It gets even worse!

Nicholas POV

“What do you mean?” Sia shot up from her bed, surprise framing her face as she stared at me disbelievingly.

“Exactly what you heard,” I immediately snapped, pressing my back against the door as I stared at her. “Well, except of course you have a better option.”

She didn't say anything, rather she nibbled on her lower lips, her hands crossed over her shoulders as she stared into the distance, deep in thought.

I found myself staring at how her cherry pink lips suffered brutality as she dug into her teeth, ‘This is torture,’ I thought to myself as I pushed myself off the door.

“We don't have all the time in the world, miss Stanton,” I said, cutting through the silence and her thoughts.

“Isn't there some other option rather than this… this… this marriage,” she finally completed after a while of trying to find a word that she wouldn't choke on.

“Do you really think I want to get married to you? A stranger I barely know?” I said, standing a bit away from, anger framing my face.

“I don't know what cruel game someone is playing with you by setting you up with me and then informing the media about it, but whatever it is, it could ruin the deal I've tried so hard to get and I can't allow it.”

I know I sounded harsh but hell I was pissed off. “Marriage is the best explanation for the media so you need to begin to wrap your head around the idea.”

As soon as I was done, my jaw clenched, I was expecting her to say something but to my surprise she just broke down in tears, sobbing into her hands.

‘Darn it,’ I sneered in my head, watching her slender figure shake violently as she sobbed. ‘What's the point of crying?’

She was muttering something I couldn't hear but yet I so much wanted to hear.

“Miss Stanton, it will do you a lot better to know that crying won't solve all of this. For all we know, the deed is done, deal with it,” I snapped at her, a bored look on my face.

“Can't you see it?” she finally spoke out, her tears stained face and quivering lips revealed to my sight.

“I've lost everything in a single night. I lost my fiance, my dignity, my inheritance, my own family and my virginity,” she said, weeping harder.

At the mention of ‘virginity,’ my eyes traveled towards the bed but there wasn't any red stain as a proof that she actually lost her virginity to me but then again, not all women bleed right.

Just then, a distinct memory of the difficulty I had experienced when I plunged into her wet spot flashed in my memory and I let out a small groan, a slightly hard boner rearing its head.

“What do I do now?” I heard her voice once again as it cut through my thoughts.

A glint appeared in my eyes as I watched her weep. It made me angry seeing her crying and bemoaning her fate.

“We have to take a picture, and it has to be one that is just as believable as this nonsensical stunt being pulled on us,” I declared, cutting through all her thoughts and words.

The look she gave me was as though I had grown two horns in just a few seconds. She gaped repeatedly before finally deciding to just ignore me, wrapping even more tightly the blankets over her body.

“Pick your darn clothes and get dressed already,” I snapped, crossing the room to grab my phone without sparing her another look.

She didn't say a word but she seemed to be pissed as she got up from the bed, bending low and teasing me with a small of her cleavage before standing up straight and stumping her way to the bathroom.

I watched her till she was in the bathroom, and the door was shut from the inside.

Redirecting my attention back to my phone, my thumb ran across the screen a few times, and soon I brought the phone to my ear, waiting for the call to connect. I didn't have to wait for long before the call got connected.

It was Gregory, my best friend.

“Hey Nic,” Greg's face came, he appeared to be in a hurry.

“What's this news I'm hearing?” Greg followed up with a question immediately.

“I really don't have time for all of this questions,” I said, trying to avoid more questions but who was I kidding anyways.

“Oh, I demand an answer, Nic. What is this news about having an affair with some Miss Sia Stanton?”

By now, I was already pissed off, so I snapped as well, “I had absolutely no idea who she was prior to this morning when I woke up to see her in my bed.”

I gestured towards the bed, as if he could see me and it was then I saw the glaring red stain on the white bedspread.

With my words trailing, as if under a spell, I covered the distance to the bed, stretching my fingers to touch the red bloody stain.

“Are you there Nicholas?” Greg's voice came, he sounded impatient.

“I really did take her virginity?” my words drawled out in a question rather than a statement even though it was now obvious.

“What are you talking about?” Greg asked again.

Rather than explaining what I had meant, I instead switched back to what he had asked initially. “I believe someone was itching to dent her image and now I got pulled into this mess.”

“Yeah you did,” he muttered. “Where are you?”

“I'm still at the hotel I arranged to meet with Lily.” I answered, standing up straight before I walked away from the bed.

I could hear the sound of dripping water come to an end so I knew that she would soon be out of the bathroom.

“The media would be all over the place, thronging you for information. You're definitely not getting out of that hotel easily.”

Of course I knew of all that. I wasn't a stranger to how these annoying set of people acted.

I nodded, even though he couldn't see me. “Yeah, that's exactly why I called you. I need your help to get out of here without them noticing or at least without them thronging me with questions that they could twist in their favour and create compelling content.”

Greg must have noted my mood but he didn't say much about it, rather he let out a sigh.

“Okay, okay. I understand. I'll arrange for security to get you out of the hotel,” Greg said slowly, like he was thinking about something.

“Thanks man, I knew I could count on you,” I replied to him, satisfied that soon I'd be out of here and far away from the harassment of the press.

“But Nic, I got to tell you something,” Greg said, his words stopping me just before I ended the call. “There is something else. This scandal… it's worse than that. There are videos of you and Sia… intimate videos… all over the internet.”

My heart sank. This was beyond a disaster. “What?! How did that happen?!”

“I can't say for sure, but we need to do damage control as soon as possible! " Greg said, his voice remained firm. “I'll send some men to get you and we'll figure out our next move.”

I immediately logged onto the internet and in fact it was trending news, my knees buckled and I had to ball my fist to prevent myself from erupting in rage.

“What is going on?” I heard a small voice behind me.

“Our videos are all over the internet,” I said, shoving my phone in her hands.

The next second, she dropped the phone, her hands trembling. “How?”
