CALLUM

The Audi’s sleek, obsidian exterior gleamed under the afternoon sun as Asher clicked the key fob, unlocking the doors with a soft beep. I leaned casually against the car, watching as Liana stood rooted to the spot, her mouth slightly ajar.

“This is… yours?” she asked, her wide eyes darting between me, Asher, and the car like it was some sort of mythical creature.

Asher smirked, opening the driver’s side door. “One of ours,” he corrected, sliding into the seat effortlessly. “Get in.”

Liana hesitated, her fingers brushing over the glossy finish before glancing back at me. “You’re kidding, right? This thing looks like it belongs in a museum or something. What do you guys even do to afford this?”

I couldn’t help but chuckle, pulling open the passenger door for her. “We don’t work. We live,” I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm.

She blinked at me, her brow furrowing. “That’s not an answer.”

“It’s the only answer you’re getting,” I replied, motioning for her to get in. “Now move

CALLUMWe stood frozen in the aftermath of the hooded figure’s escape, the sound of our labored breaths filling the eerie silence that followed. Liana clung to my arm like her life depended on it, her trembling fingers digging into my skin. She wasn’t speaking, her wide eyes fixed on the spot where the faceless entity had vanished. I exchanged a glance with Asher, who was still crouched where the figure had been moments ago, his expression unreadable. “That thing…” Liana’s voice came out in a shaky whisper, pulling my attention back to her.“What did it say to you?” I asked, my voice steady despite the storm of emotions brewing inside me.She hesitated, her lips trembling as if the words themselves were dangerous. Finally, she whispered, “It said… ‘they’re coming for me.’ And that it was the only thing that could stop them.”The weight of her words hung in the air like a noose tightening around our necks. Asher stood, brushing his hands on his jeans and met my gaze with a grim nod.“

KADEThe car hummed softly beneath me, gliding over the winding roads toward the Silver Moon Pack. My head rested against the cool glass of the window as the passing scenery blurred into a tapestry of green and gray. I wasn’t paying attention to the view, though. My focus was on the iPad in my hand, the image displayed on its screen capturing all of my attention. Her face stared back at me, frozen in time. Dark, wary eyes framed by unkempt strands of hair. She looked nothing like Aurora, not at first glance. Aurora had been radiant, her presence impossible to miss in any crowd. The girl, though—she seemed as if she belonged in the shadows, unnoticed and unimportant. But the longer I stared, the more I saw it. The shape of her jawline, the arch of her brows… it was all there, hidden beneath the dirt and the worn fabric of her clothes.“Could it really be her?” My voice was low, almost inaudible, as I swiped a finger across the screen to zoom in on her face again. My eyes scanned every

LIANAThe house felt both suffocating and alluring at the same time. Ur had been hours—days maybe—since I was brought here, but every corner seemed drenched in power and mystery, like a labyrinth built to trap me. Now that I was clean, rested, and wearing clothes that didn’t reek of desperation, I could think clearer. Or so I thought.I looked at myself in the full-length mirror of the grand bedroom. The white blouse and fitted dark pants hugged my frame perfectly, unfamiliar and strange, yet they didn’t belong to me. I didn’t belong here. Yet every time I glanced around, every time I thought of leaving, there was one tether that kept pulling me back.Him.Reed.I tried not to think about him as I brushed my hair back, forcing my hands to stop trembling. But his face—his eyes—flashed in my mind like a warning or perhaps an invitation. His presence was like a storm; cold and controlled on the surface, but underneath… there was something dangerous. Something that made my pulse flutter i

MADDOX The grand hall felt like a tomb, cold and oppressive, its stone walls echoing with the hollow sound of my boots as I entered. The air smelled of damp earth and aged wood—a scent that clung to the halls of this castle as much as the legacy of my rule. Raiden trailed behind me, silent, his presence grating on my nerves like the sharp edge of a blade. I had done my best to ignore his existence for most of his life, but today, he was impossible to overlook. The moment Kade left, I had been simmering, my rage building to a slow, unstoppable boil. My son—the failure—had once again proven that he was unworthy of the blood in his veins.Raiden.The name tasted bitter even in my thoughts.I stopped abruptly, turning to face him. He stood a few feet away, his head bowed, a picture of cowardice. His very posture enraged me. “Do you have any idea what you’ve done?” My voice was low, sharp enough to cut.Raiden raised his head slightly, his blue eyes full of guilt and fear. “Father, I—”“

LIANA The heat of his hand on my wrist burned through my skin, sending jolts of electricity up my arm. My pulse betrayed me, hammering wildly beneath his thumb as if begging him to come closer. I Stared at him, unable to look away from his eyes, which had softened in a way I’d never seen before, their usual hardness replaced by something… vulnerable. My breath hitched, caught somewhere between his words and the space that was no longer a space between us. His face was so close, his warm breath brushing against my lips. My heart raced, each beat louder than the last, pounding so fiercely I thought it might break free from my chest. I didn’t move. I couldn’t. The air around us seemed to thicken, pulling us closer like an invisible force neither of us had the strength to fight. And then, with a slow inevitability, his hand slid from my wrist to my face, his thumb brushing my cheek. “Reed,” I whispered, my voice trembling with an emotion I couldn’t name. It was as if that one wo

REED The slam of the door echoed in my ears as I stormed down the hall, away from her, away from the fragile mess I’d just left behind. My pulse was hammering so loudly I could barely hear my own thoughts. But it wasn’t the sound of my boots against the stone floor, or the distant wind whistling through the castle’s towers, that haunted me.It was her. The way Liana had looked at me—broken, confused, shattered. I’d seen the tears well up in her eyes, had felt the tremble in her voice when she whispered my name. And then I’d walked away.I clenched my fists, nails digging into my palms as I tried to shove the image from my mind. It shouldn’t have bothered me. I’d done what needed to be done. I was an Alpha. She wasn’t my responsibility in that way. I’d been clear with her—cruel, maybe, but clear. So why did it feel like I’d just ripped out my own damn heart?I reached the end of the hall and leaned against the wall, letting my head fall back with a dull thud. The cool stone was groun

SERAPHINEThe room was silent except for the soft crackle of the fireplace. I sat by the flames, cradling my ribs, feeling the sharp sting of every shallow breath. My body ached, bruises blooming across my skin like cruel reminders of Maddox’s fury. My mind, however, hurt more than my flesh. The girl. The moment I saw her from the pictures, I couldn’t breathe. She was like a mirror to a past I had tried so hard to bury, and now, here she was—older, stronger, and yet, somehow, unmistakably… her.I sucked in a shaky breath and winced, the pain in my chest a brutal warning not to breathe too deeply. My hands trembled as I pressed the damp cloth against the gash on my arm. The firelight danced against the walls, casting shadows that seemed to mock me.Could it really be her? Couldn’t it be my daughter?I shook my head, trying to dispel the thought, but it clung to me like a stubborn thorn. It wasn’t a coincidence. It couldn’t be. MALCOLM POVLiana’s trembling form nestled against Reed’s chest, her face buried in the crook of his shoulder as he whispered soothing words into her ear. Her fragile sobs were muffled, but I could feel the ripple of unease in the room. The girl had been through hell—and she wasn’t the only one.I leaned against the fireplace, my arms crossed tightly as I watched Reed brush his lips over her hair, his movements gentle and protective. It was hard to tell who he was trying to comfort more—her or himself.“Someone needs to check outside,” Callum murmured, his voice low but edged with tension. He hovered near the window, his sharp gaze flicking between the shadows beyond the glass and the huddle of bodies in the room.“I’ll do it,” Asher volunteered, his tone firm. He moved swiftly toward the door, his hand brushing the hilt of the knife strapped to his belt. The quiet determination in his stride reminded me of our father—the unshakable resolve to act, no matter the danger.Callum stood t

LIANA’S POVI kept my gaze locked on the blanket covering my lap as the heat in my ankle contained a pulse—a dull reminder of my eerie fall. The room was filled with tension I couldn’t name. “Let me see,” Reed’s deep, velvety voice broke the silence. My head jerked up to find him approaching me, his tall, commanding frame moving with effortless grace. He crouched beside the bed, every inch of him exuding power and control. His dark, stormy eyes caught mine for a brief second, and I swore my heart tripped over itself.“Your ankle, Liana,” he repeated, softer this time, the corners of his lips curling into a teasing smirk.“Oh,” I mumbled, dragging my leg out from under the blanket. He reached out, his long fingers brushing against my skin as he cradled my ankle in his hand. The warmth of his touch sent an electric jolt straight up my leg and into places I didn’t even know could tingle. I stared at his face, transfixed. RAIDEN’S POVThe soft creak of the chair beneath me was the only sound in the room, save for the faint whistle of the wind outside. I stared at the fireplace, it’s flickering flames casting shadows that danced along the walls. My thoughts weren’t on the fire, though. They were on her.Liana.I didn’t know how long I’d been sitting here, but her face was burned into my mind, her name rolling over my tongue like a forbidden taste. I leaned back, shutting my eyes as her image took center stage once again—had striking beauty, her fiery glare, and that air of vulnerability she carried, even while trying to look strong.I shouldn’t be thinking this way. She was off-limits, and yet I couldn’t help myself. Every curve of her body, the feel of her ass on my hands when I carried her out of that gym class, every movement she made—it all tugged at a primal part of me, the part I couldn’t control. I exhaled sharply, dragging a hand through my hair. “Damn you, Raiden,” I muttered under my breath.

LILA’S POVThe weight of the blade felt heavier than I expected. It wasn’t just silver—it was power, chaos, and death molded into a weapon and sealed with the blood with the most powerful Alpha to have ever existed. And now, it rested in my trembling hands, hidden beneath the folds of my cloak as I slipped through the shadows of the Crescent Moon Company. My heart hammered in my chest, the sound drowning out the muffled chatter of employees as they passed me by, oblivious to the treachery unfolding right under their noses.I had done it. After years of planning, lying, and earning their trust, I had the Silver Blade. The very weapon I had been sent here for.Reed trusted me the most. That thought twisted something sharp in my chest. I had seen the admiration in his eyes when he spoke of my loyalty and dedication. “You’re more than just an assistant, Lila. You’re family,” he’d said once. Family. The word made my stomach churn.I wasn’t part of their family. I never had been.I still re

  • FORSAKEN BY FATE : EMBRACE BY WOLVES   Chapter 58: Feelings Amidst Challenges

REED’S POVThe living room felt heavier than usual. The dim light from the overhead chandelier did little to illuminate the tension in the air. Callum was pacing, his boots scuffing against the wooden floor, while Asher leaned against the wall, arms crossed, his ever-present frown deeper than usual. Malcolm sat stiffly in the armchair, his fingers tapping a restless rhythm on the armrest. I stood near the window, staring out into the darkness, trying to gather my thoughts as the weight of the missing silver blade pressed down on me.It was Callum who broke the silence, his voice sharp and clipped. “The blade is really gone.”I turned to face him, my brows furrowing. “We’re all aware of that, Callum. The real question is—who took it?”Malcolm shifted uncomfortably in his seat, his face pale. “Do we have any solid leads? Any idea who might’ve done this?”Asher, ever the skeptic, pushed off the wall. “I think it’s Maddox,” he said, his tone cold. “He’s been way too quiet lately. If he’s

  • FORSAKEN BY FATE : EMBRACE BY WOLVES   Chapter 57: The Night of Ashes

ORION’S POVThe silence of the night was deceptive—a calm before the chaos I was about to unleash. The Blood Moon Pack, nestled in the shadow of a thick forest, was oblivious to the danger creeping toward it. The moon was a mere sliver in the sky, offering little light as my men and I waited just beyond the treeline. I could hear the faint hum of their nightly routines: laughter from a few houses, the occasional bark of a restless dog, and the quiet rustle of leaves as the wind passed through.I crouched low, my dagger, glinting in the dim moonlight, and scanned the village ahead. Smoke curled from chimneys, blending into the starless sky. These people—soft, complacent—had no idea what awaited them. My orders were clear: infiltrate, destroy, and extract information about the girl. Liana Harper, as the pack members screamed her name out just by the picture I showed them. A name whispered among Kade’s circle, tied to something far greater than anyone in this pack could comprehend.“Move

  • FORSAKEN BY FATE : EMBRACE BY WOLVES   Chapter 56: Whirlwind of Confusion

REED’S POVThe drive home stretched on, each second dragging as my mind spiraled deeper into the chaos that had become my reality. The hum of the car engine was the only sound, blending with the faint whispers of Liana’s soft breathing. My grip on the steering wheel was vice-like, my knuckles whitening under the strain. It felt like if I let go, even for a second, everything would fall apart—both the car and my sanity.I risked another glance at her, curled up in the passenger seat. Her hair framed her face like a halo, the gentle rise and fall of her chest so steady, so calm, it was maddening. How could she sleep after what had happened? How could she find peace in a world that seemed hellbent on tearing her apart?I forced my gaze back to the road, the memory of her limping figure still fresh in my mind. Her ankle had been twisted, swollen beyond reason, and the pain in her eyes when she tried to take even a single step… It was unbearable. She hadn’t cried, though. Not once. That st

  • FORSAKEN BY FATE : EMBRACE BY WOLVES   Chapter 55: A Mother’s Distant Hope

SERAPHINE’S POV I sat in my office, my hands working methodically as I mixed herbal extracts into small vials. Healing was a task I had always found solace in—a task that demanded focus and helped quiet the noise in my head. Silver Crest Academy, with all its bustling chaos, gave me purpose. Today, however, the usual hum of my work felt disrupted, like the air itself was charged with something unusual. “Have you heard? Three identical triplets just arrived at the academy,” one of the younger healers murmured as she passed by my door. I rolled my eyes, brushing off the comment. Students and staff were always enamored with gossip, especially when it involved anything remotely dramatic. I had no time for distractions. There were too many responsibilities on my shoulders, and I couldn’t afford to indulge in idle talk.Still, when I saw Raiden walking briskly past my office moments later, my instincts sharpened. He wasn’t just walking—he was practically running, his face set with tensio

  • FORSAKEN BY FATE : EMBRACE BY WOLVES   Chapter 54: The Unleashed Alpha

LIANA’S POVI watched as the tension in the room continued to increase. Reed stood in the middle of the principal’s office like an alpha commanding his pack, his presence making everyone else seem small, fragile even. He was seething, his jaw clenched tight, his hands fisted at his sides as he loomed over the trembling principal. It was impossible to reconcile this version of Reed with the man who had avoided me yesterday, the same one who had refused to meet my eyes at breakfast this morning. But now… now he stood before me, ready to tear the world apart because someone had hurt me. The principal’s voice wavered as he tried to explain. “I-I had no idea such an incident would occur. I’ve already called the girls responsible. They’ll be here shortly to apologize.”“You called them to apologize?” Reed’s voice was low, dangerous, and laced with venom. “You think an apology fixes this?”The principal shrank back, his face pale as he stumbled over his words. “I-it’s procedure, Mr. Benne

  • FORSAKEN BY FATE : EMBRACE BY WOLVES   Chapter 53: The Blade and the Broken Heart

REED’S POVThe office reeked of tension and adrenaline. The moment that man stammered his way into the room, pale and trembling. I knew something was terribly wrong. But nothing, absolutely nothing, could have prepared me for what we found on the thirty-fifth floor. The room was in chaos—glass shards from display cases littered the floor, alarms blaring in the distance, and a faint, metallic scent of blood lingered in the air. My gut twisted as I scanned the destruction, my eyes locking on the empty pedestal in the centre of the room. The silver blade. It wasn’t just any blade—it was the blade. A weapon forged with the raw power of the moon’s forces, said to be capable of slaying any supernatural creature, no matter their strength. It could strip an alpha of their power with a single strike, severing bonds and destroying the essence of the wolf within. Its origin were shrouded in mystery, but one thing was clear: it was the most dangerous artifact in existence, and now it was gone.“
