She kept on thinking until her phone rang and on seeing the caller ID, she excitedly picked the call."Hey babe"she heard Rex's soothing voice and she smiled so in love. He was her boyfriend.
"Hey"she blushed. She could be really naive when it came to love.
"Klara said I should check up on you. But you sound okay. Is anything bothering you?"he asked and she sighed.
Klara and her big mouth. She never got tired of telling Rex about every little thing that bothered her.
"I'm fine"she pouted, replying briefly. She didn't want to disturb him anyway but it seemed Klara had already did.
"Do you want me to come over?"he asked worriedly"hmm. We can talk properly?"
"sure" she nodded like he could see her and then she ended the call and quickly got into her car. She zoomed off immediately cause she knew Rex would get to her house before her and she didn't want to keep him waiting for so long.
Once she got to her apartment she saw him at her door porche waiting patiently for her and she quickly got out of her car and ran to hug his tall figure
"I missed you" she muttered.
He pecked her hair that scented of her orange fragranced shampoo and he smirked"you always look cute"
"I am cute"she baited her lashes cutely at him and he laughed.
"We should get in before I freeze"he chuckled.
She felt guilty instantly "i'm sorry I made you wait"she said as she quickly got out her key and opened her apartment door.
"No, it's fine"Rex shrugged.
They cuddled on her comfy couch in her sitting room once they got in as Rex patted her red brown hair soothingly while they stared at the furnace that was litted and a brooding silence stretched in the atmosphere.
"Hey babe"Rex finally spoke. "You want to talk about it?"he asked.
She looked up at him with her almond shaped eyes that held sea blue lenses that twinkled, then baited her lashes and pouted.
"I don't know Rex"she sat up and relaxed on the couch."C'mon tell me. I am your boyfriend "he cooed.
"Okay. I was caught up in a traffic jam today. Then a strange guy suddenly landed on my bonnet."She shrugged"I don't know where he came from or how he got there but I took him into my car since he was badly injured so I could at least get him to the hospital. When I got down to take him out, I couldn't find him again. Not so sure if he used sorcery. But I'm sure he disappeared. Sorcery has been banned a long time ago in Washington. I hope I'm not going crazy Rex"she sighed.
"Definitely not sorcery and are you sure this happened?"he asked.
She looked at him angrilly"would I just make up jokes in such manner?"she said.
"I'm not sure what to say Zenia"
"Then you shouldn't have bothered asking me!"she stated angrilly and stood up.
"Babe...."He called carefully.
She turned her back against him and sighed"I'm tired. Please go!"she stated and then left him to her room.
He cussed and cautiously stood and followed her"Hey, I'm sorry" he muttered.
"You shouldn't be. I'm the crazy one here!"she mumbled and turned to him"but I know what I saw. This is no joke!"
"Can we forget about that now?"he itched the back of his neck diverting the discussion.
"Why?!"she cringed her brows trying to feign oblivion even when she knew what he was about doing.
"Close your eyes"he said and she obeyed immediately with a meek smile.
Soon, she felt his lips on hers and she melted in his touch and quickly reciprocated the kiss. A smile curved on her lips, she just wanted to enjoy the moment and not let strange thoughts becloud her thinking anymore.*****
Taynor sat on his bed as he folded his legs together and his hands spread open with his eyes closed in meditation. He felt connected, he felt strangely drawn to something he couldn't see clearly. Then suddenly his eyes tightened that he could no longer open them and beads of sweat formed on his forehead till, he found himself in a very strange place. Lots of dead bodies and dried bones surrounded the place that looked like an ancient battle field. Some bodies were burning on fire while some were freezing with ice. Suddenly, he felt someone run pass him with full speed."Hey, stop!"he ran after the person immediately not the least frightened but rather confused.
"You have come to the right place!"the person's baritone voice echoed and when he turned to face Taynor, he had the face of a freak, with two different bodies. Half of him was white and the other half was black and decayed.
"Who are you?!"Taynor asked "Why did you bring me here?"
"Follow me!"the freak instructed. "This land is where demons are birthed. Where we are formed!"he said as he walked further.
"We?"Taynor was muddled
"Yes. There had been a fight that cost the lives of demon warriors"the freak stopped then pointed to something afar from them "look! That will definitely happen to you"he said.
"What?!"Taynor's gaze landed on someone. The person had a white hair but it changed at intervals to black. Suddenly, the person screamed and something was tearing out of his body which he struggled to contain. A demon substance and an angel flesh colliding together. The person winced and cried in pain like someone burning in flames.
Taynor not wanting to see more, turned away from the scene and looked at the freak but it was already leaving."Where are you going to?"he asked.

"My work here is done!"simply replied the freak and the next second he was gone. When she awoke, she flickered her eyes open and slowly leaned up on the bed she laid. Her head ached and her body shivered from an uncomfortable presence. She looked ahead of her and she saw a man standing and smiling at her while holding a glass of water in his hand.
