Amaya's POV
As I watched the tears drop from his eyes, there was a heart wrenching pain I felt in my heart, making every tear drop of his, pierced my heart like a sharp spade. I had no idea why he would asked such a question, everything he knew about his dad, was same thing I knew as well. Vedika said he was dead, and never mentioned him.
"Yes Samir, your dad is dead." I said to him in a low tone, holding his arms in attempt to console him.
But tears kept falling from his eyes, as his gaze was still fix at me. It broke my heart seeing tears in those cute brown eyes of his, his lower lips curved up and hair fell on his forehead. Samir was really cute and though he looked weary from all the crying he still was the cutest child I've ever seen.
I couldn't understood why he would asked such a question and was crying so much, I thought maybe there might be more to his inquisitiveness. Without any more thoughts I asked him-

Amaya's POV As I walked out of the room, my heart disturbed about what Samir had said. I couldn't believe that Vedika would ever do such a thing, but there was this feeling in my heart I couldn't ignore, she had always been very secretive and reserved. I never knew it if she was sick or down. Whenever she was alone, I noticed her eyes always were red, she would avoid my gaze and made sure our conversation was short. I thought maybe it was because she missed her family, but now she might not be what I thought she was. If she could hide Samir's father from him it made me felt like I didnt knew her at all. Her own son felt disappointed in her and me, well, I can't say for now, not until I get the whole thing straight, there was certainly no reason for me to judge. As we walked down the stairway, I saw Vedika sitting on the chair, by the fridge and like usual whenever she was alone, she was deep in her thoughts."Go upstairs,
It broke me to think that she his this from me, we spoke just few minutes ago and she lied to my face.I felt a sharp pain in my chest, like I have been stabbed with a knife. The feeling of knowing someone but finding out you know absolutely nothing about the person was far worst than I ever imagined. There was no need asking her again, but then why did she lie.Thinking about it made millions of thoughts run through my mind in a split second and every time it was all negative. What if her family abandoned her. what if she got kicked out of her house for something terrible. I really can't imagine what she had dine, every thoughts that passed through my mind, made me angry and upset. As I stood outside her bedroom door, my hands shaking as I still held the glass of smoothie tightly. It kept spilling due to the unstable motion of my hand. I couldn't help the tears prickling my eyes, it rolled than my cheeks and made it way to my lips, it was salty, I c
"I got in." I screamed again as I ran and hugged Vedika. The excitement made me partly forgot how mad I was. Initially I was thinking for a moment there I was going to just leave without telling her, but then again, thats how family is right, one minute you are mad at each other and the next minute gusting like you have never ever had a fight your whole life."OMG. I'm so happy for you." She screamed as she hugged me.I've been waiting for this day, finally I would be able to take a step forward in my dream career, apart from getting accepted I know there were lot to do, but one step at a time like vedika woukd always say."So when is it?" She asked me, her voice pitch gradually became low as her mood changed. She looked like she was missing me already, I didn't needed her go say anything I knew she wouldn't come with me even if heaven fell down to the earth."In a month." I said to her with my gaze set on her.She lowered her ey
Vedika used to be one I admired, one I couldn't go a day without praising. I looked up to her, but seeing her like this harboring many secrets that seem really dangerous make me wonder if I actually know her. If everything she ever told me was a lie.Watching her check her phone, from the way her countenance suddenly became worried I could tell she had read the message. She looked flustered, her brows was furrowed as she stared intensely at her phone. Her eyes travelled to the bed cover and back to her phone, she looked like she was making a calculation.I know right, the two messages from same sender seemed like it was from different persons, and with the expression on her face it was evident she thought same way as I did.But she gulped it down and took in a deep breath, placing her phone in her pocket in the jeans pants she wore. As she was about to turn around in an attempt to walk away, her eyes met mine and she let out a forced smile.
Vedika turned and looked at me with a beautiful smile on her face. She seem very happy with whomever she was conversing with. I walked to the refrigerator and grabbed a cold milk, set to heat it up, but the I heard her and was quite stricken with her next words-"It's my goddaughter, Amaya." She said to the person on the phone.I lost all consciousness, thinking about who she might be introducing me to, I then with absence of mind, poured the cold milk into a glass, and drank from it before realising it was cold."Yuck!" I muttered to myself but still drank the milk, fixing my eyes on Aunt Vedika."She will be coming to India next month, I do hope you can help me pick her up from the airport." She went on to say.I really wanted to ask her for a contact, hearing her speak to someone already made me really glad. But still, I was concerned with whom she was speaking with."Another thing Rohit, she is going to stat at the house, please."&
Rohit Sharma POVAunt Vedika was among the dearest people to me, closest to my heart I would say, seeing her call made me want to scream, but my mum hated the sound of her name, everything that had to do with her, my mum hated it. It was quite surprising to me, I know how close they used to be, but for some reasons unknown to me, they had become enemies, to the extent Aunt Vedika had to move away. Keeping me in the dark like a kid, I dared not ask my mum anymore questions concerning their feud, she wouldn't respond, and I would be wasting my time."Hey Rohit, happy birthday, it should be morning over there, Rai gave me a hint if the surprise party." Aunt Vedika screamed happily on the phone. She always looked forward to my birthday each year, not ones had she ever forgot about it, it made me happy and despite she was in New York with all the time difference, she manages to call when it's yet dawn. Her devotion made me even more happy, but when it comes to
Rai's POVDrugging Rohit wasn't quote part of the plan, but he just would have figured out we were planning a surprise party, so Kim thought we drug him, it wasn't my idea, though I kind of liked it.I've been with him almost all his birthdays, for as long as I could remember, we have been friends since I first knew my name. But the three years I was away, made me felt like we don't know each other. He seemed different, secretive, and definitely looked suspicious to me.I've stopped myself from thinking too much, as it wouldn't yield result, giving him time till he could tell me about his problems, was the only option I could think of.He cut the his birthday cake and bit a little from it, giving a whole chunk to his mother-Aunt Alia. A feeling of jealousy ran through my body, as I stood there watching them, wishing I was Rohit. In as much as people always called me the rich kid, it wasn't like that, my family lived in diffe
Rai's POVI quickly pushed Deepika away, but she almost fell to the ground in her face, in an instance, giving in to my stimuli, I caught her by her waist and swung her around. Her hair wiped my face, making my eyes shut in pain."I'm so sorry, Rai, I'm really sorry." She said in a squeaky voice.I touched my eyes, rubbing off the pain, with my lips opened gnashing my teeth. I felt her warm wet hands on mine, helping me to rub my eyes, but then I remembered Rekha was there, I quickly took few steps back.I opened my eyes, even though it was still quite painful, then I saw Rekha walking towards me in all her fury. She was glaring at Deepika, and Deepika was completely unaware of Rekha's presence.I couldn't think of possible ways to save Deepika from Rekha. Deepika's eyes was fixed at me, she moved closer to me, with the sad looks in her eyes, she felt so much guilt, I could see the pain in her eyes. As she raises her hand to try and tou
Rai indeed moved out of the country with Rekha, they were expecting their first child. Rai kept his promise and never contacted rohit again. They were strangers now, the only thing they had was just Rekha, who gave him daily updates about rai. He appreciated it so much, he tried to get rai to talk to him, but he just ignores. He didn't even congratulate him. Rohit and Amaya was now married after months. They watched Sonia's food channel and Rohit was happy about the fact that Amaya gave Sonia that competition ticket months ago which she won and set up her own food channel and Sonia was now a celebrity chef. Sonia called amaya to apologize for her actions and wished her well in the marriage, she promised to keep in touch. Rohit kept looking at his phone, he is meant to have received a call now. Rekha was due today and they haven't heard a peep from both rai and Rekha. The whole squad was separated, off doing something with their lives, he was still get
Amaya decided that it was time to go and See Sonia, Sonia had been avoiding her since, she didn't know the reason and she was going to have to find out then tell Sonia about her plans, she hoped she was going to be happy for her, she knew that Sonia Didn't look like she had feelings for Rohit, it won't be bad if she talked to her and told what she was planning on doing, Amaya visited Sonia at the cafe and told her she will get married to Rohit, she knew that it was going to cause strife between her and Sonia, she already noticed that Sonia has been avoiding her, she didn't know why that was happening and she almost confronted her but she had not gotten time to do that, she wanted Sonia in her corner, she had always wanted to do business with Sonia because of how she thought and how business oriented she was, Amaya needed that kind of drive in her life and she was going to bank on Sonia teaching her how to that, she was going to apologize if it was going to make her think about what
Rai and Rahul decided to pay rohit a visit in the hospital, they needed to go check on their friend and see how he was doing. Rai knew he needed to talk to rohit about this whole thing. He may not be able to forgive his best friend for betraying him the second time, but this time he understands that it wasnt his fault. His two close friends who has been there for him, but there was angry with him, they just want to show their support to their friend, because he has helped them too when they were down. The heart choses who it wants, his heart wanted amaya but Amayas didnt want him. She loved him, but she rather be with rohit instead. The words Sonia muttered to him came ringing in his memory. She told him that all his women preferred his best friend over him, and that was something that bothered him. He needed to talk to rohit, and find out if he was doing this because he took rehka from him, he needed to make sure that he wasnt doing this out of
Rohit could not believe his ears, he hoped to God that amaya was kidding. She told rai about them. "Did you tell him about us sleeping together?" He asked her, She shook her head, "that never came up" she said. "Rai is never going to forgive me, he never will" rohit said in a sober tone. He wished he had discussed with him before doing such thing, but he knew it wasn't her fault. It was Sonias fault for pushing her to say the truth, when she obviously wanted to keep things private. He could only imagine the look on rai's face when he heard that his fiancé was in love with his best friend, it was nothing but heartbreak. Rohit wanted to tell rai how sorry he was but he has not been given the opportunity to do so. He didn't have access to his phone, and he was sure that rai has not tried to reach him He knows how stubborn he is, he would rather keep silent than voice out his anger. He has always been the type. He couldn't t
Rohit heart was beating fast he realized he really loved Amaya and was glad she didn't leave him alone. His stupid pride would have cost him the love of a great woman, he honestly cannot remember pushing someone that refuses to go away. He had to give it to amaya, the woman was very stubborn like a rash. He just realized that he has been pushing her away physically, but emotionally, his stubborn heart brought her closer than ever. He honestly didn't know why he would be feeling this way about amaya, he didn't get his connection with rai's women. It was like he lived to torture his boyfriend. If rai finds out that this happened again, that would be the end of their friendship. His heart has decided for him, he wanted to be with amaya, with or without rai's permission. He felt guilty but he couldn't continue to withhold his happiness because of rai. He was sorry that this happened, but he couldn't resist any longer. He was going to have to talk to rai. She love
Amaya still felt like something was wrong, nobody was telling her anything. Sharma was being tight lipped about the doctor's news. She was still confused, all she could do was sit there and stare into space. What did the doctor mean by Rohit would end up like his mother? Did he mean depressed or dead? She was so confused. She looked towards Mr. Sharma, he was staring blankly at the wall. He hasn't uttered a word since she asked the question, she believed that he was so worried about his son. Mr. Sharma was devastated and couldn't believe he was going to lose his son. He lost his wife to the same sickness, and now he was going to lose Rohit. He wondered why they didn't know that the disease could be inherited. It seems Rohit got it from the mother, they would have checked him since and started the treatment a long time ago. He didn't want to blame himself again, it seems that everything happening was his fault. If he had told Rohit the truth about his
Amaya didn't know where to start, rai looked heartbroken. She ordered a cup of coffee for the both of them, it was the least she could do for hurting him. She led him to a different table, he sat down waiting for her to speak. "I am so sorry, rai. I didn't want to find out like this" she apologized. "Why not?" Rai questioned her. "You were sure about your feelings when you told Sonia" he concluded. "Only because she pushed me, I didn't want to tell her, till I have spoken to you about it" she said. He nodded, sipping his coffee. "Why didn't you tell me that you were in love with rohit?" He asked her. "Because I wasn't sure, but the night of the engagement party. It became clearer to me." She explained. "That's why you were not into the kiss" rai nodded. "I am sorry" she apologized. "It seems that rohit has won again" rai said offhandedly. "What? Why would you say that?" Amaya demanded. He
They all stood in shock as they witnessed what was happening in front of them. Vedika opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Not a sound. She couldn't believe rohit was throwing them out. She knew he felt hurt, but not to the extent of throwing them out on the streets. "Rohit, why are you doing this?" Vedika asked him, her lips trembling. "You must really be crazy if you have to ask me that" rohit answered harshly. "Rohit!" Sharma intervened, "what is wrong with you, your aunty made a mistake" he scolded rohit. Rohit took a threatening step forward, his eyes growing colder. "Mistake?" He asked his father. "A mistake?" He asked again, his father stepped back seeing the look in his eyes. "You call what she did a mistake? Funny. Of course you would call it a mistake, you were in on it. You were there!" Rohit shouted at his father. Sharma stood taking it, because he was guilty. Amaya and vedika stood one side with Samir watching
Vedika was shocked and speechless. Mr. Sharma tried to stop Rohit from humiliating Vedika more but Rohit was very upset. Vedika begged Rohit for forgiveness but he insulted her asking why she had an affair with her sister's husband. "Tell me, did you want me to hear you out when you have been lying to me all this time?" He asked again when she kept mute. "Stay out of this" Rohit warned his father. He can't keep interfering, he has accepted that his father wasn't a good man, but vedika's actions came as a shock to him. "Rohit, please calm down" vedika pleaded. His eyes grew cold, "dont, and dont tell me to calm down. You didn't calm down when you went ahead to sleep with your sister's husband" Rohit said, his voice loud at the last part. "I trusted you, aunty vedika. I know my dad is an animal, but I didn't expect you to betray your sister the way you did, she was on her deathbed when I called you to ask if you knew who the mistress was
