Chapter 123

Ian was underneath Quinn.

"Ian," she called out softly, but he was already unconscious.

It took a few moments before Xavier finally came to.

"Quinn, are you okay?" The first thing he did when he regained consciousness was check on her.

"I'm fine." Quinn felt a wave of relief wash over her as she heard his voice. At least he was conscious.

Xavier had severe injuries on his back. Quinn summoned all her strength to push him away. "I'm going to get the rescue team."

He had protected her so well that she barely had any injuries.

"Okay." Xavier was calm despite the searing pain in his back. As long as she and Ian were safe, nothing else mattered.

Quinn quickly summoned the rescue team. They arrived and carefully lifted both Ian and Xavier onto stretchers and into an ambulance.

Quinn climbed in with them.

The doctors immediately began assessing Ian's condition, which was grave.
