

“I think it was the Beta. Not sure what his name is though or if it’s the same one.”

I laced him arm around his and hurried my pace. This was going to be funny. He just chuckled but followed. I never thought about what it would be like to have a brother, but it was pretty cool so far.

‘Baby, is Beta Oscar being kept in the cells?’ I asked.

‘Of course. It’s the finest establishment this packhouse has to offer. He and Dulaney are in the last cell. Want to go see him?’

‘He’s the one that Dante met at the border, so I wanted to let the dipshit see how fucked he is,’ I purred to my mate.
