The dormitory walls were paper-thin, and Sienna could hear the chatter and laughter of girls down the hall as she sat cross-legged on her bed. Her tiny room was bare except for the essentials: a desk, a bed, and a wardrobe that barely fit her thrifted clothes.

She stared at the cracked screen of her phone. No new messages. Not from her father, who probably didn’t even remember she’d left, and certainly not from her mother, who hadn’t been in her life for years.

The loneliness clawed at her chest, but she shoved it down. She couldn’t afford to wallow. Not here. Not now.

A sharp knock on the door jolted her. She hesitated before crossing the room and pulling it open.

The girl from the library stood there, holding a steaming mug.

“Thought you could use this,” she said, thrusting the mug into Sienna’s hands.

“Thanks…” Sienna trailed off, realizing she didn’t know her name.

“Camila,” the girl supplied with a small smile. She stepped inside without waiting for an invitation, her gaze sweeping over the room. “Cozy.”

“That’s one word for it,” Sienna muttered, sitting back down on the bed.

Camila leaned against the desk, sipping from her own mug. “So, how was your first day? Survive the gauntlet?”

Sienna shrugged. “Barely. Everyone here acts like they can smell the new kid from a mile away.”

Camila laughed. “They can. It’s a sport for them, like polo or lacrosse.”

Sienna managed a weak smile. “What about you? How’d you survive it?”

“I didn’t,” Camila said simply, her expression turning serious. “You just learn to fake it until they lose interest.”

Sienna nodded, her grip tightening around the mug. She didn’t need to fake it. She just needed to keep her head down and stay invisible.

But then Luca Deveraux’s face flashed in her mind—his dark eyes, the smirk that seemed to see through her. She wasn’t sure invisibility was still an option.

Luca wasn’t in the mood for a party, but the team wouldn’t take no for an answer. The music was deafening, the bass vibrating through the walls of the massive Ridgecrest mansion where one of his teammates was hosting.

He stood near the edge of the room, a bottle of beer in his hand, watching the crowd.

“Deveraux!” someone shouted, clapping him on the back. “You’re brooding again. Lighten up, man.”

Luca forced a smile and raised his bottle in mock cheer before returning to his silent observation. His teammates were easy. Predictable. They lived for rugby, parties, and the next conquest.

But Luca’s mind was elsewhere.

He couldn’t stop thinking about her.

Sienna Hayes.

There was something about her—something raw and unpolished, a vulnerability she tried to hide but couldn’t quite mask. It drew him in, like a flame he knew would burn him but couldn’t resist.

He downed the rest of his beer and set the bottle on a nearby table. He needed air.

The campus was quiet under the cover of night, the crisp air cutting through the lingering haze of alcohol in Luca’s system. He wandered toward the dorms, his hands shoved into his pockets, his mind racing.

He didn’t even realize where he was headed until he stopped in front of her building.

The light in her room was still on, a faint glow spilling through the closed curtains.

What the hell was he doing here?

Luca ran a hand through his hair, his jaw clenching. He should walk away, go back to the party, and forget about her. She wasn’t his problem. She wasn’t anything to him.

But as he stood there, staring up at her window, he knew he wasn’t going anywhere.

Sienna nearly jumped out of her skin when the knock came.

It was almost midnight. Who could possibly—

She opened the door and froze.

Luca Deveraux stood there, leaning casually against the doorframe, his dark eyes glinting under the dim hallway light.

“Can I help you?” she asked, her voice sharper than she intended.

He smirked, and her stomach twisted.

“Just wanted to check on the new girl,” he said smoothly, his gaze sweeping over her. “Settling in okay?”

“I’m fine,” she said, crossing her arms. “Thanks for asking.”

“Good,” he said, but he didn’t move.

Sienna narrowed her eyes. “Why are you really here?”

His smirk faded, and for a brief moment, something darker flickered across his face—something almost vulnerable.

But then it was gone, replaced by the cocky mask he always wore.

“Just curious,” he said, stepping closer, his voice dropping to a low murmur. “You don’t look like the type to stick around this place. But maybe I’m wrong.”

Her heart pounded as his gaze locked on hers, intense and unyielding.

“You don’t know anything about me,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

“Not yet,” he replied, his lips curving into a slow, dangerous smile. “But I will.”

He stepped back, his eyes lingering on her for a beat longer before turning and walking away.

Sienna shut the door, her hands trembling.

Luca Deveraux was trouble. And now, she was squarely in his sights.

Sienna never liked going home. I had a mild concussion, which resulted in an overnight stay at the hospital for observation. A week off school was the cherry on top, though the idea of being trapped in the house for seven days wasn’t exactly a vacation.Home was… complicated. It wasn’t a place you could relax or feel safe. My mom tried to make it that way, but my father’s moods were like landmines—unpredictable and destructive. You never knew when one would explode. That week, I did what I always did: I stayed invisible. I spent my days locked in my room with headphones drowning out the noise downstairs. My dad’s voice carried through the house like a storm cloud, barking orders and complaints. My mom would reply in soft, careful tones, trying to keep the peace. But peace was a foreign concept in our house.I’d learned how to navigate it long ago. Avoid. Evade. Endure.By the time Sunday night rolled around, I couldn’t wait to get out of there. I should have been dreading Monday—the stares, the whispers, the inevit

The dream hit me like a punch to the gut- raw, vivid and impossible to shake. Sienna . Her lips. Her eyes. Her Skin, glistening with sweet, gliding under my fingers like silk. I could feel the heat of her body against mine , a constant pull that threatened to break everything I knew. We were in a room I didn't recognize- dark, shadows creeping in the corners. But all I saw was her. The way she moved, slow and deliberate, like she was daring me to make a move. I didn't hesitate. I never did in dreams. My hands found her, gripping her waist, pulling her closer. She gasped, breath catching in her throat. "What are you doing?"she whispered, but her eyes told a different story. Her body arched into mine, lips parted in a silent invitation. I kissed her then, hard, desperate. She tasted like fire- sweet and fierce, like nothing I'd ever known. I was drowning in her, lost in her taste, and the feel of her against me. But then, just as quickly she pulled away, her eyes wide with something

  • Falling for the Enemy    Fractured Spaces ( Sienna)

The walk home from Ridgecrest was always the same. Students peeled away into luxury cars or onto private buses while I trudged to the edge of the campus, where the wealth and privilege abruptly ended. My route took me past gated mansions, sprawling lawns, and perfectly curated lives.By the time I reached my neighborhood, it felt like I’d crossed an invisible line into a world that Ridgecrest refused to acknowledge existed. At home, the front door creaked open to the sound of my dad’s voice barking at someone over the phone. I stepped inside, careful not to draw attention to myself.“There you are,” he said as soon as he saw me. His voice carried the sharp edge of frustration. “Did you buy groceries like I told you?”I winced, guilt twisting in my chest. “I didn’t have time after practice—”“Not this again,” he snapped, cutting me off. “Do you think the bills pay themselves? Or that food just appears in the fridge?”“I’ll go tomorrow,” I said, keeping my voice low.“You’ll go now,” he

  • Falling for the Enemy    A Full House (Luca)

Home smelled like rosemary and garlic when I walked through the front door, and the warmth of it hit me like a wave. My mom’s cooking had a way of doing that—wrapping around you, making you feel like the world wasn’t such a bad place after all.“Luca, is that you?” her voice rang from the kitchen, light and musical like it always was.“Yeah, it’s me!” I called back, dropping my bag by the stairs.“Dinner will be ready in ten minutes! Invite your friends if you want!”I smirked. She always said that, whether or not my friends were actually coming over. Mom loved nothing more than a full house. She thrived on it—feeding people, asking a million questions, making them feel like part of the family. It was one of the reasons Jake and the guys practically lived here.I stepped into the kitchen and found her exactly as I expected: apron tied around her waist, hair pulled back into a messy bun, and a wooden spoon in hand as she stirred something that smelled incredible.“Rough practice?” she

(Sienna’s POV)The house was alive with laughter, the scent of fresh flowers and warm food mingling in the air as the guests arrived one after another. It felt surreal—this moment, this day. A day that marked the beginning of something far greater than Luca and me. It was the start of a new legacy, a new generation.I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting the delicate lace on my white and gold dress. The fitted bodice hugged my waist, the flowy skirt cascading down to the floor in elegant waves. It was tradition to wear white for purity, for new beginnings, and today, everything felt pure.“Are you ready?” Luca’s voice came from behind me, deep and soothing.I turned, and there he was—my husband, the father of my children, the love of my life. He looked breathtaking in his custom-fitted navy-blue suit, the gold cufflinks matching the accents on my dress. By the time Luca and I had finished calling everyone in our immediate circle, our families had already told their friends, and somehow, I suspected half the neighborhood knew too.Luca’s mother had called again—twice—to ask if she could start planning the baby shower immediately. My own mother had sent me a list of name suggestions before I could even finish breakfast. Even Cassie had texted me with an absurd amount of baby girl outfits she wanted to buy.And through all of this, Luca looked like a man who had been hit by a freight train.“Are you okay?” I asked him as he slumped against the kitchen counter, staring at his phone. He let out a slow breath. “I just got a message from my uncle. He says congratulations, and that we should start looking into bulletproof windows for when the girls are teenagers.”I snorted. “He’s not wrong.”Luca groaned, rubbing his face. “Sienna, do you realize how much trouble I’m in?”I ra

After what felt like an eternity inside these sterile white walls, we were finally walking out as a family again.Luca held Matteo in his arms, pressing a soft kiss to our son’s temple.
