Writer's POV

Lucas walked over with a smile. "Good morning, Emilio. How do you feel today?"

Emilio stretched a bit and smiled back. "I feel okay, just a little tired."

Lucas nodded. "That’s good to hear. We have a lot to think about today."

Emilio knew Lucas was right. The accident was still fresh in his mind. He couldn’t stop thinking about the black SUV and how strange it was that the driver was gone. It didn’t feel like an accident.

After breakfast, Emilio sat on the couch, holding his phone. He wanted to call the police again to see if they had found anything about the driver. Lucas sat next to him, holding his hand.

"Are you ready to call them?" Lucas asked softly.

Emilio nodded. "Yes, I need to know what happened."

He dialed the number and waited. After a few rings, a kind voice answered. "Hello, this is Officer Smith. How can I help you?"

Emilio took a deep breath. "Hi, this is Emilio Dalexs. I

Vikram's POV The meeting with Donald was supposed to be the big moment. I had been waiting for days, thinking about how we could finally get rid of Emilio. Every plan we came up with seemed like a good idea at first. But when we tried to make it happen, it always fell apart. It was like trying to build a sandcastle, but the waves kept washing it away. I was getting really frustrated. We had tried so many times to get rid of Emilio, but he just wouldn't go down. I was starting to feel desperate. I remember the first time we tried to ambush Emilio. We had been watching him for a while, so we knew his routine and where he would be. We chose a dark alley as the perfect spot to catch him. But it didn't work out that way. Emilio walked out of the alley without a scratch, while our men were left lying on the ground, hurt and bruised. That failure still hurts. It's like a burn that won't go away. Then we tried to poison Emilio. Donald said it would be impossible to detect, that it woul

Lucas's POV"I can feel it, my father is dead," I said, my voice shaking. Emilio looked at me like I had lost my mind. His eyes were wide, his face filled with confusion. He didn’t say anything at first, just stared at me like I was speaking a foreign language."Lucas, what are you talking about?" Emilio finally asked, stepping closer to me. "What do you mean your father is dead? You haven’t even spoken to him in weeks."I shook my head, my hands trembling. "I just know, Emilio. I can feel it. Something’s wrong. And Vikram..." I trailed off, my mind racing. "Vikram is hiding something from me. I’ve tried calling him, but he won’t answer. He’s avoiding me."Emilio frowned, crossing his arms over his chest. EMILIO'S POVI stared at my phone, the screen glowing in the dim light of my room. A text from Alex and Jake popped up ."Hey, Emilio. Follow us to Eternal tonight. Trust us, you won't regret it."My curiosity piqued, I hesitated for a moment. Eternal was the new club downtown, rumored to be exclusive and secretive. What were my friends getting themselves into?"It's not about regretting it. I have some projects to work on and—" I was trying to come up with an excuse but they were quick to notice it as another text came in while I was typing."No excuse would be accepted anyways." Alex and Jake were my closest friends. We'd been through thick and thin together. If they wanted me to follow them, I wouldn't question it.'Alright, guys. I'm in. Lead the way,' I typed back.Within minutes, they responded with the address."Come alone. There are a lot of girls and in your case, a lot of charming dudes." A shiver ran down my spine. A smile lingered on my face for a bit as I chuckled to

Emilio's POV The morning of the big meeting felt like a dream. I had worked so hard, and now the day was here. I woke up early because I was too excited to sleep. Lucas was in the kitchen making breakfast. The smell of coffee filled the air, and I felt thankful for him. Even though we had some fights lately, he was always there for me. "Good morning," I said, standing in the doorway. He turned and smiled. "Morning. Big day today." "Yeah," I said, feeling nervous. "Thanks for making breakfast." "Of course," he said, putting a plate of eggs and toast in front of me. "You need to eat to have energy." We ate quietly, and it felt nice. Lucas put his hand on my shoulder. "You’re going to do great, Emilio. Just be yourself." "Thank you," I said softly. "I couldn’t have done this without you." He smiled but looked a little worried. "Remember, we’re in this together." "Always," I promised and gave him a quick kiss. After breakfast, I got ready carefully. I picked clothes that were bo

Emilio's POV I woke up to the soft glow of my laptop screen. The room was quiet, and for a moment, I just sat there, trying to shake off the sleep. My thoughts were a jumble, as usual. Work, life, everything seemed to blur together these days. I reached over, grabbed my laptop, and opened it. Scrolling through emails had become a morning ritual. Most of the time, it was the same old stuff—newsletters, promotions, and the occasional client message. But today was different. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the subject line: "Collaboration Opportunity with 'Apex Creative Partners'."My hands trembled as I clicked on the email. Apex Creative Partners was the dream. I had applied to work with them two years ago, long before Lucas came into my life. They were the pinnacle of creativity, and now they were reaching out to me."Dear Emilio Dalexs,We've been following your work, and we're impressed with your unique style and creativity. We'd like to discuss a potential collaboration opport
