Rohit felt Rai's question was justified and still consumed with guilt he left without saying a word to Rai. (all the guilt is going on in his head, he wouldn't say a word) because he didn’t want Rai to be hurt more by the Mistakes he made, he wasn’t ready to be a source of the pain and anger Rai might feel if he found out the truth.
