"Hey, sorry I'm late." Kimberly apologizes as she slides into the opposite side of the booth.

"It's fine. You look lovely," I compliment her with a smile.

She does look lovely in her short green dress that hugs her busts and then flares out softly at the waist. The gorgeous piece stops mid-thigh, showing off the delicate creaminess of her shapely legs.

She beams up at me. "Thank you. I was supposed to be on a date, but the jerk stood me up."

I cringe. "Oh? His loss. You look absolutely ravishing."

Her face pulls into a very big smile, stretching her cheeks from side to side. I feel my heart swell with a certain level of pride for putting that smile there. Kimberly, although she has a sweet soul, smiles the least amongst everyone else in the office.

"Thank you. I sometimes think a little bit differently about myself because these men have been rather flaky with me."

My forehead squeezes into a frown. "What do you mean?"

"I have a six years old son, and my dates usually go great
