2024-10-29 19:42:56Watching the stars has always been therapeutic to Stacey. Like a peaceful meditation, a moment to connect with the realm of nature above her, and flow with the thoughts. Even in whatever pain, sorrow happiness or calmness she was in. She let the thoughts flow and overwhelm her, like the cause of the stars above.
And this day as she was stargazing, a moment triggered her. Her best friend Linda once asked her if she ever wanted to have kids and apart from her mother who always had something to say about that, her best friend was the one person that asked that and it felt so heavy to answer.
All her life she had avoided such thoughts she never was the kind of woman who fancied having a child but why was she thinking so much about this, she would wonder why her mind had drifted to such thoughts.
It was a week now and she hadn't seen or heard from Linda, ever since she learned that peter died in a tragic accident that night she felt guilty about it but did not speak about it. It was very late when Linda came knocking at her door she was deep in her thoughts she did not even hear the knock.
Linda walked into the unlocked house in search of Stacey who was at the window smoking as she stared at the stars.
"Hey," She said to her having a seat next to her. Stacey handed her the will she was holding and Linda took a few puffs before handing ut back to her, they would be mad at each other many times but in the end, they would find a way of being friends like they have all the years.
" I think I am pregnant" Stacey began after minutes of silence.
"Is it my brother?"Linda asked her off in her mood just kike Stacey was.
" no, you know we never did and that's why he cheated on me," She said not looking at her.
"How then is that possible nor did you cheat on him?"She asked her back.
" no ut happened that night I am not sure thigh I did ut out of spike and anger and now I feel very guilty, I loved your brother but u might be carrying someone else child that doesn't feel right. I am so fucked up" She said releasing a heavy sigh.
"It's okay we are in this together," Linda said to her moving closer to her and pulling her closer to her.
"I thought you were mad at me," Stacey said to her turning to look at her.
" I can never be mad at you mate," She said hugging her and Stacey began sobbing she was grateful for having such a loyal friend like Linda by her side.
"I am sorry," She said to her and Linda's eyes cringed with tears.
" it's okay we have both lost someone, "She said to her and the two girls spent their night at that place consuming each other, the funeral of Peter was to happen that week.
Stacey woke late and divided to go to work, she has been taking off and had not been seen at the workplace for quite some time now, nor was she even attending any classes.
She arrived at work and found her boss who appeared very angry at her for coming so late to work.
Stacey was very good with designs and she would make the best of clothes and so her boss had loved her so much for the sales she made in his shoo but this particular day he did not seem pleased with her not reporting to work that week and arriving that day as late as she did.
" Stacey where have you been?"Mr Swahib asked her but she was the well-prepared depth the excuse she was going to give.
"I lost my boyfriend, sir, I have been arranging his burial and it's been really hard to make it to work" she began with a very sad emotional face, what made Stacey appear peculiar was her sweet innocent face but an opposite character of who she was.
That sad face was enough to convince Mr Swahib to allow her to get back to work as nothing happened it had the charms to convince anyone especially if that is what sue intended.
Work was going on we'll she was attending to a lady who had been referred to her when Sandra walked and somehow in her, she felt uncomfortable but when she looked around she spotted Sandra looking as mean as possible and she sighed with a disgusted look on her face.
"Just the lady I was looking for," She said with attitude to her but Stacey ignored her and kept on to her work like she hadn't even seen her she wasn't in the to even begin talking about all this.
"Seems you have been stocking me, but maybe this should give you some peace lady. It was just a one night stand and I haven't seen your man or do I have his number so whatever this is just let it go girl. I am not interested in your man" She said annoyed at her.
"The audacity you have I came to do just what I promised you I will do next time you will think twice before sleeping around with other people's men," she said and then called Mr Swahib as she knew him. Stacey went back to some other business ignoring her but was still observing her from a distance her client had gone inside to try a dress she had admired from the boutique.
"Look here Mr I have only one simple request, I want you to fire this bitch and make sure she leaves without a penny, now!" She said and a glimpse of a red spark went across her eyes.
Stacey heard her and she let out a small laugh wondering how high this Sandra must be to expect a sweet old man like Mr Swahib to fire her.
Sandra turned to look at her with a grim when Mr Swahib turned into an angry man in a second and ordered her to leave the place before he calls the police on her, for a moment she was startled and was shocked at what was going on trying to understand how all of this was even possible.
"Now it's your turn Stacey I want you to walk out and head straight for a car and make sure it hits you and you die," She said to her with a spark of red in her eyes, Stacey didn't notice it because she was lost in so many thoughts what was even going on but she turned to look at her a girl with anger.
"I just gave you an order you should be on tour now!"Sandra said at her both of them maintaining eye contact.
Stacey looked at her and rolled her eyes at her before slapping her straight to her face.
" Why don't you go and kill yourself instead!!"She said before walking out leaving Sandra to ponder and wonder why the spell had not worked on her.
It was either something was wrong with her magic or something twisted about Stacey, she thought to herself.

The two girls sat on the bed with the pregnancy kit in the middle.“it is not so difficult just go ahead and take the test, you need to know” Linda pushed her to stop staring at the kit and just do the test. She got up from the bed very nervous and went to the bathroom with it.She took some time before she came out, she was contemplating whether to or not, when she was back they were to wait for the results in a few minutes.
