Money can really do anything and as well as power. Nicholas had it all so it was no problem for him to prepare this wedding, in fact, it was a piece of cake. But still, he was not satisfied.

The event smoothly continued and not long after it was time for the newlyweds to address everyone and thank them for attending their abrupt wedding.

“Nicholas and I feel privileged to be sharing our day with all of our friends and family who have been so important to us throughout our lives. Many of you traveled for quite a long distance. Thanks to all of you for the efforts and sacrifices you have made to be with us today.” Zane gave a short speech and quickly handed it to her now-husband, Nicholas, who stood beside her with his hand intimately placed on her waist, which showed his possessiveness towards her. As if he couldn’t bear it if he won't be able to touch her.

“Good afternoon everyone. First of all, on behalf of my wife and me, I would like to welcome and thank everyone who came. I'd also like to welcome relatives and friends of both families and thank you all for being here, especially those of you who have traveled a long way to make this special occasion so memorable. We have worked really hard on this beautiful wedding, even when it was done out of the blue, the same day I proposed to her, I could not wait any longer to marry this wonderful woman. I am proud to have you as a wife, love.” His eyes met his wife’s and both showed such intensity that Zane could only flush in both excitement and love for the man. It was rare for people to see Nicholas in such a humble way but they could still not ignore his innate regal and powerful aura.

“I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone else involved in making the day so special…….” He paused for a while before he turned towards the crowd and continued. “Sticking with tradition, I'd like to say that as we enter into this next stage of our lives together. As a great philosopher once said, a man who gives in when he is wrong is a wise man. Whilst a man who gives in when he is right is married. All that remains is for me to ask that you all join me in a toast to the happy marriage we will have. Ladies and Gentlemen, I thank you and have a great night.”

Nicholas raised his glass to everyone and gave a small smile that stunned everyone. Nicholas may look aloof and cold, but it appears that due to the woman with him right now, he soon looked more humane, unlike before that people would always think of how strict he looked from afar making them make distance amongst them and Nicholas who was undoubtedly way above anyone else.

Nicholas and Zane soon left the place and went to Nicholas’ private siheyuan that he had planned to stay at with Zane for the night then they will start their 3 months worth of vacation-honeymoon around the globe. But only he knows this, he wanted to surprise his wife about his wedding gift to her so he can only pretend that they would be spending their honeymoon at his Siheyuan located at the north of the city, way into the woods and at the middle of the mountain that he owns.
