Chapter Five: Hot Uncle
Samantha's POV
I smiled broadly as I bit my lower lips to stop myself from giggling. I can't believe I just made him agree. Well, that's me, Samantha, the girl who can get whatever I want. Diego is no exemption. That handsome, hot uncle.
I set our meeting today. I just wore my simple yet elegant dress to impress him even more. Well, little did I know that he's already impressed. He's just hiding it. He’s good at masking his true emotions.
Who would not? I could easily get what I wanted. I am waiting for him in this restaurant, and he is two minutes late now. I just hate it when people make me wait. But since it's him, I'll consider it.
I tapped the table while waiting for him patiently. He didn't want to meet us today, but of course, I pulled some strings. And he couldn’t say no. But damn, waiting makes me feel eternity. I frowned as I looked around.
“Where the hell is he?” I murmured to myself. I zipped my coffee while staring outside the restaurant. My phone buzzed, and when I checked it, I received a message from Zayn.
“I'll be there in a minute.” I guess I won’t wait any longer. A smile formed on my lips. We have a lot of things to discuss right now.
Three minutes had passed, and I saw him getting out of his expensive car. He even caught others' attention because of his attractive appearance. Some had their mouths half opened while staring at him.
I stood up to walk towards him with a smile on my face. I hate it when girls stare at him like that.
“Hi! You made me wait,” I pouted, then I turned to those girls looking at him with my furrowed eyebrows. I heard him sigh. I even intentionally placed my head on his shoulder to show them that Diego was already my property.
They rolled their eyes, but I didn't care. Droll whenever they want.
“What do you want us to talk about?” he asked while he was looking at me. I smiled at him sweetly.
“About the wedding,” I told him. I could see that he was confused.
“Since you agreed, I'll be introducing you to my parents. You must make them agree to the wedding, but don't worry, I'll help you.” I winked at him.
He rested his back on the chair while he was staring at me with deep thoughts. I wonder what he is thinking right now. He’s probably cursing me inside his head. I giggled at the thought.
“When?” He asked. He was impatient while looking at his watch. He just arrived, and it looks like he wants to leave already.
“Thank God, you already utter a word. I thought I would be the only one talking here until this meetup was done.” I rolled my eyes. Isn't it hard to deal with this Oldie?
“Listen, Zayn. I don't want to waste my precious time. Tomorrow in the evening, you’ll meet them. So, you still have time to prepare.” I saw his brow furrowed, but I didn’t stop talking. “And don't worry about my parents. They are easy to deal with.” Well, except my mon. I smiled at him. He only nodded. Though I'm nervous about my parents' reaction.
I know they will be shocked. But I must convince them first. I'm terrified about Mom's reaction. I know he will go mad later.
This guy's silence is making me a little bit irritated. He's not even asking about our situation. I wonder if he's bored or what. Did he have anything to say?
“Is that all? I still have a lot of things to do,” he and he didn't even touch the coffee I ordered him. It’s already cold. But he was a lot colder.
“I'm not done yet, Oldie.” I glared at him. He also glared at me because of the way I called him. He doesn't look old to me, but I just want to tease him.
“Here's the deal: this will be our setup. First, you'll have to marry me for six months. After that, you can divorce me all you want,” I told him, which made his forehead furrowed in confusion.
He was about to speak, but I widened my eyes to stop him, “You're not allowed to talk while I'm still talking,” I warned. He rolled his eyes.
“Whatever,” I heard him murmuring, but I didn't care.
“Second, we must act as lovers in public places. I want you to be as sweet as possible.” I told him and chuckled while thinking how he would do that.
“We must convince everyone that we are a couple. You have to date me, give me flowers, and shower me with sweet words.” I watched his face while suppressing my laughter. Damn, I wanted to laugh because of his reaction.
“Especially my parents. We must convince them. In that case, I will be living with you,” I said with a broad smile. Well, I've been waiting for this day to tell him.
“After the wedding,” he said but I shook my head. I want to live with him right now.
“Nope, after you get my mom's permission,” I told him. He leaned back on his chair while looking at me. He pressed his lips tightly.
“Fine, you can be my maid,” he said which made my eyes widened. He said what?
“What? With this face of mine? This kind of beauty is rare you know. You would make it as your maid?! That's ridiculous” I said in disbelief. He stood up to cover my mouth. That was loud I know. But his maid? I’d rather die.
“Lower your voice, Lady, we're in a public place,” he said, reminding me, but I don't care. I held his hand and removed it from my mouth.
“I don't even know how to cook. Why would I be your maid? I am your wife,” I told him which made him hold his forehead.
“Fine, I won't make you. Just lower your voice,” he said firmly. I even acted by zipping my mouth in front of him.
“Okay, okay. And lastly, you will act as my husband, and I will act as your wife. As simple as that,” I said, and he looked at me with no other choice.
“What do you think?” asked him. He seemed to be thinking about the deal.
“Fine, six months. I'll be at your house tomorrow evening.” He said which made me smile broadly.
“Great! I thought it would be hard to talk to you.” I extended my hand in front of him. I want to seal the deal. He stood up and grabbed my hand.
“Six months, woman. Only six months,” he clarified.
Epilogue Diego's POV I smiled while staring at my wife. She's really gorgeous. It's funny how I ended up with her—this silly girl who brought color to my life. The girl who is always irritating me, messing with me. I love her so much. I love her more than myself. I'm willing to give everything for her. I knew from the very beginning that she was just playing, the way she teased me, stared at me, and forced me to do things. How she tried to seduce me was just part of the contract. I remember how she forced me to marry her at the park. I thought she was just having fun that day, but I was wrong. She's the only woman who has ever done all those things to me. As the days passed, I started to fall for her silliness. I acted like I didn’t care, but the truth was, I was slowly falling for her. That day when we went abroad for our honeymoon, I enjoyed her company. She was so sweet and cheerful, full of energy in a way not many people are. I couldn't help but smile as she forced m
Finale Samantha's POV The sound of gunfire echoed through the old buildings. Everyone became alert. I started to feel nervous. "Get all the guns that we have!" Mr. Wedge shouted to his allies. Leo began distributing the guns to the others. "Watch her," Mr. Wedge said, glancing at me. Tiffany grabbed the gun that Mr. Wedge handed to her. She pointed it at me while the war outside the building raged on. "Please, just let me go," I pleaded with Tiffany, but she didn’t listen. "Shut up! This is all because of you!" she snapped, pointing the gun directly at me. I shook my head in denial. "Remove the leash from her hands and feet, Windy," Tiffany ordered. Windy immediately did as she was told. "Get that knife and point it at her neck!" she added, and Windy obeyed. I looked at Windy, and I could see she was just being forced to do it. "No, please, Windy. I'm begging you," I said, crying. "You want to beg? Then kneel!" Tiffany screamed at me. "Get the guns! The police are here!" I h
Chapter Two Hundred Four: Kidnapped Samantha's POV I breathe heavily, panic tightening around me. Something covers my head, making it hard to see or breathe. Fear grips me as I realize my hands and feet are tied to a chair. "Help!" I scream, struggling to move. A voice, familiar but chilling, responds. "She's awake." It's Leo. I know it's him. "Where am I? Let me go, Leo!" I shout, my voice cracking from fear. "Remove her blindfold," a monotone voice commands. My heart skips a beat. It’s Mr. Wedge. They pull off whatever was covering my head, and though my vision is blurry, I see Leo holding a gun, talking to Tiffany. I blink, trying to make sense of the situation. “The princess is awake,” Tiffany says as she walks toward me, gripping my chin. I glare at her, trying to mask my terror. I’m not just scared for myself but for the baby growing inside me. "Why am I here?" I ask, trying to stay calm. She laughs coldly, mocking me, and my gaze shifts to Mr. Wedge, who’s watc
Chapter Two Hundred Three: Stay Alert Samantha's POV We’re at Diego’s office, and I’m surprised to see my brother, Louis, here, along with his wife, Leilani, and their daughter, Anya. Mrs. Bianca is also here, and everyone is drinking and eating. Diego is sitting beside me, holding my hand. We’re celebrating my pregnancy, and I have no idea what made Diego invite everyone over so suddenly. “Congratulations to both of you,” Mrs. Bianca says, raising her glass. Ray and Elisha are also here, joining in the celebration. “Thank you,” I smile, feeling a bit overwhelmed. Anya is happily playing with the new toy Diego bought her. “Congratulations, sis, and to you too, Diego,” Louis says, giving me a tight hug. “I’m so happy for you,” Leilani adds, embracing me warmly, and then congratulates Diego as well. “Congrats, Sam,” Elisha says, hugging me before giggling. “Congratulations, Sam,” Ray joins in, and as he hugs me, I can’t help but sniff him, then glare at him playfully.
Chapter Two Hundred Two: Happiness Samantha's POV We were busy with our work at the library. Anna and Jane sat with me, but all I could focus on was eating. It seemed like that’s all my body wanted these days. "Sam, no offense, but you've been eating the same thing every day. We’ve noticed," Anna commented, making me pause mid-bite and glance at the food in my hand. She was right, but I couldn’t help it. "And you're not even gaining weight. That's the strange part," Jane added. "Do you think it's a problem? I just can’t stop," I said, leaning back in my chair. Technically, eating wasn’t allowed in the library, but I couldn’t resist. "I thought you hated those foods? Remember when we tried to get you to eat strawberries? You wouldn’t even touch them," Anna said. I remembered that. But people change. "Girl, stand up for a second," Jane said suddenly. I stood, confused. "Face the wall." I bit my bottom lip, feeling their eyes on me. "Damn," Jane muttered. I sat back
Chapter Two Hundred One: Pregnant Diego's POV Damn it! That old man is really pushing my buttons. Luckily, I got there on time, or else he would have hurt Samantha. I know he already has an idea of what we are up to. Even though he tried to hide it, I could see how furious he was. Samantha still hasn’t spoken to me since then. I regret shouting at her. I got carried away by my emotions. I hated the way Mr. Wedge looked at her, especially when his gaze shifted down to her belly. He seems to know something. Yes, Samantha is pregnant. That's why I don’t want to stress her out. I’ve been planning to tell her about what’s going on, but I hesitate when I see her acting differently. I know she’s pregnant, and I know she’s confused too. "But Mom and Dad never mentioned that to me! Damn that Wedge," Louis said. We’re in my office right now. He flew in as soon as he found out what was happening. He and his family are staying at Mr. and Mrs. Henderson’s house for the time being. H
