Sebastian's POV
I watched as Loretta stormed out of the car and into the palace. Her anger was obvious in every step she took. I had already decided that I would not let her out of my sight until she had given birth to my child. I could sense that she was hiding a dark plan, and I was determined to stop her from making it come true.
I followed her into the palace. As she walked down the long corridor, I noticed her gathering her belongings. It was almost as if she believed she could simply leave me behind. I raised my voice, keeping it calm but firm.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
Loretta turned to me, her eyes burning with fury. "Am I blind?" she spat. "Can’t you see I’m packing? I’m done with this fake marriage. I’m going back to my father’s house. I cannot live in this hell just so you can force me to do what you want. I hate you. You don’t deserve love, and you certainly don’t deserve me. You are nothing more than a ruthless, bitter Lycan king, doomed to be alone forever."
Her words dripped with hatred, but instead of feeling hurt, I laughed. A cold, dark feeling stirred inside me—the part of me I had tried to keep hidden since my rebirth. I saw the fear flicker in her eyes, and that told me I had the power here.
"There will be no divorce," I said in a low, menacing tone. "Divorce will only happen on my terms. For now, you will remain in the palace as my bound slave. Since you refuse to be my Luna, I am taking that title away from you. You will be nothing more than a slave girl who is carrying my baby."
I saw the fear in her eyes, and it pleased me. "You will be locked in this room," I continued. "You will have no access to any other part of the palace. You will stay here until the day you deliver my baby. After that, you are free to do as you wish."
I left the room with a heavy heart of darkness, only to return with a group of guards. They moved quickly, standing at every corner of her small bedchamber. I made sure that all of her belongings were removed, leaving only what she needed to survive.
Before I turned to leave, I looked at her one last time. I made sure she felt the full weight of my words as I spoke, "I am not a Lycan king to be toyed with."
And with that, I walked away, leaving Loretta alone in the silent room, her fate sealed by my command.
Eleanor's POV
I couldn’t shake the words Mary had spoken. “Your powers are strange to our pack,” she had said. What did that even mean? The question echoed in my mind, stirring doubts and fears. I needed answers, but I knew I wouldn’t get them from my father. He had always been secretive about my mother. I remembered the one time I had asked him about her, and his reaction had chilled me to the bone.
Loretta had once mentioned that I did not share the same mother as the rest of the pack. That hint had ignited a flame of curiosity in me that I could not put out. When I asked my father who my mother was, he rebuked me harshly. For days afterward, he locked me in my room, insisting that I was being stubborn. The memory of that punishment still sent shivers down my spine, and it kept me from asking him again. The fear I felt then stayed with me, a heavy burden I carried each day.
But the truth had to be known. I could not live with so many questions unanswered. That is why I decided to ask Loretta. If she had mentioned something about my mother before, perhaps she knew more than she let on. Maybe my mother did not belong to our pack at all. Maybe she was from another pack or even still alive. The thought both excited and terrified me.
That very evening, despite the stormy weather and the cold rain that fell hard against the palace walls, I left the safety of my home. I made my way toward Sebastian’s pack, hoping that Loretta would help me uncover the secrets of my past. I knew Loretta and I were not on good terms, yet I prayed that she could see past our differences and answer the questions burning inside me.
Before I set off, I made sure my departure remained a secret. I left clear instructions for the pack to stay alert through the night, so that no one would worry or try to stop me. My heart pounded with a mix of anticipation and fear as I stepped out into the tempest. Every step carried me closer to a truth that could change everything.
The wind howled around me, and the rain soaked me to the bone, yet I pressed on. I thought of my father’s cold, unyielding eyes and the terror of that long-ago day when I dared to ask about my mother. I shivered at the memory, but I also felt a flicker of hope. With each step, I imagined the answers I might find—answers that could reveal who I truly was and where I came from.
As I traveled through the dark, stormy night toward Sebastian’s pack, I knew the journey ahead was fraught with uncertainty. But the need to know the truth burned brighter than any fear. I held onto that hope tightly, even as the wind whipped around me and the night deepened. Soon, I would come face to face with Loretta, and I prayed that she would help me unlock the secrets of my past, no matte
r how hidden they had been for so long.
Loretta's POV I was both shocked and oddly amused when the guard announced that Eleanor had come to visit. Yet, as I thought about it, I realized I should not be surprised. I had been expecting her arrival for some time now. In my mind, Eleanor was the one pulling the strings, the mastermind behind the plans meant to ruin my life.I stepped aside and welcomed her into my room. The space was dimly lit, with shadows dancing on the walls, and I could see the flicker of surprise in her eyes as she entered. She looked startled, as if she had not expected to see me here at all. What could she have imagined? Did she picture me locked away in a dark dungeon, tied and chained like a prisoner? I wondered if the suffering I endured under Sebastian was not enough for her. With a sharp tone, I asked, "I hope you're happy seeing me suffer." My words dripped with sarcasm, meant to wound as much as to provoke. Eleanor's face remained calm and innocent. "I don't understand you," she replied softly, h
Eleanor's povThe sunlight hit my eyes the moment I threw the bedcovers away from my face and I closed them immediately. With a low wince, I gently opened them again, looking around me. Where was I? How did I even end up here? The last thing I remembered before everything went out was Sebastian twirling his wine in his glass while smirking at me. Now, it all came back to me. I had eaten a walnut. Sebastian had tried to poison me! He knew I was allergic and tried to kill me. That bastard!I tried to get up but a force jerked me back in bed. I turned to see a chain tied to the bedpost and around my wrist. He even had the effrontery to chain me up.“Sebastian!” I yelled his name as loud as I could but got no reply.“Sebastian!” I yelled again. It was still the same. No one answered me.I gritted my teeth and turned to rip off the chains but the more I tried to, the more they cut into my wrist.Just then, heat pooled in between my legs. A moan escaped my lips and I gripped the sheets with
Eleanor's POVI gasped in shock. I have powers now?“Fetch more water!” Another guard cried out.I leaned on the iron rail and watched them scramble for buckets of water like soldiers ants scattered around the floor. They looked so pathetic as they wailed helplessly. I found it strange but in a way I wanted their screams to be louder. I stretched my hand towards Sebastian's favourite carriage and it caught fire.A laugh escaped my lips and I let it echo with the wind.“How the heck did that tree catch fire!” Sebastian yelled as he ran in with two guards flanking him.“My carriage!” He yelled again.I cupped my hand over my mouth. “Serves you right, asshole.”He stood at akimbo, watching the guards and maids quench the fire.A man ran to meet him and whispered in his ears. He looked up at the window and our eyes met. I could see the rage in his piercing green eyes. His hair danced in the wind as the fire died down and he didn't stop staring at me.I threw him a wink at him and went bac
Eleanor's povThe last thing I remembered before the darkness swllowed my consciousness was me fighting for my life in the dark river and now, I was alive and not just alive but I was on my way to Sebastian's pack. How in the world did this happen?I looked down at my hands. The hands my rapists had stabbed when I tried to claw at their faces. There were no scars or bruises on them instead they were silky and smooth. I felt my face. I was warm and alive. The Moon Goddess really granted me my request. The carriage hurtled to a stop and the horses snorted loudly. We had arrived at the BloodMoon pack. The carriage door was held open and the coachman, a middle-aged man in black uniform, held out his hand for me.“We're here, my lady.” Amelia said quietly. For a moment, I hesitated.“My lady?” The coachman repeated, his voice snapping me from my intrusive thoughts.“Right.” I took his hand and was helped down from the carriage.Amelia came down and held an umbrella over my head. “Shall we,
Sebastian's povI sat in my office going over last night's event.Who started the fire and why?It was a question no one had an answer to. Not even I had an answer to it. There were no traces of gasoline or fossil fuel. There were even no traces of match boxes or a lighter or anything that could start a fire. It was as though the fire started on it's own and that was impossible. Fire didn't just started by itself. There had to be a manmade interference. Someone caused this fire but who?A light knock snapped me from my thoughts and I looked up. It was Luca, my beta.I leaned back into my seat, wondering why he was here. “Yes?”“Sir, the meeting is about to begin.” He said.Oh, the meeting with delegates from the Bloodfang pack. I had completely forgotten about it.“Sure. Let's go.” I said.Usually, I would take the shorter way to the meeting hall but this time, I felt like I needed to clear my head from last night so I decided to take a longer route though the hall leading to the gard
Eleanor's povThe joy I felt in my heart was something I hadn't felt in a while.By now Sebastian must have realized his mistake. The woman he had slept with thinking it was me, was actually my sister, Loretta. My plan had perfectly played out the way I wanted it to.I could imagine the look on Sebastian's face. My victory was a punch to his gut. Now, he had slept with Loretta, he would have to marry her. When Loretta heard the news, she was devastated. 2 years ago, she had planned this to avoid getting married to Sebastian because of the rumours about him. Sebastian wasn't exactly a benevolent king and the praises people sang about him were not cheerful ones.I watched Loretta sobs and pleaded with father to renounce the marriage pact with Sebastian and he refused. The deed had already been done. With a sly smile, I revealed to Loretta that I had intentionally deceived her and congratulated her on her happily hellish (married) life. While in father's office, Sebastian wouldn't stop s
Eleanor's povAs I entered the room, I found a familiar silhouette.“Who are you?” I asked, fearing the worst. The person turned around and my heart skipped a beat.It was Sebastian.Sebastian stood in the center of the room, his green orbs piercing mine. He looked tired, like he hadn't slept in days and I wonder why.I narrowed my eyes as he took a step closer. “Alpha Sebastian, to what I owe… the surprise visit?”Sebastian cleared his throat. Despite his polished looks, there was something broken about it. Like I give a damn what it was. “You look different, Eleanor.”I raised an eyebrow. “Different… Is that all you came here to say?”His jaw tightened for a moment before he finally replied. “Loretta is miserable.”I let out a soft laugh. “And how is that my problem?”Sebastian took another step closer. “I don't know why she is but I figured you should know why.”I crossed my arms over my chest and scoffed again. I did not just leave my potatoes for this.“If anyone should know, it
Eleanor's povThe celebration was supposed to be my day — a part to honour me as the pack's new Alpha but of course… nothing ever went as planned.*****I couldn't stop smiling.Today was my day — My Alpha ceremony.Gold and red banners fluttered in the breeze and decorations were being set up outside.I could hear the laughter and chatting of the pack members as they prepared for the ceremony. My heart was racing in my chest. I was so excited. This was a big deal and not just for me but for the whole pack. I had worked hard for this moment and it was finally here.My eyes fell on the dress father had chosen for me for the ceremony — a long red, elegant dress befitting an Alpha. I loved it.Despite the excitement, there was one thought I couldn't shake off.Sebastian.Would he come? The memory of his “confession” a few days ago still lingered in my mind. I could never forget the look in his green eyes like he couldn't decide whether to hate me or onto what was left of us, whatever it

Eleanor's POV I was astonished by what I saw. The wound on the girl's leg had disappeared; her skin looked smooth and whole again, and her bone was back in place as if she had never been hurt. A look of wonder replaced her fear, and soon, she jumped up and began to play happily, completely carefree. The sight of her laughter filled me with a quiet joy and a sense of purpose.I stood there, stunned and amazed at the new power I had discovered within myself. It was a gift I had not known I possessed, and it made me wonder what other hidden abilities lay dormant inside me. What was happening to me? How many more powers did I have, and how could I learn to control them?I knew that I could not let these powers run wild. I had a responsibility to my people, and I had to master this new gift before it could consume me. For now, though, I allowed myself a moment of wonder. I watched the little girl play, her laughter echoing in the cool afternoon air, and I felt a deep connection to the mys
Loretta's POV As we pulled up to the hospital, a mix of relief and gratitude washed over me. I was thankful I had not taken the herbs. Even though the herbalist had insisted, I had hesitated—and that hesitation may have saved my life. Now, I wondered if I had been set up. Who was behind this plot to ruin me? I could not name anyone, but I was determined to find out the truth. For now, I was just glad that I had listened to my instincts instead of the herbalist. If I had taken the herbs, I would be left to face a terrible fate—spending my days in a cold dungeon and perhaps even being dragged outside the city as a warning to others who dared to defy the Lycan king. The mere thought sent shivers down my spine.I realized then that I had been saved. This was the moment I had been waiting for—the moment to end this toxic marriage once and for all. The moment Sebastien would learn that the baby was still alive, I would leave him behind and return to my father. I no longer cared if others s
Loretta's POV I stood my ground in the dim corridor, trying to hide my shock and confusion. I couldn’t understand what Sebastien meant by his question. What secret did he know about me? I had always believed my secret was safe. No one in the palace knew I was pregnant—not even Grace. No one knew where I had gone, and I had been careful to cover my tracks.I decided to act clueless, hoping that Sebastien would reveal more. In a measured voice, I asked, "What do you mean? What have I done? I was only away for a few minutes. Can’t a Luna go out and enjoy some fresh air? Or must I remain locked in this cage forever? Is that all it means to be in your pack?"His face remained dark and unyielding; he did not believe my act. Without another word, he stormed down the stairs, his eyes blazing with anger. In the chaos of my panic, my bag slipped from my grasp and fell to the ground. Before I could recover, Sebastien picked it up and opened it, revealing the herbs inside. I felt my heart drop a
Loretta's POV As I drove back to the palace, a strange mix of freedom and determination filled me. The sleek car hummed softly as I stole glances at the small vial of herb I had obtained. I remembered the herbalist's clear instructions: take the substance three times, with the first dose being the full dose. The thought of what was to come sent a thrill of excitement through me.I imagined how different my life could be. A part of me longed to turn around immediately and head back to my old pack, where I truly belonged. I pictured my father welcoming me with open arms, ready to restore my lost status and return me to the life I once knew. In my mind, I saw a future where I would regain everything that Eleanor had taken from me, including my place as the alpha. The idea of reclaiming my power and independence made my heart beat faster. But I knew that I had to be patient. I had a plan that needed careful timing. First, I must return to Sebastian's pack and gather my things. I wanted t
Sebastian's POV I couldn't help but notice that Alicia's stubborn nature had a unique, almost magnetic appeal. As I watched her walk away, a strong feeling of attraction grew inside me. I found myself thinking about following her, and the more I considered it, the more I knew I had to. There was something daring and irresistible about her that I could not ignore. The thought of being with Loretta now seemed dull and empty. Our intimacy had become mundane—boring and plain. I had long suspected that Loretta did not truly want to be married to me, and deep down, I felt the same. With her, every moment felt routine and lifeless. But with Alicia, everything was different. There was passion, excitement, and a spark that set my heart racing. I could feel the thrill in my veins, a promise of moments filled with heat and desire. After weeks of being alone, of denying myself the pleasure I craved, I finally felt that I deserved to enjoy life’s good moments. The idea of spending time with Alici
Loretta's POV I woke up with a firm resolve today. This was the day I would take matters into my own hands. I had made up my mind long ago—I was going to end this pregnancy, no matter what it took. For weeks now, I had been planning, weighing my options, and finally, I had found a way.Once the baby was gone, I promised myself I would return to my old life. I would be the favorite daughter again, the one who always got what she wanted. I knew my father would be angry at first, but he always forgave me in the end. And once I was back in my old position, I vowed to make Eleanor’s life a living hell. I would make her regret ever crossing my path. Whatever harm I had done her in the past would seem small compared to what I planned now.I rose from my bed and had a quick breakfast. My maid, Grace, hovered nearby, her eyes full of concern. She asked gently if I was feeling well or if I had begun to experience morning sickness. I lied smoothly, assuring her that I was not pregnant yet. I co
Sebastian's POV I walked into the meeting room, wondering what the issue was this time. Eleanor had called an emergency meeting for all the pack Alphas, and I felt a flicker of excitement at the thought of seeing her again. As I took my seat, I noticed murmurs of discontent from some of the other Alphas."What's the point of these meetings?" one of them grumbled. "We have duties to attend to, packs to run." I felt a surge of defensiveness for Eleanor. "If she has called us here, it's because she has something important to share," I said firmly, my voice carrying a quiet authority. The room slowly quieted as Eleanor stepped forward. Her servants entered carrying three trays, each adorned with mounted skulls. The sight of the skulls brought a heavy feeling of unease over the room, and all eyes were fixed on them as if they held a secret meaning.I couldn't help but wonder what Eleanor was planning. Why had she summoned us, and what did the skulls signify? My mind raced with questions
