Chapter 74

Caleb's POV

I groaned in pain as I struggled to open my eyes. The room was dimly lit, and I could hear the constant beep of machines monitoring my vitals. Everything hurt, and my body felt like it had been put through a meat grinder. Slowly, the memories of the day came flooding back to me, and I realized that I was in a hospital bed.

I couldn’t believe that Aaron had actually beat me up. When I woke up that morning, I had a gut feeling that something was going to go wrong but I ignored it. It. I was really excited about the day’s events. I Was already aware that Victoria was opening up her bakery since Eric had told me about it.
