BAD DECISIONS

NICHOLAS'S POV

The quiet serenity accompanied by the torches lit and pinned to the bricked wall. I was on this two-way street with a stranger I met in the other world.

I leaned forward to gaze at the scar she was trying to show me. It looked ugly, but it was a scar to her beauty.

I smiled. "How did it happen?" I asked her.

The anger boiling in my head cooled off without me realising it. Her hand was still holding her robe, not to cover the scar.

"I think you'll bore me if you keep showing me this." I said with my eyes still on the scar.

She closed it immediately. "Sorry." She said,

"You haven't answered my question." I reminded her.

I broke all of her defenses. I'm sure she thought I had forgotten about that, but I didn't.

"It is about my county." She said,

I asked further questions about her county.

"What is wrong with it?" I asked her.

She sighed. "When I left the white witch —"

"Wahika," I told her.

"Yes, Wahika, the white witch. I was tired of staying in the room,
