Arranged Marriage.

August Adams, the only heir to the Adam's corporation. She walked into the large office after which she sat on the high chair. Her brows furrowed.

She remembered the incident that occurred last night... When her parents revealed to her about the arranged marriage they set up for her when she was a baby.

This made her so angry that she walked out on her parents. She wasn't yet ready for marriage. She was only 25 years old. She still has her life to enjoy.

"Arrrgh, what am I going to do now? ''.... She pulled her hair down and shouted with frustration.

August raised her head from the table when she heard the entrance door of her office open up.

"Woah, what's going on here". Lisa Dawn, her personal assistant /childhood best friend asked her. August, who's going berserk, turns and looks with a bloodshot eye,poor Lisa has to step back to avoid queen yama.

"Baby calm down and tell me what's wrong". August sighed... "Not now Lisa, I am not in a good mood to talk". ..Lisa was so angry that she shouted at August...

"What the fuck is wrong with you, when have we start keeping secret from each other"...

"Sh*t your voice is too loud,ok fine let me tell you so listen very well! Do you have any idea my parents are about to get me married huhhhh!!".

Lisa froze, "Come on I am talking to you".

"Arrggggh!!!". Lisa shouted and started laughing. "Omg let me call Jenny it's time for celebration" .. When she brought her phone to make a call, August snatched her phone and said in a dark voice "I see you're enjoying my misery right?" ..

"Oh common August, don't be so petty. Uncle and Aunty just want what's best for you"...

"By getting me married, you know marriage is not on my bucket list for now".

"U ahhhmmm, if i may ask, who are you getting married to?". (Lisa's gossip mode activated)... When she heard no answer from August she pretended to be sad and said "I guess you don't consider me as your friend". She stood up pretending to leave when August told her it's the Ken family..

"Omg, you mean KK...".

"What the hell are you saying Lisa, oh i forgot you don't watch entertainment news, well his name is Kent Ken for short KK". August winked at Lisa as she explained.

"Wow, you really hit the jackpot girl, you're getting married to the most richest and desirable bachelor... Gosh I'm really jealous".lisa said excitedly, while staring at August who stared at her with bloodshot eyes.

Lisa pouted and said, "What? Stop staring at me like that". "You know i almost got scared with your stare, besides i didn't say anything wrong. Kent is really hot and perfect, he's just like a dream husband to all ladies only that his personality is too cold". Lisa added

When August sighed Lisa said "babe can't you really get over it ,he cheated on you with that bitch five years ago"when August didn't say anything Lisa sighed and said again." Stop doing this to yourself August not everyone is like that scumbag you know".

August looked at Lisa and smiled "I guess you're right babe. I really don't need that piece of sh*t in my life, I am better off without him".

Lisa dramatically wiped her tears and said "Awwwwwnn, my baby has grown a lot, come and take a hug from momma".

August looked at her with disgust and said "Don't come close to me because I know your stupidity is contagious".

Lisa held her chest and said. "My baby doesn't love me anymore huhuhu...".

August took her phone out from her pocket to call her parents. She decided to make do with the arrangement, besides, it was not really a bad idea of getting married after all. When she was done she sighed and said "I really hope i am doing the right thing"

Lisa closed her eyes and said in a whisper "I hope this works well"

August sat down on her office chair to continue signing her documents which were left aside when they were talking.

Lisa looked at her best friend and said "Girl aren't you tired, ".When she was ignored she frown and started whining like a small child

August, who could not concentrate anymore, looked at Lisa acting like a kid could not help and said" Lisa Dawn, you are really in for a beating," Lisa snorted and turned her face from August. August sighed and said "Ok fine, where do you want to go". August asked because she knew that was the only thing Lisa was expecting her to say.

Lisa's eyes lit up because she finally made her friend stop working. August looked at her and smiled. Sometimes her friend really acts like a kid,now she misses her other bestie, Jenny who has been away for about three months.

August, Lisa and Jenny are childhood friends, although Lisa's parents were not that rich as August and Jenny's parents, it didn't deny the fact of them being best friends, cause they were always there for each other.

August switched off her computer and stood up heading to the door which Lisa was already at,They went out from the office together,she decided to give some instructions to the secretary,when she was done ,they walked into the elevator before it closed, when they arrive at the last floor of the building, they walked through the parking lot where her car was parked. It was a blue Ferrari which was gifted to her by her dad on her twenty-fourth birthday.She loved the car so much that she modified it to her taste. She stared at Lisa who was talking to someone on the phone and decided not to disturb her. She walked to the passenger seat and sat there waiting for her beloved friend to take the driver seat.

When Lisa was done with the phone call she sat at the driver seat and zoomed off.
