The room was filled with tension as Andrew and Jada locked eyes in a silent standoff. Mr. Hudson's face contorted with frustration as he tried to mediate the situation.

"Enough, both of you!" he barked. "This is not the time or the place for this confrontation. We will address these issues in due time, but for now, I demand that we all calm down and leave this meeting."

But Andrew was too embarrassed to back down. He had sworn that he was going to get justice, but instead, he was being humiliated even more, and his little bruised ego wouldn't allow him to let go.

"Father, you either make Jada knee, or I will." Andrewlashed out, and a scoff left Jada's lips at how ridiculous he sounded.

Clutching the chair arm a bit tighter, Mr. Hudson looked at his son with exasperation and disappointment. The tension in the room had reached its peak, but Jada was not flinching at her uncle's flaring nose.

"Andrew, I understand your concerns, but this is not the way to resolve our family issues,"

Finally, Andrew managed to get back on his feet, and unintentionally, he locked eyes with Chase. The look in his eyes made Andrew swallow, and he backed away slightly. "Drag him to me." Chase commended, and Jada looked up at him, seeing a side of his expression that sent chills down her spine. It was not fear that she felt, but the mere look in his eyes told her that there was a darker side that she never knew existed. As three of Chase's men approached him, Andrew looked to his father, pleading with his eyes, but Mr. Hudson was afraid of the man Chase was, and he looked away as the three men yanked Andrew off the wall, tossed him to the ground, and started dragging him by his legs as he tried to fight. Finally, the men tossed him at Chase's feet, and he looked up to see Jada staring down at him with no emotion in her eyes. "Explain yourself so people won't think that I am being unfair," Chase said as he watched Andrew crawl to his knees and then stand. Glaring at his niece, Andr

As Andrew groaned out in pain, refusing to answer her, Jada looked at him with a mischievous glint in her eyes as she leaned in closer, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "So, Uncle Andrew," she said, her tone exaggeratedly sweet, "do you think I should break up with Chase?" The question hung in the air for a moment, and the room fell silent as she added, "Which is which? You want me to dumb him or him to leave me... But honestly, either way, you will be getting your wish, right?" With her head held high, Jada stood at the center of the bustling lobby of ADs Group, her heart pounding in her chest. She had just uttered a provocative question to her uncle, and she waited for him to argue. Suddenly, her tone shifted from mockery to sincerity. "I love Chase," she declared, her gaze fixed on him. "More than anything or anyone in this world. He's the reason I smile every day, the person who fills my life with laughter and joy. And I'm not letting go of him for anything." When Jada and he

As the seconds turned into minutes, Maria had been seething with frustration and anxiety as she watched Chase and Jada, flanked by their bodyguards, exit the lobby. Just the echoes of the employees gossiping flowed in her ear, and the tension that had been building within her only seemed to intensify the more she heard their judgmental tone, and she let out a deep sigh. Her eyes, filled with anger and embarrassment, turned to her grandfather, who was slowly rising from his chair. This was the moment she had been waiting for. Folding her fingers into a tight fist, Maria hurriedly crossed the lobby and followed her grandfather as he made his way towards the parking lot. The evening air was cool and crisp, a stark contrast to the madness within Maria's heart. She finally caught up with him beside his car, and without wasting a moment, she voiced the anger that had been burning within her. "Grandfather, how could you allow Chase to leave with Jada after everything he did to my father

In the silence, Jada, Rolex, and Rob stood frozen in the dimly lit living room, their eyes locked onto Chase, sitting there, his glare piercing, sending shivers down their spines. As the adrenaline that had surged through their veins moments ago began to subside, Rob and Rolex exchanged uneasy glances. They were faithful to Chase and devoted to their roles as his most trusted guards. But now, under his intense scrutiny, they felt like they were walking on thin ice. "Master, we are loyal to you," Rob stammered, his voice quivering with anxiety. Their words seemed to fall on deaf ears as Chase remained silent, his stern expression unyielding. The room seemed to grow colder, and fear tightened its grip on both Rob and Rolex. Jada watched the tense exchange, her thoughts racing, and she pondered, 'It seems like he's not mad at me but at them. Why though? Rob and Rolex seemed to be his best men because he trusted these two to carry me places without requesting more men to go after me.

When Chase opened the bedroom door and shut it close behind him, Jada gulped, trying to calm her nerves. Finally, Chase let her down by the bed, and Jada stood there, watching him sit on the edge of the mattress, waiting for him to say something. "What you did today, calling me to get you and annoying your uncle, it was deliberate, wasn't it?" He asked, his eyes meeting hers with a don't lie to me, glare. Silence fell between them for a moment, and when she didn't deny it, Chase sighed, his tone hardening, his eyes boring into hers, "Do you even fear for your own life, Jada?" Biting her lip, Jada lowered her head and clenched her fists tightly, not saying a word. 'I know I should. I know I should listen to you. I want for them to pay for what they have done to me, for all the years they made a fool and a mockery out of my naiveness and kindness.' She thought, but somehow, she couldn't bring herself to say it out loud. "If you are not going to say something to justify your action

The sun dipped below the rolling hills of the Napa Valley, casting long shadows across the lush vineyards as Andrew drove his black BMW car down the winding road. Even though he was not invited, he was still headed to a wine-tasting event hosted by his close business friend, Lucas, because he figured his invite got lost in the mail. The event was held at a magnificent chateau nestled amidst the vineyards. Andrew's heart raced as he pulled into the grand driveway, surrounded by luxury cars and elegant guests. He had been absent from gatherings like this for far too long, especially since the accident took place between Jada and him, and he felt a surge of ego boost as he approached the entrance. Inside the opulent tasting room, the atmosphere was electric. Glasses clinked, laughter filled the air, and the room buzzed with conversations about mergers, acquisitions, and market trends. Holding his head high, Andrew scanned the room, searching for familiar faces. He spotted Lucas, Stel

Looking around in disgust, Maria had never liked the cramped, dimly lit living room in their new house. It seemed like every corner was a reminder of how their lives had taken a sudden turn for the worse. "I can't believe I had to give up my car, Dad!" Maria exclaimed, her frustration bubbling up. "I mean, how am I supposed to get around? No one invites me out anymore. I hate this house, and it's all Jada's fault!" With a scowl, Andrew glanced up from the sea of papers, and he took a long look at her before shaking his head. "Maria," Andrew sighed, "We have been over this. We lost the company, and sacrifices had to be made. You should be old enough to understand and stop whining in my ears. No one is willing to help us out of this shit hole, and Father dared to punish me for so long because of that little...!" "Can't you beg Grandpa... do whatever it takes! This can't be my life! Keeping her silence, Jada's internal struggle weighed on her as she looked into Chase's eyes and then glimpsed at the sky with a deep sigh. The way she couldn't meet his gaze had Chase studying her with a knowing look, and then he let it go, saying, "You've been working long hours, Jada. I worry about you. The morning sun danced through the lace curtains, casting a warm glow across the spacious room. Beaming, Jada stood in front of the grand mirror, her reflection a vision of ethereal beauty. For a while, Jacob, his sharp eyes never leaving the screen of his phone, got down with the other, and then he finally glanced up from the glow of the device. His commanding voice cut through the stillness. "Master Chase and Lady Jada are coming outside with young master," Men clad in impeccably tailored black suits emerged from the shadows, their presence commanding attention. They fanned out around the car, forming a protective circle, a formidable wall of security. Each man radiated an aura of strength, their eyes scanning the surroundings with a practiced vigilance. The sun dipped below the horizon, casting the airport in a hazy twilight. The flickering glow of the streetlights above bathed the scene in an othe

A look of fear crossed Jada's face, her voice quivered, and her eyes darted anxiously around the room as she cried, "The police... Why would the police come to us?" "Don't worry, rest yourself, and this will all be over," Chase said, stroking her cheeks to calm the stress that itched on her face. As he was about to leave the bed, Jada grabbed his hand, her grip tight and desperate. She looked up at him with wide, tear-filled eyes and said, "I want to come with you." "No, stay," Chase said, gently but firmly. "I am not some dog!" "Babe, you know that's not what I mean," "Stress is not good for our baby," "That's why I don't want you to come," "If I stay back, I am going to die from anxiety." Silence settled between them, the weight of their emotions intensifying in the dimly lit room, and Chase brushed his palm over his face and mumbled in his head, 'This is either going to break us up... or you love me beyond what I can ever imagine.' Then he nodded at her, a tiny smile

With a scowl, she glanced at the empty glass, knowing that the bottle was also empty. Suddenly, the door opened, and in walked Chase. His eyes met hers and the was this coldness that flashed across them. "What is it?" Melissa asked worriedly as he sat down next to her on the table and put his arms behind his head, letting out a yawn. "You killed Maria, didn't you." Chase's eyes flashed dangerously in amusement, as a smile tugged at the corner of his lips, despite the anger seething within his chest. "You bought Lennon Haven, set a trap with Maria helps to kill Jada, and when your plans were falling apart, you left Maria in that building and triggered the bomb, blasting the building and killing her inside. Truth or truth?" Chase asked as a cruel smile played upon his face. "Who told you those lies?" sh

The dread of the unknown gripped him, his heart pounding in his chest. And then, in one swift motion, the blindfold was yanked from his face. His eyes adjusted to the dim lighting, and fear washed over him as he found himself staring into Chase's cold, unyielding eyes. The look of rage etched on Chase's face was raw, causing a lump to form in Leon's throat. Before he could utter a single word, Chase's fist slammed into his nose w

I don't deserve this! I didn't know what Melissa was planning! I never wanted any harm to come to Jada!" Glaring down at him, Chase's expression remained cold, his voice devoid of empathy. "Your involvement, whether intentional or not, led to an attempt on Jada's life. I could easily have your blood spilled on this very floor, but I'm showing you mercy. Two weeks, Derry. Two weeks to turn yourself in and face the consequences." The feeling of Chase's men's eyes on him made Derry's hands clenched into fists as he struggled to find his voice. "I... I can't just... When Jada walked into their bedroom, she froze at the sight of Chase taking off his shirt, and the deep scar on his back made tears well up in her eyes. The scars from the burn on his back made her heart hurt, and she took steps toward him, stopping. Then her fingers rested on his skin. When Chase felt her touch, he closed his eyes, leaning into Jada’s hand on his back, and mumbled, "It has healed nicely, hasn't it?" Meeting his eyes, Jada hesitated, the weight of her past pressing down on her as she contemplated sharing the most intimate details of her childhood with Chase. But she knew that he deserved to understand her perspective, so she began to speak, her voice soft and filled with emotions. "Growing up, my world was a bit of a paradox. On the one hand, I had the privilege of being raised in a wealthy and influential family, but on the other hand, I felt a sense of isolation and detachment from it all. My parents, especially my father, were deeply immersed in the world of business. The HH Corporation was everything to him, and he had little time or inclination to be a father. I think he believed that providing for me financially was enough." Calmly, Jada approached the bed, sitting by him, and took his hand in hers, staring down at the floor. Then she squeezed his hand and said, "I was closest to Maria the most. She was older than me, and I looked up to her like a big sister. Maria was t
