Harper’s POV

A dull ache pounded at the back of my head. I remembered Marco having me moved to a new place, and last night, when I was almost asleep, he burst in like a madman.

I curved my lips; it wasn’t just my imagination. Clearly, by the end of it last night, we had both lost control.

And now, what was this situation?

I tried to sit up, but my wrists and ankles were bound with fine chains, making it impossible to rise. The room was dark, my heart pounded. There was no one here, but soon, the door opened.

I couldn’t see what was outside the door; a faint light spilled in as it opened.

"Marco?" I called out tentatively.

He was behaving so strangely. I used to think of him as serious, but since we’d gone to the UK and after, it had become explosive between us. Even if we weren’t fighting, there was always an air of tension.

As much as I hated it, that was better than this bizarre situation.

“What’s wrong with you? Why did you tie me up?”

I had so many questions.
