CHAPTER ONE

2020-11-29 07:10:35George Richwood leaned against his locker door, watching with honey eyes at the fairy-like beauty Stacy Gun walking towards his direction with her group of friends. Dressed in nice sports shorts and sneakers, he had gotten himself a new hairstyle, a style he researched that she loves on the boys she dated. She occasionally waved to him whenever she passed by. Just that singular wave was enough to make his day.
He had intentionally called in late at the football practise just so he could have a glimpse of her longer today, blushing from ear to ear.Stacy was walking with her group of minions, which were quite a bunch; they followed her everywhere she went. George was beyond fascinated with her. It was his drug to see her there every morning. It was the only place she responded to his greeting; she pretty much ignored him everywhere else.
“Hey”
“Hey, George, let’s go to the field, if you are late because of Stacy Guns again this time, Coach might really kick you out of practice you know that right?” His best friend Matthews said, hitting him on the head with the back of his hand
“Come on George, let’s go to the changing room” Matthew shouted as he walked away, he looked back and saw George still staring puppy eyes at Stacy. He signed in defeat. His friend was whipped.
George however, continued his unabated gaze on his childhood crush, they had been in the same school since childhood, the blond beauty had always been the centre of his attention. He stood there for several minutes, watching her as she stood with her friends laughing and chatting merrily.
Straightening his hair, with his right hand, he turned to gaze into a locker mirror, satisfied with his look, appearances were no big deal to him. even Marie, his troublesome Queen Bee sister had told him he was a handsome prick, her words though. He wondered if Stacy would be smitten by that.
Matthew was still looking at him, mouth open as he went to meet Stacy at her locker. Matthew shook his head at George but George ignored him, whatever her response would be, he had to try to make her know he is interested in her if his actions were not loud enough
Walking up boldly, he fronted his quarterback uniform, wearing it squarely, her friends eye him as he walked up close, their laughter dying out into an unbelievable snicker
“Stacy” he called nervously
He blushed fully as she turned to rest her soft gaze on him
“What can I help you with?” she answered coolly in her sing-song voice, Stacy Guns was not your regular student, and she made it known in her act and accomplices, she solely surrounded herself with people of high status. She was not exactly a queen bee like Marie was but she had a high standard at Dale high.
Though she was smart enough not to clash with Marie, Marie would be merciless.
She eyed George as he stood in front of her grinning like an idiot. It was the perfect scene; Marie Richwood’s brother was interested in her. She would make it as retribution on Marie for thinking she could be an all in all Richwood Queen bee. Stacy and Marie had an ongoing unspoken feud between them because of this.
Smiling fully, she urged him, her face with charming goodness” go ahead, I won’t bite you.“
Her friends all laughed at the jibe. George smiled foolishly, nervous he rubbed his sweaty hands on his shorts, he turned to look at Matthew but he was nowhere to be found. The courage slipped from him immediately. What a friend.
Sweating” hmmm… I …. I… wanted to ask if .. if..” he stuttered, his courage failed him, he stared at her lovely eyes. he wondered what was wrong, he was not a wimpy kid, he could do this
“George is it? That’s your name right?” Stacy asked sweetly
George flushed, she knew his name” You know my name? “
“Of course I do. You are Marie Richwood’s brother aren’t you?” she spat out venomously, her slim frame becoming rigid with hidden anger, she smiled a little, giving an innocent outlook
“Yes. I am” he said and trailed off, smiling at her
Stacy bored with his behaviour began checking her time” Sorry I have to go. “
“Sorry to hold you, but I was hoping you could come to watch the games later in the evening”
“And why would I?” she smiled through clenched teeth
Taking her smile for approval” I would be playing also and I have a special gift for you. “
“A special gift you say? I can’t wait to see it” Stacy replied sarcastically
“You will not regret it I promise, Will you be there?” he asked anxiously
“Why not? It is going to be a great lesson for the Queenbee why not?” she muttered maliciously to her friendsGeorge looked up, puzzled “what did you say?”
“Never mind, it was nothing, I really have to go now. I am going to be late for the debate club,” she said quietly, with a swing of her gorgeous blond hair, she turned and walked away with her friends who began giggling to each other as they left.
George stood grinning, he shot the football into the school ceiling, the loud sound it generated made everyone in the hallway turn to look at him. Catching the ball midway, he fled the hall and ran to the sports field.
The students began their walking again, while others laughed at George’s behavior. A certain person was however not amused by the event that just played out, her temperature degree had boiled over a 100-degree Celcius. Her heart rate thumping wildlyShe squashed the can of malt in her hands, spilling the content to the floor in anger
“Marie, what are you going to?” Sasha, a minion of her asked
“Stacy is never going to agree to date him which is something I know George has in mind. My mind tells me she is up to something” Trisha added
Marie shifted her gaze to Trisha, she kept quiet immediately” Just saying, sorry”
“No need to be sorry, you are right. If she dares to use George’s feelings against me. Then I will make her pay at a time she will need him the most. It is a promise. “Marie declared and continued walking, flinging her bag to her class nerd Angel, who caught it staggering a bit then disappeared down the hall, taking the bag with her
She asked Sasha ” what time is it?”
“What time is what?”
Rolling her eyes ”The football match” Marie hissed
“Immediately after the club class.”
“Make sure you notify me. I will like to watch someone make the biggest mistake of her life” with that said, she headed towards her Drama club class, while her minions trooped after her.

Mr Richwood however wasted no chance in sending George off the next day, and by the following week, he was allowed to return to Dale High with his registrations settled. He was made to live alone in their previous house which further added to his loneliness.
