When Arielle opened her eyes, she was standing in front of a book shop.
"Where the hell am I? How did I reach here?" She frowned at the unknown surroundings.
"I was inside my room, I was writing the new chap and then I fell asleep." She tried to recollect, she noticed that she was still in her sweatpants and the jumper she wore last night. "Where the heck is this place? How did I even reach here?" She looked around her surroundings.
She turned around to see a portal inside which her room was visible.
"Wait that's my room... What the hell's going on?" Her eyes widened in shock.
"Whoa! What's that?" She heard a voice from behind, just then the portal started to close. "No, wait!" She tried to reach out but stumbled and fell. The portal disappeared right before her eyes.
"What was that?" She heard him again.
Looking up she found a guy blinking at the space. His eyes then fell on the ground finally noticing her, pair of hazel eyes locked with hers.
She lifted her hands in anticipation that the guy would help her up but instead he turned around and went back inside the book store, shutting the door behind him.
"How rude!" She shouted as she got up. "Mannerless guy!" She shouted, as she tried to open the door but it was locked from inside.
"Forget it, Elle, calm down, take a deep breath." She took a deep breath in and exhaled out. "You need to figure out first where you are." She walked down the unfamiliar road. "Where exactly is this place? How do I reach home?" She scratched her hair. "Argh!"
She then noticed people staring at her, giving her weird looks and whispering something. She shrugged, "What's with them?" She then stood by the side of the road waiting for the traffic lights to go green. As the lights went green, people started crossing the road, a car stopped in front of her, then saw her reflection in its window. "Oh my god!" She shouted. She looked horrible, bed hair, drool at the corner of her mouth, no wonder people were staring at her. She put her hands on the pocket and found the tissue, she wiped the drool off her face and hand combed her hair into a pony making herself look a little presentable.
Luckily she had her wallet with her, she grabbed a cab and took her way home. She couldn't believe it was just by the corner. "Why are things so unfamiliar?" She thought.
She entered her house and freshened up, after a hot bath she opened her closet to find her clothes, to her surprise, there were clothes she didn't remember buying. "Wow! When did I buy these?" She stared at the pretty clothes hung on her wardrobe.
Nevertheless, she changed into the clothes and searched for her phone but she couldn't find it. "where did it go?" After a few hours, she has turned her house into a mess but still, she couldn't find her damn phone. Her stomach growled asking for her attention, she rubbed her belly, "Ah I'm so hungry!" She made her way to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator only to find it empty.
"What the hell? Where did all the food from yesterday go?" she shouted in frustration. "Wait...That witch! She dared to touch my food!" She shouted cursing her best friend.
She went out to a nearby convenience store to get herself some food. At the counter, her card was rejected. "You must be kidding me!" She blinked.
"I'm sorry about this, but I'm a regular customer here. You must be new here? Can you please call the owner for me? She knows me." She smiled at the girl.
"I am the one who's always here but sorry I haven't seen you before." She shook her head.
"What?" She blinked a couple of times trying to digest what she heard, "still can you please call the owner? She lives upstairs?"
This is a single-storied building, there's nothing upstairs." The girl replied.
"What? How's that possible?" She tried to argue but the girl seized the food and set it aside and looked past her, greeting another customer. People eyed her suspiciously, "Damn! So embarrassing!" She hid her face as she ran out of the store.
"Seriously what's wrong with me? First I wake up outside a book store instead of my bed, next the alleys are all messed up, I don't know my neighborhood? I find clothes I've never bought! My cards don't work! The convenience store doesn't have a second floor! What the hell?!" She shouted pulling her hair. She didn't realize when she got on the main road when she became aware of her surroundings, a car screeched to halt only a centimeter away from her, her knees gave up as she fell on the ground, "What now? I'm gonna get killed?" She cried breaking down on the floor.
"I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" A hot guy appeared out of the car. He had worn a white shirt under his black suit, his black hair combed back, his blue eyes looked at her with concern.
She stared at him in awe.
He offered his hand, she dreamily handed hers.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"Hmm." She nodded.
"Are you sure? You're not hurt? Should we go to the hospital for a checkup?"
"No, no, I'm perfectly fine, I wasn't looking where I was going." She apologized coming to her senses.
"No, I wasn't looking and... I'm sorry to have you startled." He apologized. "Should I drop you somewhere?"
"No, it's alright. Nothing for you to be sorry about." She shook her head. "I'm feeling sorry for myself though." She muttered under her breath.
"Huh?" He raised his brows.
"I mean thanks for the concern, but I'm really fine." She smiled at him.
"That's good to hear." He smiled back, dimples forming on his cheeks. She swooned over again. She hit her head to bring her back to her senses.
After her near-death experience, she went back home, "Okay card! You're out!" She threw her card on the floor and began to search for her piggy bank, "I need some cash!"
Again that too was nowhere to be found, "The hell!"
As the night fell, tired and hungry Arielle retired to bed, though she doubted her hungry stomach will let her fall asleep, she still tried. "Go to sleep, Elle, so that this nightmare ends."

Next morning, she started afresh,
She was a part-time writer and full-time regular office staff. "Now let's go to work." She smiled at her reflection in the mirror.
As soon as she stepped outside, a warm morning greeted her. "Argh!" She frowned, "Where did all the snow go? Why is it so hot when it's supposed to be winter?" Just a day before it had been snowing, and today there wasn't a speck of snow, instead, it was like mid-summer. She went back inside and got changed into her summer outfit.
"Now, I'm set." She put up a smile on her face and headed to her destination.
When she reached her office building, the building was there but the name was different. " RC Pvt Ltd" "Huh?"
"Did we go bankrupt or what? Someone else bought it overnight?" She tilted her head in confusion.
Just as she was about to enter the office, a black shiny Mercedes stopped at the gate. All the staff made a queue at the sides of the gate. The driver got out and opened the door of the back seat, a dashing guy stepped out on his black suit and entered the building.
"Wait a minute, isn't this the accident guy?" She tilted her head. She wouldn't ever forget that perfect handsome face.
As he entered everyone greeted him with a simple bow. "Good morning, sir." She was dazed, it was like a scene out of a movie.
As soon as he entered the lift, everyone dispersed back to their work.
"Damn, Did you think he noticed me?" A girl in the reception asked another at her side.
"Hmm, no." The other girl replied curtly. "He's Reece Brown, the number one business tycoon, why would he bother to even look at you?"
"Reece Brown?" Arielle frowned, the name was very familiar and the conversation between those girls was too.
"Wait! Reece Brown?" She ran to the reception. "You mean THE REECE BROWN?!" She screamed.
"Yes?" the girl shrugged.
"Wait! No! I mean..." She shook her head in denial. She ran outside the gate and looked at the company logo, 'RC' "You must be kidding me!"
"Wait! No! I mean..." She shook her head in denial when she heard the weirdest thing. She ran outside the gate and looked at the company logo, 'RC' "You must be kidding me!"No, no, this ain't possible. It's just too absurd! How? Why? She paced back and forth. But... all the incidents ran through her mind, a locality she didn't recognize, clothes she didn't buy, her cards being rejected, the single-storied convenience store, encountering Reece Brown, her office had RC logo... O wait! This must be a dream, yes I must be dreaming, the last thing I remember, I was in my room and then I fell asleep, yes that's it, I am dreaming. She pinched herself to the point it hurt and she almost bled. "Why is it not working?" She panicked.&
"Oh my god! I can't believe it!!" She laughed and danced around happily."Oh good for you, Iva, or whatever your name is...please leave." He looked scared and he wanted her out, it was final, she was a weirdo and he didn't want to have anything to do with her."My name is not Iva... or maybe it is." She giggled. "Aaaaa!" She shouted excitedly.Sound of something grumbling interrupted her happy dance, it grumbled again, her stomach, "Ah! I'm so hungry!" She sighed
As expected her interviews didn't go well, "Why didn't I get the job? Because I'm going to get it at RC." She sighed. "And when will that be?"..."I don't know. Why can't you hire me sooner?" She complained looking at Reece's picture on her laptop. "Forget about hiring they haven't even announced the vacancy yet, Can't the story go a Lil' faster? Like when I open my eyes I've already gotten the job?" She rolled her eyes, she then looked at her wallet on the side, "I'm running out of money!" She hung her head."No, lift your spirit, Elle. At this rate you'll starve to death before starting your story with Reece, no, no, you can't let that happen. Let's look for a part-time for the time being." She patted her shoulder. "Let's go
Arielle was cleaning the floor humming to herself, "There," Her pricky boss pointed from his chair."Where?" She looked around if she missed a spot."At the corner." He pointed. She rolled her eyes, "I know, I'm getting there first let me finish this area?""You're slow, at this rate you won't be able to finish by the openi
"Why? She?What the hell?" Her eyes widened as she witnessed an unimaginable thing, "Wait! Why am I... Why're there two me?" She blinked. As far as she remembered, she didn't have a twin sister then who was the girl at her desk?"Am I hallucinating?" She rubbed her eyes to see again, just then someone tapped on her shoulder, she yelped. She then turned to see a girl trying to get her attention, "Are you okay?" The girl asked with concern, her Id card hung down her neck, displaying her name, 'Susanne Cruz'"I don't know," she shook her head, "Oh wait, do you see me there? Am I sitting there?" A
Arielle shut the door immediately when she spotted the girl who was a mirror image of hers, “What the hell?” Her brain tried to process the entire information, “She’s Iva? There’s a real Iva?” She panicked. She then heard the girl mutter, “Someone’s there,”“Let me check,” She heard the guy speak.“Wait, Joe, it’s dangerous, let’s call the police,” Iva suggested.
After few hours of drive, they reached the place, Reece got out walked to the other side and opened the door for her offering his hand, she held the offered hand and gently got out of the car minding her dress. "where?" She muttered as her eyes focused on the dazzling view of the hotel."Let's go," he gave her hand a gentle squeeze as they climbed the stairs. They moved further inside, entering a hall. Her breath hitched and she was suddenly very nervous as all eyes focused on them, remember when the female characters in the novels used to feel very uncomfortable and out of place at those high-class ball
"Got the reality check, Elle?" She sighed as she looked at the flat upstairs. She then made her way down the road carrying her heels in her hands, she walked barefoot, "Do I have to sleep on the streets now?" She sighed as she hung her head. After a few minutes of self discussion, she made her mind and then walked to the bookstore, "Who cares if he'd get angry? Who cares? this is the world I created, me Arielle, the damn author, everything in this world is basically mine, so is his bookstore." She nodded. "As long as I d
A month later,Eiden threw the file on the floor in frustration, "What are you doing, boss?" His secretary entered the room with another set of files, Eiden yelled in frustration, "Take that away from my eyes!""They're due tomorrow, so you need to have a look at them by today," His secretary argued."Argh!" He pulled his hair in frustration. "Should I just quit this all and just be a book store owner?" He asked his secretary with a serious look on his face."You don't have the luxury to play hooky," His secretary replied with a straight face."Look at this, we were supposed to go out on a date but I have this amount of work" He looked at the stacks of files on his table, "she flatly rejected me" He complained."I'm glad that she is a good influence on you," Jerry smiled at him."Excuse me?" Eiden narrowed his eyes at him."I mean I have a good idea, boss," His secretary cleared his thr
They cuddled against each other in the bed, she clung on to his shirt holding it tightly, "What?" he raised his brows at her, "I'm scared you'll disappear," She spoke in a sad voice. He then pulled her closer in a tight hug, placing a kiss on her hair he whispered, "Go to sleep, I'll be right here." He gently stroked her hair, enveloped by his warmth her eyes grew heavy, slowly her lids began to drop, with her eyes shut she slowly surrendered to herself to sleep. When her breath grew slow and regular, he smiled down at her caressing her face he tucked the strands of her hair behind her ear. Pressing his soft lips on her forehead he whispered, "Good night"The next morning, Elle stirred at the chirping of the birds, the cool breeze blew on her face, she smiled as she threw her arm over the other side of the bed, she frowned when her arm landed on a huge pillow, her eyes flew open and she sat up abruptly. She frantically ran her eyes around the room but couldn't fi
"What do we have in the schedule?" Eiden asked his secretary, slipping inside the back seat of his car."The book launch," Jerry answered him as he took the driver's seat."Let's go ahead with it, then preparations have been done?" Eiden asked, "Ms. Williams looked over everything," Jerry replied with a smile. "Our Irene did the arrangements?" Eiden raised his brows, "Hmm, let's go and have a look then," Eiden leaned back against the leather seat as they drove off. As soon as they entered the gate, Eiden kept aside his laptop and pulled his suit from the hanger, getting out of the car he downed the suit and climbed the stairs, he paused for a moment, "This looks familiar," he cocked his head to the side. "Boss?" His secretary looked at him with concern, Eiden shook his head and climbed up the rest of the stairs. But the more he went in the more he found it familiar, when he entered the hall, it hit him clear, he then turned around and asked his secretary, "what did you say the name
The portal disappeared along with his Elle, "She's gone..." he whispered into space, tears streamed down his eyes, "she's really gone..." He hung his head as he buried his face on his palms. He felt a sudden piercing pain in his heart, his face twisted in pain as he clutched his hand to his chest, suddenly he saw a sharp glare, his vision darkened as he dropped down on the floor, the honking of cars pierced his ears, he covered his ears, his head throbbed with pain as the noise in his ear worsened, with a sharp pain on his chest he lost his consciousness. The glare of the sun on his face made him stir from his slumber, the beeping of the machine rang in his ears, with his eyes slowly adjusting to the bright light, the white ceiling came into his view."Where?" He tried to get up but a sharp pain on the sides of his chest pushed him back into the bed. "Oww," He tried to move his hand but his hands refused to move, they felt so weak. "Are you awake?" A worried face came into his view,
Elle sat at her table and stared at the laptop, “A romance novel, eh?” She heaved a sigh shaking her head, “What the point it was all cliche, he ate my ears complaining how bad it was.” She pouted sulkily. She opened the laptop regardless and placed her fingers on the keyboard, she closed her eyes and took a deep sigh, “Fine, let’s give it a go,” She nodded determinedly. With the start of the novel, her fingers moved in a flow, the words went in a flow, she spent her day and night in front of the laptop, 3 weeks later, her book was done, she wiped her tears as she stared at her completed manuscript. “Whoa!” Tasha yelled from behind, “What the hell have you been doing?” She blinked at the condition of the room, there were stacks of cup noodles at the side, there were tissues scattered on the floor, her best friend looked like a zombie with the dark bags under her eyes.“I’m done,” Elle hit her head on the table. “What?” Tasha cocked her head to the side, “I'm done with my new book,”
A month later,"Wow! The book launch will be held here?" Tasha got out of the car and stared at the grand Ace hotel.
"No!" Arielle woke up screaming, she flinched as the lights burned her eyes, her eyes were swollen from the crying, her eyeballs hurt by the glare of the bright morning sunlight."What happened?" Her best friend opened the door perturbed. She looked at her best friend and began to sob, "again?" Her best friend closed the distance between them and pulled her into a hug. "Can't you tell me what's wrong?" She asked her rubbing her back as she sobbed in her arms. "I can't see you like this, you won't even tell me what's wrong?"The only answer she got was a whimper from her as she cried vigorously. It ha
Eiden carried her on his back as they went home, “Eiden…” She muttered, “hmm?” He groaned, she tightened her arms around him, “I don’t want to go back,” She muttered as tears streamed down on her cheeks. He carried her to their room and gently placed her on the bed, helping her to bed, he sat on the side and stared at her, he
The light turned on and everyone came out with the balloons on their hands, "Surprise!" They screamed.Arielle flinched clinging to Eiden's arm, she then slowly opened her eyes, "Guys?" She was surprised to see Reece, Ivana, Joe there, even Tom was there.
