Sophie.

I woke up with a spinning headache which was the outcome of thinking too hard the night before. I yawned forcing myself up as I caressed my forehead to soothe the pain. On catching the lovely sight of my child giggling and playing with his toys an unknown smile crept up my face as I carried him into my arms. All pain slowly fading away. I planted light kisses all over his face as he gurgled and cooed, kicking his legs.

"Ma lovely boy. Since when did you wake up... Huh?" I asked, tickling him. "Who's a good boy? You are my adorable good boy." I responded placing him back onto the bed.

"Just a second. Mama will be right back." I said knowing he was beginning to understand my spoken words unlike three months ago. I watched as he smiled, still sucking his thumb like his life depended on it.

I climbed off the bed and did myself a huge favour by searching for an aspirin bottle. I gladly helped myself with it, staring back at him.

"This should just about do it," I mumbled, p
