DANTE

The werewolves really did believe we had murdered Sebastian; the letter the new Alpha, Orville sent indicated as much. I had left the letter in the care of Zander in the hopes of dealing with it at a later date. It was sent two days ago but I had been preoccupied.

“With your little pet,”  My subconscious chided.

Well, that and other matters. Kira was an interesting character; she may not voice out all her thoughts, but she had fire underneath the curtsey’s and “Yes, Master.” Her questions back at the garden showed that she was introspective. That was a quality I admired and I obliged her. She was both beauty and brains though her frame was as delicate as the powers she picked up.

A small smile graced my lips as I remembered how her eyes lit up when she was picking the flowers from their roots. She let her guard down, which was something she rarely does around me, and I don’t blame her. I deserved her reservat

  • Falling for the Vampire Prince   ELLEMEA

DANTEEllemea was the head of the witch coven of North America and Emily’s mentor at the Witches’ Academy. I pride her as being the one who taught Emily everything she had ever known in the world of magic. Emily viewed her as more than just a tutor and I hold her in the highest regard because she and I are a alike in a lot of ways, though she would vehemently deny it.Ever the regal woman, she walked in with grace, class and confidence. It had been a while since I’d last seen her but she hadn’t aged since our last meeting. With her silver hair, mocha skin and brown eyes, she reminded me of the character, Storm from this movie I had found myself indulging in-X-men.“Prince Dante,” she took a curt bow in front of me. “I’m sorry for coming unannounced, but I wanted to discuss some things with you and it simply couldn’t wait.”“Welcome, Ellemea. Please have a seat. You are always welcome in Cas

  • Falling for the Vampire Prince   TEARS

KIRA I was stunned. Too stunned to move. Too stunned to think. Too stunned to act. How exactly was I supposed to react to the news that my parents knew of the existence of witches and I was given to them by Ellemea upon their plea? I had so many questions, questions that only they could answer if only they were here. Why were they delving into witchcraft in the first place? How did they know that witches granted a request I swore only God could? Moreso, how does this link me to the prophecy? Why does this link me to the prophecy? I toyed with the necklace Ellemea had given me before she took her leave, looking at the shiny ruby. Ellemea looked genuinely concerned for my well-being; call it a half-breed’s intuition but she didn’t look like they type to be deceptive or manipulative. She said the necklace was a form of protection in case of a supernatural attack. Did I trust her? Well Emily had spoken highly of her and as the leader of the Witches, she m

  • Falling for the Vampire Prince   INPUT

DANTEAs her tears fell down in heaps, I felt an emotion that seemed to be a recurring decimal when I’m around her-guilt. It pierced my dead heart badly and it hurt to see her cry. I thought she would have protested to me prying into her private life, but to my surprise, she was open and honest about everything. She was an orphan, just like me. She lost her parents when she was young, too young to know anything of this world, just like me, but unlike me, she didn’t have a support system, someone who would help her unburden her grief and sorrow. When my parents died of the bubonic plague back then, I was at least adopted by Ambrose who had saved me from the hands of my brute uncle.Kira however had no one. She was forced into slavery at the tender age of thirteen and in a way, it’s my fault. The vampire takeover caused her pain and I wished, if I had known her, that I could have done something to help her. In beneath the tears, I could feel her

  • Falling for the Vampire Prince   TALK

KIRAA knock on my door woke me up by seven am. It was Thomas and he reminded me that I had training today. I don’t know how I got to my room last night. The last thing I remember was falling asleep on Prince Dante’s chest.Wait did he bring me up here?I blushed a little at the thought of him carrying me to my room in his arms, but quickly brushed that thought away so that I’d get ready. I settled for something comfortable-dark spanx, camisole and sneakers. After my quick shower, I headed down stairs. I made a turn to the dining area and realized that no one was there. I saw some servants coming in and out of the kitchen, huffing and puffing, but they paid me no mind. The foods were neatly arranged on the table and I for one was one hungry human. As I settled down to grab a bagel, a throat cleared rather loudly. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you. You do recall that you have training.”I turned around in ti

  • Falling for the Vampire Prince   WOLFSBANE

KIRA “He’s here. Prince Dante is approaching.” In the distance, I could see a figure walking towards us. Zander motioned for me to get up and I did, albeit with apprehension. As the figure moved closer, I could make out that it was really Prince Dante. He had on a similar attire to Zander’s, the only difference was instead of a turtle-neck, he was clad in a shirt that showed off his arms and lean muscles. The cotton material hugged his body like a second skin, showing every inch and curve. These creatures are literally flawless and Prince Dante was no exception. He glistened with the sun, almost like the heavens had made it specifically for him. I shouldn’t even be having thoughts like this about my Master, but I can’t help it. He said he could feel my emotions; I wonder if he could feel my heart racing as he was approaching. If he could read my thoughts, then it was endgame for me because that would be awkward and embarrassing. He walked with grace and confidenc

  • Falling for the Vampire Prince   POWER

DANTEKira was a determined student.Sure she may not be as sturdy as my guards, but she was trying her best and is in fact a quick learner. We had been here for three hours and I had taught her attack mechanisms and the various ways to hold weapon properly. I also taught her the strengths and weaknesses of the various clans. My methods were rigorous and tasking but it was worth it.“Again,” I instructed. Kira was panting; beads of sweat were dripping down her face in heaps. Her clothing was soaked with even more sweat but she wasn’t complaining. She gripped the branch in her hand lightly, just like I had taught her and held the weapon mid-air. Next, she rushed towards me with fire in her eyes, ready for an attack. I blocked her first strike, aiming for my chest and she tried again. I tried to grab the branch away from her by incapacitating her hands but she stomped my foot with her sneakers.“Dirty trick,” I said with a smir

  • Falling for the Vampire Prince   LEAD

DANTEDANTEShe held my wrist, gripping on it for dear life. However this was no ordinary grip. A human’s grip should not have this much power in its hold. I could feel my bones shrinking, then I heard a crack that sent me straight to my knees.Shit that hurt.“Kira,” I said, slightly in pain. “Let me go.”When I looked up to finally meet her eyes, the Kira I knew was no longer there. Her blue eyes were shining, just like titanium, almost to the point that it was blinding. Her hair was also glistening brighter the sun and she had a smirk on her face, the kind that sent chills down your spine. She looked like a goddess, an other-worldly being and she was twisting my wrist.Who the fuck is this?“Kira,” I said again, but she paid me no mind. It was almost like she was possessed by someone or something. I tried to struggle away from her grip, but it was useless.“Kira!” I boome

  • Falling for the Vampire Prince   CARE

KIRAI had hurt Prince Dante and I had no recollection of what had transpired between us. I saw the marks, the bruises on his pale skin. We were the only ones in the training field so there was no way anyone else could have done it, but me.But why? And How?Like I had related to Prince Dante, the last thing I remembered was him charging towards me. Then something or someone took control over my body and everything went blank. It felt like I wasn’t on earth anymore, if that made any sense. When I eventually did come to my senses, I realized that I might as well have signed my own death sentence. He told me that those were my powers manifesting. I almost laughed at how ludicrous that sounded. I looked at my hands, the lines both straight and crooked. There was no way I had those powers he claimed.Me? Strong enough to cause serious damage to a vampire? That was laughable. But as unbelievable as it

  • Falling for the Vampire Prince   POISON

POISON KIRA My mother always told me that I was destined for a greater purpose, something absolutely bigger than I was. Eight-year old me was too young to truly grasp the sense of her words, but now I do, I believe this was what she meant. I was to be the one to stop Drisellda using Endgame. The knife was firmly secured in my hands as I was transported to the fight. My nerves were trying to get the best of me, but I wouldn’t let them win. I had to do this to save Dante and probably the whole of North America because from what I’ve heard and seen, Drisellda is a loose cannon. I was just in time to see Drisellda trying to kick Dante in the face but he avoided it via his super speed before she could connect with his face. I hid the knife in my robe and Dante spotted me. His eyes widened and pursed in confusion. He was by my side in a flash. “Kira, what are you doing here? I thought I said you should stay with Zander?” he reprimanded. I ignored his reproof. “

  • Falling for the Vampire Prince   ENDGAME

KIRADante and Emily where locked in a brawl. From Zander and I’s vantage point, I could see that Dante was trying to overpower her, but was failing miserably. Everytime he would come closer, she would recite a spell or do something to counter his attack. It wa pure chaos. And it didn’t help that glass shattering and door rattling could be heard from even the most silent corners of the castle, making me wonder what the fuck was going on.“We have to do something.” I grabbed Zander’s arm. “For God’s sake, we can’t just stay out here and do nothing! Don’t you see,” I gestured to Emily grabbing Dante by the neck and lifting him up. “She’s going to kill him.” I really did believe she was going to kill him because Emily was infected by the poison of black magic.Tears were threatening to spill but I wouldn&r

  • Falling for the Vampire Prince   EMPTY

DANTEThe smell of death permeated the air as soon as I walked into her cell. I didn’t need to take further steps to know that a mini massacre had happened here- there was blood splatter everywhere, dried blood on the walls and on the window.I looked down on the floor and noticed that there was a dead body beside me, a body of one of my guards. He was lying in the pool of his own blood, a knife in his hands.“For fucks sake,” I muttered. I grabbed the bloodied knife from his pale, limp hands and side-stepped him. I walked in further, looking for any sign of my sister but there was none. Zander was right, she really did break her chains. They were lying haphazardly on the floor.Even though I couldn’t see her, I could smell her essence. Her cell wasn’t large, but it was big enough to accommodate ten people at most.“Emily, I’m not playing

  • Falling for the Vampire Prince   INSANE

KIRAI love you.” I wanted him to know that. I inched closer and wrapped my hands around his neck, straddling him. I wanted him to see my genuineness in the moonlight. “I love you so much.”“I love you, Kira Song. I meant it then,” he moved closer to my lips. “And I mean it now.”He closed the gap between us and our lips fell into a warm, delicate embrace. It was just us in our own little world, a mangled mess of bodies and moans. Dante said he loved me.I had waited for him to say those words to me since I came to the castle. My love wasn’t one-sided after all.Life is funny that way. If you pinched me years ago and told me that I would fall in love with a supernatural creature- a Vampire Prince for that matter- I would have laughed in your face and told you take a one way trip to hell. But it happened.

  • Falling for the Vampire Prince   NIGHTS

KIRAI cherished nights like this. The castle has had little or no action, but I could still feel that there was a little bit of tension. Call it a half-breed’s intuition.Dante was busy, I had watched him leave his room, Zander in tow as he was shooting rapid fire instructions at him. Being the ruler of a whole Kingdom was bound to be stressful and a lot of people relied on him. I understood that before me, he had a family, responsibilities and a duty to his people. We may be a ‘couple’ but I’ve never asked for more than he was willing to give me. It was more than enough.Despite his busy schedule, he always made out the time to see me in the comfort of the night. I think it was the one time where he truly felt free. He was just Dante and not Prince Dante. There was no title that shouldered and carried a weight of problems. Our relationship felt sacrilegious, almost tabo

DANTE“That aside, have you heard from Emily? She hasn’t talked to me nor has she visited and I am getting worried.” Ambrose said. Oh right, he didn’t know what was going on. “Do you know if she’s okay?”How do I tell Ambrose that his only daughter has gone mad due to black magic and she was currently in my dungeon chained like a wild animal?“You’re not saying anything? Did something happen to Emily?’A lot of things happened to Emily.“You might want to have another sip of blood before you hear this.” He may probably need a whole wine cellar. “Emily is alive.” He heaved a sigh of relief and I grimaced. “That’s good, but I feel something is off. You’re not telling me something. I know my children better than anyone.”I struggled to find the words. “Emily is alive, but barely.”“What?” he bellowed, his ey

  • Falling for the Vampire Prince   BRAZEN

DANTEEllemea excused herself to go see Emily after I told her Ambrose was here. I told Zander to let my father in. Ambrose walked in and he did not look pleased. I could feel his reprimand coming: the way the lines on his forehead would crease, his eyebrows would knot together like they were bound by an invisible string and his lips would form into a tight frown. When I was a young vampire, I used to dread making him angry. I didn’t want to disappoint the one man that treated me more like a son than my own flesh and blood. Now? I have more autonomy.“Really, Dante?” He was mad. The smoke on top of his head was burning with coal embers.“Good evening to you too, Ambrose,” I offered him my drink with a smirk. “What brings you to my humble abode?”“Dante Rosetti,” he used my government name. “Explain to me why I’m getting a frightened phone call from Master Rindall claiming that you visited t

  • Falling for the Vampire Prince   STOIC

“You’re late.”“I was busy.”I handed my jacket to Zander, and instructed him that we not be disturbed.“Doing?” she asked. I joined her on the couch in my throne room and raised a brow. Since when was she this nosy? “Nothing of particular concern for now.”“You smell like blood,” she observed. “Vampire blood, mixed with…drugs?.” Ellemea leaned in closer to observe me with suspicion. “What have you really been up to?”“Again, nothing that should concern you for now.” She may be persistent, but I was stubborn as hell.Thankfully, she dropped it and I dived right into the reason I called for her audience. “I know who killed Sebastian.”That caught her attention immediately and she widened her eyes. “Who did it?”“Emily.”“That’s impossible.”Was it r

  • Falling for the Vampire Prince   CORAL

DANTE“I’m looking for two people.”He raised a brow. “Oh?”“They are members of La Casa Blanche actually.”That made him slam the glass on the table rather loudly, drawing even more than the usual attention. “Why do you want to see them?”“You’re getting agitated,” I noted. “I haven’t even said their names.”I was walking on very thin ice, this I needed to thread carefully. One small slip-up and everything would go to shit.“Do engage me, Prince Dante, who are the members you’re looking for?”“Coral and Zane Flynn.”The bastards that murdered Kira’s family. He threw another drink back and was silent for a while, looking at everywhere but me, before his eyes regained their focus.
