“I quit,” I grunted, my arms feeling numb and sweat running down my back.

“Well, you don't exactly have a choice.” Natasha chuckled behind me as I slumped down to the ground.

“On the contrary, I do have a choice.” I panted, feeling tired than I'd ever been in a long time.

We were outside in an open field behind the dome-like palace, practicing on how to create a portal.

It was the third day of training, and I was ready to give up. There was no way I'd be able to master the Source's powers in time for the final battle.

And according to X and Queen Belinda, we were running out of time.
