Chapter 12

Ava's P.O.V

I was supposed to go to Summer's house and tell her what had happened, but I needed to clear my head first so I just headed home instead. When I got home I saw Summer's car in the garage. I let out a disappointed sigh before entering the house. I checked up on the twins, they were already fast asleep so I went to my room where Summer was sure to be in.

Summer was lying down on the bed with a novel in hand and as soon as she saw me, she dropped the book and sat up straight.

"I've been calling you and you didn't pick my calls, typical you Ava" She said as soon as I stepped in and without waiting for a reply, she continued

"I'm guessing it went well since Raymond called to tell me he'll come sign the contract tomorrow morning but what I don't get is why you look like death" She said

I took in a deep breath, sat on the sofa and removed my shoe as I was trying to collect my thoughts. I finally had the words to say to Summer

"Well, I'm glad he said that. congratula
