"Jake, what are you doing here?" Caroline gave Jake a confused look. "If you're looking for Uncle, he's out of town right now."

"I know that."

"Then, why are you here?"

"I came here on purpose because I know you must be lonely. I just wanted to comfort you." Jake walked over and sat on the sofa opposite Caroline.

Caroline sighed deeply. She felt bad every time she saw her ex-boyfriend. Because she always remembered the pain she received from being dumped by the man she loved.
