Emilio's POV

The ache in my chest never went away. Not since I found out what Vikram had done—what he’d taken from me.

My parents, the only people who had ever truly understood me, were gone because of him. Every time I thought about it, my hands curled into fists, and a storm brewed inside me.

I couldn’t let it go. I wouldn’t.

But it wasn’t just about revenge. It was about justice. Vikram had blood on his hands, and yet he walked around like he was some kind of hero.

He turned me into this monster I am today. He made me the ripper I am today.

I can say now, meeting Lucas was a curse to me. I miss my normal mundane life. It's a curse because I'll have to watch all my lives ones die.

And the funny part, I'm a daylight vampire.

People respected him, trusted him, but I knew the truth. He was a monster hiding behind a facade, and it was time someone showed the world who he really was.

That someone was me.

Writer's POV Lucas sat on the edge of his bed, staring at his phone. The call had come just a few minutes ago. It was from the Grand Orchid Hotel, a fancy place in the city. The voice on the other end was formal, almost cold. “You’ve been summoned, Mr. Dale. The Master requests your presence. There will be a meeting.”Lucas sighed and ran his fingers through his dark hair. His thoughts were tangled with one name: Emilio. Lately, Emilio was all he could think about. Emilio’s smile, his laugh, the way he made Lucas feel alive even when surrounded by darkness. The thought of leaving Emilio alone, even for a moment, made his chest tighten.“Should I go?” Lucas murmured to himself. He knew better than to ignore a summons from the Master. The Master was not someone who tolerated disobedience. But the timing felt wrong. Something about this meeting didn’t sit well with Lucas. After a long moment, Lucas stood up and grabbed his coat. “I’ll just see what

Writer's POV The night was calm, with the moon shining brightly in the sky. Emilio stood in the park near Lucas's home, his hands clenched into fists. Lucas had called him just a few minutes ago."Stay where you are. Don’t move. I’m coming," Lucas said. But Emilio couldn’t just stand there. Something felt wrong. The air felt heavy, and his gut told him trouble was near. Then he saw Vikram. Vikram stepped out from behind a tree, his sharp eyes fixed on Emilio. There was no need for introductions. They knew each other well, and neither had ever liked the other.“So, it’s you again,” Vikram said, his voice was cold. “The one Lucas is risking everything for.”Emilio didn’t back down. He stood tall, meeting Vikram’s glare. “I’m not going anywhere, Vikram. Lucas made his choice. You should respect it.”Vikram’s mouth curled into a bitter smile. “Respect? Do you even know what you’re talking about? You don’t belong here, Emilio. You’re out of your depth. Lucas deserves someone stronger. Som

Donald's POVThe night air was heavy and smelled of pine trees and damp soil. Somewhere in the distance, a wolf’s howl echoed through the forest, making the stillness feel alive. Each step I took was slow and deliberate, the crunch of dried leaves under my boots blending with the soft rustle of hidden animals retreating into the shadows. The moon hung low in the sky, its pale light casting long shadows across the path that led back to the estate. In my hands, I carried something far more than a surprise—it was the result of months of planning and a partnership I had never expected to forge.“Do you understand what we have to do?” I asked, my voice calm but firm. Each word was sharp, cutting through the quiet like a knife. My eyes flicked to Mackenzie, who walked beside me. Her face was troubled, her steps hesitant, as though the weight of my words dragged her down. She's Emilio's friend who got turned recently. They were a

Mackenzie's POV I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The room around me seemed to spin, and I struggled to stay grounded, my hands trembling as I clutched the old, leather-bound book that had brought me here. Laura was sitting across from me, her face pale and wide-eyed, trying to process the same shocking information I had just uncovered."Mackenzie... what do you mean, you're a carrier of Elyrian Blood?" Laura asked, her voice barely above a whisper.I ran a hand through my hair, trying to steady my breathing. "I know, it sounds insane. But it’s true. According to this book, the vampires have been searching for people like me for centuries. I—I never knew. I thought it was just a myth. But this... this is real."Laura leaned forward, her brow furrowing in confusion. "How did you even find out? Why would you be a target for them?"I swallowed hard, feeling the weight of the truth pressing down on me. "I found out by accident. I w

Lucas's POV The bed was still warm, the sheets tangled around us in a way that spoke of a night spent shedding inhibitions. The soft glow of the bedside lamp cast faint, flickering shadows on the walls, painting the room in hues of intimacy and vulnerability. Emilio lay beside me, his dark hair a disheveled mess that framed his sharp, angular features. His chest rose and fell in a steady rhythm, and his expression—even in sleep—was unreadable. I turned on my side to watch him, my thoughts a tangled mess. There was always something about Emilio, something beneath the surface, hidden behind those piercing eyes of his. And tonight, as I lay there, that feeling gnawed at me more than ever.I have been ignoring all these times but I couldn't hide it anymore.I know that the things happening are turning him to the monster he never wished to be.N“You’ve been making a lot of new friends lately,” I said, breaking the fragile silence. Emilio's POV The phone buzzed on the table, the sound slicing through the silence like a blade. My hand hovered over it, reluctant to pick it up. I already knew who it was. Vikram and Red didn’t exactly call for casual chats. With a sharp exhale, I grabbed the phone and pressed it to my ear.“Emilio,” Vikram’s smooth, calculated voice greeted me, sending a chill down my spine. “I’m glad you picked up. We’ve got a problem. Or rather, you do.”I clenched my jaw, gripping the phone tighter. “What do you want, Vikram?”There was a brief pause, then Red’s voice cut in, rough and mocking. “It’s not what we want, Emilio. It’s what you’re going to do for us. Unless, of course, you don’t care about that sweet girl, Mackenzie.”My heart stopped.“What did you do?” I growled, my voice low and dangerous. But I already knew the answer. Red lived for games like this, and Vikram was just the kind of bastard to let him play them.“Relax,” Vikram said, his tone far too casual. “She’s fine. For now. B

Lucas's POV When Emilio and I got to the warehouse, it felt strange right away. I held Emilio's hand. Not because I was scared but because I feared for his safety.I know he cares a lot about Mackenzie that's the reason why he came. The air was cold and smelled weird, like wet cement and dust. Everything around us was quiet—too quiet. There were no birds singing, no cars passing by, and no wind blowing. It was like the whole place was holding its breath, waiting for something. It made my skin crawl. More silent than a cemetery I must say.I looked over at Emilio. He was walking slowly, his eyes darting everywhere like he was trying to catch something moving in the shadows. “Do you feel that?” I asked him, my voice was low so it wouldn’t echo too much.He nodded, his face serious and a little pale. “Yeah,” he said. “It feels like something bad is about to happen. I think we’re walking into a trap.”Hearing him say that made my stomach twist. I already felt uneasy, but now I felt lik

All I can hear are the alarms telling us we’re about to blow up!” This whole thing is messed up.I looked head of me and caught if glimpse of Red, he was walking to the other end of the building. He ignored me and tilted his head, focusing. “No, there’s someone. EPILOGUE Lucas's POV Two years had passed. Two years since the war ended. Since the city had been rebuilt. Since humans and vampires had learned, slowly but surely, to coexist. And through it all, Emilio and I had remained together. Our love had endured battles, bloodshed, and fear. It had survived the weight of the past and the uncertainty of the future. We had chosen each other—again and again—until there was no doubt left. Today, under the soft glow of the evening sun, we would make that choice one more time. The ceremony was held in the heart of the city, in a grand, open courtyard surrounded by the people who had become our family. Humans and vampires alike sat together, watching as Emilio and I stood beneath a beautifully decorated arch, our hands entwined. Mariah and Xena sat in the front row, their smiles wide. Irene, despite everything, standing at the back with her arms crossed but an expression that was… softer than usual. Emilio’s old vampire allies were pres

FINALE Lucas's POV The phone rang again. I barely had time to process everything from before when another call came in. Emilio glanced at me, raising an eyebrow. We were still sitting on the couch, our bodies close, but the warmth from earlier had faded. Something about this call felt different. I answered. "Lucas." A deep voice responded. "Mr. Newcastle, this is John Carter. I’m with the government." That made me sit up straighter. Emilio noticed and watched me closely. "The government?" I repeated, my grip tightening on the phone. "Yes," John said. "I’m sure you know the city is in ruins. The battle left many without homes, and the people needed stability. We’ve been observing you and Emilio. You both fought to protect this place, and we need your help now to rebuild it." I felt Emilio stiffen beside me. I met his eyes, searching for his thoughts. This was unexpected. A human official—someone from the government—asking for help from vampires? That had never happened be

Lucas's POV "Thank you."The words caught me off guard. I turned to see an older woman standing before me, her clothes torn and dusty, her face smudged with dirt. But her eyes—those eyes—were kind. She held out her trembling hands, as if unsure whether she should touch me or not."You saved us," she repeated. "Thank you."I didn’t know how to respond. I had never expected gratitude. Fear, maybe. Hatred, perhaps. But not this. Not from these people. After all, Emilio and I were vampires, and not just any vampires. We had fought in a battle that had left the city in ruins. People had died. Lives had been destroyed. Yet here she was, looking at me like I had done something good.More people gathered around us. Slowly, they came out from the rubble, the broken buildings, the dark alleys. They were weary, their faces worn, but there was a soft relief in their eyes. Some carried the injured, others clutched their loved ones, whispering reassurances."We wouldn't have survived without you,"

Emilio's POV "I'm tired."The words slipped from my mouth before I even thought about them. My body ached, my head pounded, and my heart felt heavier than it ever had before. I was exhausted, more than I had ever been in my entire life. Everything hurt. My arms, my legs, my chest—even my thoughts felt slow and heavy, like they were sinking into thick mud.I looked around at what was left of the city.Lucas stood beside me, silent. His face was pale, his eyes staring ahead like he wasn’t really seeing anything. I knew how he felt. We had won, but at what cost? The city was in ruins. The people who had lived here, worked here, built their lives here—everything they had was gone. All because of Vikram.Vikram.The name made my chest tighten. He had caused so much pain, so much destruction. He had played with people’s lives like they were nothing, used them like tools, broken them when they were no longer useful. I hated him. I hated him for everything he had done. And now he was gone

  • FOREVER BOUND IN DARKNESS    CHAPTER HUNDRED AND TEN

Lucas's POV “It’s over.” Emilio’s voice cut through the heavy silence like a knife, sharp and unyielding. But I didn’t move. I couldn’t. My body felt like it was made of stone, every muscle locked in place, every breath shallow and forced. My heart pounded against my ribs, each beat a reminder of what I had just done. Vikram lay at my feet, his body still, unmoving. Blood seeped from the deep wound in his chest, spreading like ink across the cracked pavement. The firelight flickered in his open eyes, reflecting emptiness. He was no longer the man I had fought, no longer the threat I had feared. He was just a lifeless shell now. A body. A memory. A mistake I could never take back. I had done it. I had killed him. My hands still gripped the hilt of my sword, fingers curled so tightly that my knuckles had turned white. The weapon was buried deep in Vikram’s chest, its steel stained red. I couldn’t let go. The weight of it felt heavier than before, as if the blade itself carried

  • FOREVER BOUND IN DARKNESS    CHAPTER HUNDRED AND NINE

Emilio's POV The city burned. Smoke curled into the sky, thick and suffocating, choking the air with the scent of ash and blood. Flames licked at the buildings, casting long, jagged shadows against the ruined streets. The heat pressed against my skin, but it was nothing compared to the fire in my chest. Vikram stood ahead, his figure dark against the inferno, a cruel smirk tugging at his lips. His eyes, sharp and gleaming, locked onto me like a predator watching its prey. Emilio was beside me, his breath unsteady but his stance firm. His presence was the only thing keeping me from losing myself completely. My fingers curled into fists. My body ached, bruises and cuts stinging with every movement, but none of that mattered. Not now. Vikram tilted his head, amused. “Look at you,” he murmured, voice smooth like poison. “Still standing. Still fighting for something that was never yours to begin with.” Rage clawed up my throat, hot and unforgiving. My heart pounded. I wanted to lu

He muttered with frustration."We need to talk." I didn't even give him time.Lucas's voice was quiet, but the weight of his words made Emilio turn around immediately. They were in Lucas's room, a dimly lit space filled with the silence of unspoken thoughts. The air was heavy, thick with the tension Lucas had been carrying since Vikram’s betrayal. Emilio frowned, stepping closer."I know," Emilio whispered. "It's about Vikram, isn't it?"Lucas ran a hand through his hair, feeling the frustration and regret claw at his chest. "Yeah. It is." He let out a shaky breath. "I don't know what to do. I feel like... I feel like this is all my fault."Emilio's brows furrowed. "Lucas—""No, just—just let
