Davina is not moving as her body lays limp in my arms. I check her pulse and let out a sigh of relief. She’s alive. I frantically look around as we are being attacked by witches and warlocks. It’s an ambush and we were not prepared. Jack is dead and Mason is badly injured. Keila is tending to his wounds while Mark has already shifted, attacking our enemy. Daniela runs over to where Davina and I are at.

“Derek go! I’ve got her.”

I hesitate before I nod at her and shift taking off towards the enemy. I look back and see Daniela has put up a shield as spells exploded far from her and Davina. For now she is safe. I turn back and shift again into my lycan form. The warlocks and witches stop in their tracks. Good, I surprised them. They quickly recover and continue attacking. Mason rejoins us once he has healed.
