You're the best gift ever

Later during the day, some minutes to evening time, Kenneth who was sitting at the reception saw that the doctor had arrived, he followed him into Tanya's ward.

The doctor had already examined her and said the spots and rashes will clear and which is true.

Another wound that was discovered on her thigh which she seems to have gotten through a fall was recovering well and she was going to be able to walk again very soon.

Kenneth watched from the side. Within the time that he went out to answer a call from the office.

When he came back, she had already completely finished the hangover soup. Not only that, she had even started a discussion with the doctor about how the room looked so good.

She was truly good at starting discussions.

Kenneth looked at the scar on her thigh and remembered the one on her ankle which she got through him and said to the doctor, “Can the scar on her thigh be removed?”

The doctor rushed to speak to him, respectfully and cautiously, “That depends on the individual’s body. Seeing as her body doesn’t usually have any scars, and with her skin tone, It’s possible that she will recover, but... with a scar this deep, it’s likely to leave a bit of a scar.”

While stitching up the wound, he had especially used a method of stitching that would not leave a scar. But now, the wound still looked jagged.

Kenneth did not want any scars to be left on her body. They will always remind him of that day.

As he looked at her wound, he frowned deeply. “I hope there won’t be a single scar on my wife’s body. Get your best doctor to come up with a solution.”

When the doctor heard this, his face paled and he quickly nodded repeatedly.

When Tanya saw the doctor leave, she lifted her head to ask him curiously, "Why are you so concerned about the scar on my body Ken?"

But Kenneth gazed at her deeply and said, “No. I hate to see scars on your body. If this hospital can’t do it, I’ll look for the best doctor on earth to give you the necessary treatment. I will definitely not leave you with a single scar.”

As she looked at his somber expression, she felt a slight warmth in her heart. But she can't help but wonder why he suddenly became interested in scars.

"Thank you" She said simply and smiled.

Kenneth hummed and sat on the chair beside her with heavy heart.

He did not want to see her get hurt especially because of him. Even this is not because of him, any wound will always make him feel it was because of him.

As he looked at Lin Che dressed in a striped hospital gown, he recalled her white, soft and flawless skin. He immediately felt uneasy realizing that it could become marred by such a large scar all because of him.

From the moment he was born, there had never been a single woman like her who had the audacious to move his heart.

But right now, as he gazed deeply at her, he thought to himself, "Tanya Lewiston, can I ever let you go?"

Kenneth shifted his gaze, lowered his head, and properly arranged the drugs that the doctor had given.

He then started to pour water for her to take the drugs.

That night, when it was about time, Tanya felt a little dizzy and was about to fall asleep.

She looked at Kenneth who was busy with his phone the whole time through her narrowed eyes and asked, “What are you going to do tonight? I'm sleepy"

Without looking up at her, he replied, “You don’t need to worry about me. I’ll just sit here and watch over you.”

Tanya sighed, "No, go home and sleep you can come back tommorow morning"

Kenneth didn't want to leave her alone. The thought that Ryan might come back or she might need anything in the middle of the night prevented him from leaving.

“No need. I’ll sit here and watch over you.” he said again.

Tanya whose head was feeling overly heavy and tired could only muster, "Why did you want to sacrifice your sleep for me?"

Kenneth stopped what he was doing and looked at her. He didn't answer, he pretended as if he didn't hear.

For the fact that there's I family member there with her give him more reason to want to stay.

"I say don't worry about me, Just go to sleep, I'll be fine"

Tanya sighed and glanced at the ma whose face is not bearing any emotions. Still she insisted, “It’s really not necessary for you to stay here... maybe you can go outside and find a place to sleep. Maybe an hotel?"

Kenneth rolled his eyes with frustration, "Tanya Please! You're the one injured here so let me take care of you. You can go to sleep don't you worry about me"

She pondered for a bit and patted her own bed. “Why don’t you just come up and sleep here? The bed is big enough too, sitting there can be tiring if you insist on not going home”

Kenneth's gaze flashed stealthily as he looked at the place that she had patted.

However, a slight feeling of secret delight flitted by in his heart.

As a matter of fact, he did not feel repulsed at all.

Kenneth's brow furrowed slightly. “Alright, alright. Then, we’ll do just that. Let’s rest early.”

When she saw that he had really agreed, Tanya quickly shifted to the side to give him space.

Kenneth tidied up for a bit before getting onto the bed.

They slept on opposite sides with a pillow between them. Kenneth could hear her little snoring, he can't help but smile to himself.

'You're the best gift life would ever offer me Tanya' He said to himself.
