CHAPTER SEVENTY-FIVE

She woke up with a strange feeling. Every part of her body was numb, her legs spread astride as if she had been racing in a horrible nightmare. Pulling them together, she felt a pang of pain in her loin and her lower parts. It was strange!

She stretched her hand groping for the bed switch thinking it was still at night because she was still weighed by sleep and felt a numbing weakness as if she had been battered. 

How odd! The switch wasn't there and neither was the bed.

 It was dark inside although there was a shaft of light that stole through the small window.
