"What do you mean? Are you leaving, Victor?" Nadia caught on to something. She had hoped Victor could be there to back her up when needed, but it seemed that wouldn't happen now.

"Yeah, there's some business abroad that I need to handle. But if you miss me, just give me a call. I'll come back once I'm done," Victor teased her.

Nadia raised her glass. "Victor, I wish you a safe journey." Nadia already liked someone, so Victor was never on her radar.

Victor raised his glass too.

The person who was most happy about Victor leaving was Xavier. Finally, the eyesore would be gone. He couldn't be more thrilled.

"Let me toast to you as well, Victor."

The moment Victor saw Xavier raise his glass, he felt a pang of dread. The last time at Nocturnal Club, Xavier had nearly drowned him in drinks.
