It was in the middle of the night and everyone was supposedly dead asleep. Then suddenly, the door to Esther's room slung open. Simon drove the car amidst the tension, but he was careful not to make another mistake. The less traffic on the road was a big advantage to him and he was sure that if he and his company were lucky, they would reach their destination in a few minutes. Emilia had been listening to her husband's conversation with the doctor and noticedthat Miguel was upset. She came over and held his hand,"Excuse us, Dr." She said gesturing to him with a flash of a smile, "I would like to talk to my husband." Esther's head was heavy and her body frail, but that was not all; her mind was blank.
