Valerie and I made our way downstairs and I saw the guy and lady that were with Val when we were captured again.

“Why on earth is she roaming round the pack house?” The guy asked.

“And why in the world isn’t she in a cell?” The other lady asked.

“Will you both calm down? Caden was the one who took her away from the cell. He will explain when he comes back” Valerie said.

“That doesn’t mean she gets to roam around the pack house where kids are” The lady said.

“And may I ask why?” I said and she glare at me.

“Because rogues are vicious and crazy mutts who ought to be killed” She said and I frowned.

“I haven’t done anything wrong” I said while Val leads me to the kitchen.

“You might have not done anything here but you certainly did something hence the reason why you got banished from your pack” She said while following us into the kitchen.

“Don’t mind their manners. That is Amelia and Keith. They are actually fun to be with but they detest rogues” Valerie said.

“Duly noted” I said and Amelia scoff.

What is her problem with me?.

“Can I meet the kids?” I asked but when she was about replying me a woman walk in.

“Good afternoon Luna” Valerie said.

Caden is mated to an old beautiful woman?

“And who might this be?” The woman asked.

“C-Ca-Caden’s ehmmm” Valerie starts to stutter as she try to find a proper way to address me while me on the other hand is trying hard not to laugh.

“I think I know what you are trying to say. She is his mate isn’t she?” The woman said and Valerie nodded.

“She is his mate?!” Amelia asked or perhaps yelled out.

“Well it is nice to meet you. Am Wendy Walters, Caden’s Mom” She said.

“Nice to meet you ma’am. Am Riley Sanders” I said and she smiled.

“Well I hope you don’t mind if I take you round the pack?” She asked.

“I don’t mind.” I said and she smile.

“If Caden asks, she is safe with me” She said to Val who in return nodded before we eventually take our leave.

“How did you and Caden meet?” She asked as we get out of the house.

Am I suppose to tell her that I was locked up and he came over and met me in a cell?……

“I didn’t know that I had trespass into the pack” I said and she seem to get the memo of the rest.

“My son and his friends can be quite impatient and provided their experience with rogues, I will say I understand why they did that but I would like to apologize on their behalf” She said.

“It is nothing ma’am, Other than the previous misunderstanding am enjoying my stay here” I said.

“That’s nice to hear”

“But I would like to ask you something”

“And what might that be?”

“I never knew a person can have a second mate, I am quite overwhelmed about it so I would love to hear your opinion about it” I said.

She is much older so she ought to have an idea about the situation at hand.

“Well, I have only met a second chance mates once, the lady had been abused and her first mate had rejected when he found out, luckily for her the Moon Goddess provided her with a second mate. It is very rare to see such cases but the bond between such mates is more intimate and special than normal mates” She explained and I sighed.

“I guess this means am stuck here” I said and she smiled.

“The pack isn’t a bad place, it is full of loving and harmonious people. Give both Caden and his people a chance and you will not regret it” She said and I replied with an okay.

“We better head in. Val said he is already making a fuss” She said referring to the mind link and I nodded.

“Mom, you can’t just take her out of the house” Caden said once we enter the house.

“And is she supposed to be confined here?” She said and he sighed.

“You better not make any mistakes or else you will be in a whole lot of trouble” She said before heading upstairs.

“I thought I told you to stay put” He said once she had left.

“And do I look like someone who is ready to follow your orders?” I said.

“I have……

“Can I please go see the kids before you start any of this nonsense” I said and cutting him off and he growled.

“Whose kids are those by the way?” He asked.

“Mine” I said while biting back a smile.

This will teach him not to annoy me.

“You better be joking” He said.

“Do I look like am joking? And might I remind you that you aren’t my first mate” I said and he growls even more loudly but I ignore him and went upstairs bumping into Valerie

“Why is Caden growling?” She asked.

“A punishment” I simply put and she chuckled.

“Where are the kids?” I asked.

“Third room by your left” She said and I thank her before making my way there.

I open the door to the directed room and meet them trying to calm Daniella down from crying.

“Riley, where have you been?”Reuben asked while hugging me.

“I had to talk with the Alpha here” I said while carrying Ella and trying to rock her to sleep.

“I have tried that but it isn’t working” Reuben said.

“Maybe she is hungry” Josh supplied.

“How about we go downstairs? I bet you both are hungry as well” I said and they both nodded.
