Joyce and Ishmael looked at each other and smiled at the interaction they witnessed, the two lovey dovey were a sight to see.
Joyce thought that they were cute. Ishmael is happy to see his friend open his heart again, giving love another chance. Considering what happened in the past; Amaro was badly hurt and it's a miracle that despite his wound he had love again.
The four of them talked a lot. Their conversations were centered on knowing about their country, culture and traditions. They also exchange some information about themselves. After a while, they said their goodbyes and went to their offices.
In the car, Kashmir mentioned about the charity ball he has to attend.
"Amaro, you are going to attend a ball this Saturday." she said.
He hates attending parties and events but has no choice because he needs to represent the company. He had always made excuses to his father and mother just not to attend parties and events. He was thankful because his brother has no problem attending parties and events so his absence was not that obvious.
His parents also understand that he really doesn't like the attention of the media that always accompanies big events and parties of elite people. He wanted to be a low profile because he wants to keep his privacy.
"Would you like me to arrange something for your date on the said event?" she added.
Amaro raised his eyebrow on what she said which did not escape her eyes.
"My previous boss always ordered me to arrange things for his girlfriend such as contacting stylish and make-up artists to help her get ready for the event. I can also arrange for your girlfriend or fiancee." she said.
"I don't have a girlfriend," he said curtly.
"You're kidding me." she said with a smirk.
"You don't believe me?" he asked her.
"You're a prince and you are also exquisite. I am sure many women will want you." she said
"I am going to ask you the same question you asked me, 'Do you hate women?' or 'Are you a gay?'" she told him.
"I don't hate women, after all, my mother is a woman. And I am not a gay. Do you want me to prove it to you?" he said, holding her chin and tilted his head to kiss her. She pushed his chest forcefully and she turned aside.
Amaro smirked. "You will be my plus one for the charity ball" he said with a commanding tone.
She did not answer him. As they reached his office, his secretary reminded him of his meeting.
"Your Highness everyone is at the conference hall now." Kevin said, implying that the meeting is about to start.
Amaro went to the conference hall and Kashmir followed suit. At the conference hall, men and women alike stood as they entered the hall. They bowed paying respect to him. He gestured to them to sit.
He pulled a chair and gestured to Kashmir to sit which she reluctantly obeyed. Everyone in the room was bemused by the prince's action toward Kashmir; they all knew that she was his new personal assistant.
They had a back to back meeting which lasted for six hours and dinner was served at their meeting. People around them are observing their interaction while they are having their dinner. No one dared to join the two lovey dovey, they could see that the prince was smitten with his personal assistant.
After the long back to back meeting. Amaro received a call from Rashid, inviting him for a drink. He did not decline the invitation because he wants to unwind after the tiring back to back meeting.
He wanted to bring Kashmir with him but went against the idea because Kashmir doesn't drink. Secondly, Rashid is a womanizer and doesn't want him around Kashmir and lastly, Kashmir is tired and needs rest.
"Are you ready to leave?" he asked Kashmir.
"Yes" she said
While they were in the elevator. Kashmir yawned.
"Are you tired?" he asked her
"Tired and sleepy" she answered, closing her eyes and leaned her head on the wall.
"Don't sleep here" he chuckled
"I won't" she opened her eyes and chuckled.
"I am going to a bar with my friend. I will let Omar and two of the bodyguards bring you back to the palace." he told her
"Oh, I will just take a cab back to the palace. You need your chauffeur with you." she said.
"Omar and two of the bodyguards will bring you back to the palace. That's an order. " he said.
Kashmir pursed her lips when she heard the tone of his voice. What he said is already final and there is no point to argue.
She saw cars parked at the entrance. Five cars including the limousine and a Lamborghini Sian Roadster.
Omar was standing by the limousine, when he saw them approaching, he opened the door at the passenger seat. She climbed into the car and sat down without taking a glance at Amaro. Omar and one of the bodyguards climb into the car. The limousine was tailed by a car where a body guard was driving.
Amaro got into his car and drove followed by his bodyguards.
Kashmir arrived at the palace, she went straight to her room. She had freshened up and went to her bed. Again, three red roses are lying on her bed. She is bewildered, who would be this person who gives her flowers everyday. She took the flowers, smelled it and placed them at the night stand. She thought about Amaro, had he arrived yet? She could not sleep so she decided to read a book.
At the bar, Amaro entered the private box where Rashid was already sitting with two ladies accompanying him.
"Hey, what's up mate?" Rashid asked Amaro
Amaro did not answer but just sat at the opposite side. Rashid introduced to him the two ladies with him, they coquettishly shook hands with him. While they were drinking, one of the ladies sat next to him. Amaro never glanced at the woman as his mind was on Kashmir.
'What is she doing now? Maybe, she's sleeping now' he thought
'I should have brought her here with me, but I don't want Rashid to see her' his debating with himself.
When he was tipsy, the woman beside him started to touch his arms. He jerked his arm and looked at the woman with disgust. He moved away from her, the woman was deeply offended and went back to sit beside Rashid.
Rashid then said, "Hey buddy, you should not treat a lady like that."
Amaro did not answer, he only glared at him. He went on drinking and kept on thinking about Kashmir. He wanted to see her, and with that in mind he decided to go home.
Kashmir put down the book she was reading, she was thirsty so she went near the fridge and got a bottle of water. She was gulping the water, when she heard a knock on the door. She put down the water at the counter top and answered the door.
A bodyguard is standing outside.
"Ms. Kashmir, his highness is a little bit drunk. We need your assistance because he doesn't listen to us"
Kashmir went to the princes' room, she saw him sitting on the floor; his back leaning on the bed with his eyes closed. She kneeled in front of him.
"Amaro" she called him cupping his face.
"Kashmir, why are you here?" he asked her.
"A guard called me because you aren't listening to them," she said.
"Look, you need to change your clothes, it's not comfortable to sleep in those clothes" she spoke while taking off his suit and then she untied his tie. She helped him get up off the floor and sat at his bed.
"I'm going to make coffee for you, it will help you sober up."
She was about to leave to make coffee for him but he held her wrist.
She turned around and looked at him. She could see the sadness and pain on his face.
"Are you alright Amaro?" she said worriedly.
"I will lend you a listening ear," she added.
He did not say a word. She sat beside him and Amaro held her hand. They silently sat there for almost half an hour.
"Amaro you have to freshen up and take a rest. I'll prepare a bath for you"
When the bath was ready, she went back to Amaro. She helped him to go to the bathroom. When he was inside the bathroom.
"Ok I will leave then, I know you can still manage to take off your clothes and go into the tub. Good night Amaro, have a good rest." and she left him.
She spoke to the bodyguard concerning Amaro who is in the bathroom before heading back to her own room.
"Amaro, you told me that I can sleep over at Joyce's place. After the ball, I will go to Joyce's place." Kashmir spoke.Amaro did not respond."Promise me Amaro" she spoke again.Amaro nodded.Today is Saturday and they are working at Amaro's office at home. They were working on some documents for his company in the US. They had a video conference from morning until 2 o' clock in the afternoon. They have also prepared some documents for the project they are working on. After they finished working on the documents, Amaro told Kashmir to get some rest. He knew how exhausted she was, but did not complain though.Kashmir went to her room, laid on her bed and fell asleep. She dre
Kashmir was stunned as she looked at who caught her from falling and saw Amaro. "Hey, what happened to you?" Amaro asked worriedly. "I sprained my ankle" she winced in pain. He carried her in his arms and walked to the car. Omar immediately opened the passenger door. Kashmir tried to move out from Amaro’s lap but he refused to let go of her. "No, you might hurt even more." Amaro spoke and held her waist. "Let's go home," he instructed Omar. "But I have to go to Joyce's place, remember" Kashmir protested. "With your condition, I can't let you stay there," Amaro said, while shaking his head.
Looking at Kashmir's innocent face, Amaro slowly removed Kashmir’s arm from his waist and untangled their legs. He went to his room and took a bath. He donned his casual clothes and headed back to Kashmir’s room. "Good morning sleepy head it's about time you woke up" Amaro's baritone voice rang that awakened Kashmir from her dream. Kashmir dreamed about Amir again, those blue eyes that are like the ocean that drowns her. She opened her eyes and saw Amaro seated at her bedside. He was smiling at her and his eyes looked somewhat familiar. "Good morning" she said, covering her mouth with her palm because she doesn't want Amaro to smell her breath in the morning. "Why are you covering your mouth while speaking to me?" Amaro asked her with a teasing tone.
Kashmir no longer argued with him. She just bowed her head and stared at her hand. She remained in that position until her phone rang. "Don't move. I'll take the phone to you" Amaro ordered He got up, strode, took the phone on the nightstand and strode back to Kashmir. "Thank you" she said Kashmir answered the phone, "Hello, who is this?" she frowned upon knowing who the caller was. "Yes, it's Kashmir speaking" she said "How may I help you Mr. Smith?" she rolled her eyes. Instantaneously, Amaro got agitated hearing the name 'Mr. Smith' but was replaced by pleasure later on because of Kashmir's cold attitude toward Mr. Smith.&nbs
One night while Kashmir and Amaro were having dinner in their favorite restaurant, Kashmir's phone rang, she ignored it because Amaro and her were talking about work. She doesn't want to interrupt Amaro who was discussing important things about the new company that wants to collaborate with them. Kashmir’s phone kept on ringing, she was embarrassed and annoyed at the same time because of the persistent ringing of her phone. Finally, she decided to power off her phone. She smiled sheepishly and said, "Excuse me. I'll have to power off my phone, it's interrupting us." "I think it's an important call, why don't you answer it first and we can continue later" he said thinking that the call is important that's why the caller is persistent. She opened her bag, fished out her phone and saw who was calling. Her heart sudd
The 9 hours flight seems like an eternity to Kashmir because she wanted to see her father badly. Being alone in the private jet, with no one to talk to, she somehow missed Amaro's presence. With him she is not bored and she feels secure when he is around. Kashmir arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila at 11 o' clock in the evening. Her friend Ryan is already waiting for her. Ryan is Kashmir's and Yolly's childhood friend. Although they are of different ages, they still became good friends. Ryan is a successful architect. Yolly contacted him when she knew that Kashmir would arrive at 11 pm, taking a cab late at night is not safe so she asked Ryan to pick her sister at the airport. In the car, Kashmir noticed that Ryan was yawning. She said to Ryan who was yawning while driving, "Ryan, thank you for coming to pick me up at this hour."
Mr. Lara was finally discharged from the hospital. Everyday at 7 in the morning Rain visited Mr. Lara to check on him.Today, Rain did the same as he usually does, after doing the necessary thing to his patient. Rain was about to say goodbye when Mr. Lara invited him for breakfast."Doctor Madrigal, have breakfast first before going to the hospital." Mr. Lara said.Rain accepted Mr. Lara's invitation. They went to the dining hall, everyone was already at the table except for Kashmir."Where is Kashmir?" asked Mr. Lara"She is in her room; she will come by and by," said Yolly. As they were about to begin to eat Kashmir came into the dining hall.
"Mother, I am going to pick Sugar Apples and Java Plum. I heard that there are lots of them near the fishpond." Kashmir held a basket, wearing a denim short, white fitted t- shirt and sneakers, she is all set for her fruit picking activity. "You take care of yourself and don't climb the tree." Her mom said. "I know what you are up to." she winked at Kashmir. "Yes, mom." Kashmir had a mischievous smile. "I don't like that kind of smile." Kashmir’s mom shook her head. "Wife, let her be. Let her enjoy before going back to work." Mr. Lara said. "Bye, father and mother" she kissed their forehead and ran. She knows t
"Are you ready?" Amaro hugged Kashmir from behind. Turning to face him. "Yes, I am." "Finally, our Adil Amir will be the crown prince of Dubai a few hours from now," she said. The king had abdicated the throne and Kharim was crowned king when Adil Amir was 10 years old. 15 years later, Adil Amir was to be crowned as the crown prince of Dubai since Amaro didn't like the position, Adil Amir was next in succession. Kharim and Cleo had three children who were all female. As Kharim resolutely chose to be like his father and brother who had only one wife. Most of all he loved his wife and never looked at any woman. After all, he was already fed up with womanizing. So he had no hope of having a son. "Mother, you are always beautiful," Adil Amir said as he hugged Kashmir. "Thank you son," she said, looking at her 25 years old son wearing a crown. "Your mother will want you to visit us in Paris once a month. I know you'll be busier than ever now as you're already the crown prince of Duba
Amaro left the room after a period of time. He thought to give Kashmir ample time so she could calm down and they could talk. However, his heart sank in despair upon hearing that she left with the children. It was like his whole world was falling apart. The thought of losing his family is something he can't live with. "Get the car, we're leaving," he ordered Omar. "Yes, Your Highness," he bowed before he set out to do what he had been ordered to do. "Let's go to Lavigne's mansion," said Amaro, slipping in the car. His wife and children were sure to be there. He knew that Kashmir, however emotional she was, would not put their children at risk. Amaro got out of the car shortly after the car came to a full stop. His heart thumping inside his chest. He breathed in so he could calm down. He was so nervous to face Kashmir and what she was going to tell him. "Your Highness, your wife and kids went shopping with Princess Lauren," said the butler to Amaro when he asked where Kashmir wa
It's been a couple of months since Kashmir moved back to Amaro's mansion. Amaro couldn't ask for more, he had his wife back. Little did he know that there's yet to come that will shake him to the core. It was Saturday morning, Kashmir was having a shower when Amaro joined her in the shower. He spun her around to face him. Kashmir felt slightly dizzy and felt a throbbing pain in her temple. While Amaro was thirstily kissing her, the image of Irene and Amaro flashed in her mind so vividly that it's like she's taken back to the time where she saw Amaro and Irene under the shower. What happened two years ago came back to her mind. Unlocking their lips, she harshly pushed Amaro. Wearing a robe as she went out of the bathroom, her tears cascading her cheeks."Hey, what's wrong?" Amaro said as he came after her, wearing his robe. Kashmir refused to look at him, dressed up hastily. "Love, what did I do to make you angry," he knew she was angry at him.
The day after Kashmir's father and mother arrived, the king and queen together with Kharim and his wife Cleo arrived in Paris. The queen couldn't hold back her tears, "Kashmir, my daughter." The queen hugged her tightly as if she didn't want to let her go. "Mother, you are smothering my wife," Amaro chuckled. "Mother, my wife still has yet to recover her memory," Amaro explained as Kashmir couldn't return the affection given to her by the queen. "You mean, Kashmir is amnesiac?" Kharim chimed into the conversation. "Yes," Amaro replied, putting his arm around Kashmir's shoulder. "How are you, daughter?" The king asked Kashmir, his eyes tenderly looked at her. "I'm fine, Your Majesty," Kashmir answered and bowed her head. The king chuckled and said while looking at Amaro, "You're right son, your wife has amnesia because if she hasn't, she'll call me father." The king looked back at Kashmir and added, "Call me father, that is how you address me since
"Wow! I underestimated your skill. You're not only good at seducing, but also good at manipulating. You have taken advantage of the fact that my fiancee had lost her memory," Charles said sardonically, his lips twitched. "He didn't manipulate me, he had proof that I am his wife. And he also has proof that Adil Amir and Avril are our offsprings," she can't just remain quiet when she hears that he was ridiculed by Charles. "Amaro, please show them the proof," she whispered to him. Amaro kissed her forehead and went to their room. Charles was so jealous when he saw how they displayed their affection. For two years since she returned, he had never had a chance to be intimate with her because she always distanced herself from him. Mrs Lavigne was agitated at how Naomi behaved in front of Charles. "Naomi, what happened to you? What did he do to you to behave like this? " Mrs Lavigne couldn't hide her exasperation. "I'm not Naomi, I'm Kashmir," she fired back. Mrs Lavigne was startled
Omar opened the door of the car, Amaro smiled at him and smiled back. Omar was happy that the prince was happy. Amaro told him everything about Naomi. When the car was already on the street, Omar closed the partition to give the family their privacy and for him to concentrate on his driving as well. He was tempted to keep looking at the prince and his family and was afraid that they might have an accident because of it. While Avril slept during their trip to Amaro's mansion, all Amaro did was to plunder Naomi's mouth. Naomi hadn't complained about it as she thirsted for Amaro's kiss. He only stopped once they reached the mansion. Before getting out of the car. Amaro looked at Naomi's mouth that was already swollen because of the prolonged kissing. A slow contented smile etched on his handsome face. "Daddy, mommy," Adil Amir screamed when he saw Amaro and Naomi come into the mansion. "Who is she?" he asked, pointing at Avril. "Your little sister," Amaro answered. Naomi wanted to c
Standing beside the French window, staring at nothing, Naomi was immersed in her thoughts. Mrs Lavigne came near her daughter, she observed that since Naomi met Amaro, she was always pensive."Is there a problem?" Mrs Lavigne affectionately patted her daughter's arm who was obviously troubled.Naomi snapped back from her deep thoughts. Her heart is troubled that her marriage with Charles will be three months from now. She tried to make her heart still, reminding herself that she and Charles were so deeply in love and they have Avril. However, no matter how she injects that idea in her mind and heart, it seems that they wouldn't cooperate with her. They screamed Amaro's name. And to make things harder for her, each time she looks at Avril, she reminds her of Amaro."Nothing mom, it's really nothing,
Amaro cancelled his meeting after he learned from Mr Lavigne that Naomi was rushed to the hospital the day they left the countryside villa.Walking in large strides Amaro reached Naomi's hospital suite. At once, he entered the suite when he heard someone say to him to come in after he knocked on the door.Amaro was rooted to his spot when he saw Charles seated on the bed next to Naomi with a toddler on her lap.“Your Highness,” said Naomi, smiling at Amaro.Amaro approached the bed and stared carefully at the child in Naomi's lap. She looked like Naomi and she had blue eyes like his.“Whose child is she?” Amaro said as he held the child’s tiny hand.
That night, it seems that sleep evaded Naomi, she tossed and turned in her bed. Amaro’s blue eyes made her awake the whole night. She had an impression that Amaro is part of her life and that he holds a special place in her heart. She wants the touch that warmed her heart that seems to be lacking in her relationship with Charles. She can’t find fault with Charles, he is such a lovely gentleman and loves her so much. It’s just that her heart and body wouldn’t respond to him. However, she couldn’t solve the puzzle when she thought about Charles. According to their story she went missing for a month and returned after a month with amnesia. Did she meet Amaro at those times she went missing? Naomi had a strong feeling that she and Amaro had a deep connection and how can they have a deep connection w
