87. Rohit Engagement II

Rohit's POV

When he said those words I felt like a sharp knife sliced through my heart, cutting it into different pieces. I looked at Rekha and she looked totally broken. 

Standing there like a statue I fixed my gaze on her, there was no way to describe how I felt, I wanted to struck Rahul on his face, but then he meant well for me. 

But how come it felt right and still wrong at same time. It was right for me to get engage to another woman, who didn't reject me. But then it was wrong to Rekha as I have professed deep love for her, but there I was getting engage to someone else. 

Instantly I caught the tears that rolled down her cheeks, but she quickly turned away and her hands moving-wiping the tears away from her eyes.

 Somehow it felt good, knowing she cared at least, but what if it was mere envy, and not truly love. The thought of it made me almost choked on my saliva, as I looked away and followed Rahul who was holding
