Around nineteen hundred hours, her stomach danced painfully. There was nothing she could do about it. There was no food on the surface, and even if there was, it would be poisoned by the sun. It stared back, straight ahead of her now, sinking just below the clouds and into the horizon. Tall buildings of an old city appeared, taller than the ones in the previous city. Jack knocked on the clear glass from his hydro tube. He wondered how long they had kept him in. It had been six months out on the surface this time and he was sure there must be a lot of sun damage and radiation to cleanse out of his system.Ellie's face, magnified by the tube, suddenly popped into view. Jack sprinted out the door not waiting for him to finish. He had a growing pit in his stomach. If Jimmy had her...
