The Press Conference

At his house, Kenneth Griffin paced up abs and down as he watched the CCTV footage that has just been forwarded to him by his subordinate. He had requested for the CCTV footage earlier and as he watched or, he couldn't see how the substance got into her drink just people dancing around.

"Who drugged her then?" He thought throughout the night until he fell asleep.

The next morning, Tanya sleep walked into the dinning room to take early morning water and prepare for her new job as she glanced at the news her stepfather was watching.

The newscaster began, "The renowned CEO of Immortal International firm of Springfield City, Kenneth Griffin was confirmed to be a male prostitute"

Tanya was shocked as Kenneth 's picture pooped up on the screen.

The news continued, "As the witness said, he had slept with a mysterious woman at a brothel in Fairfield and now set to employ the woman. Due to this news, the market price of the company has plummeted as all investors demanded an explanation"

She gulped hard as her stepfather focused on the news and with current progress, her name could be mentioned, she quickly switched off the TV.

Facing her stepfather's wrath without knowing that she was the news subject is better.

"You bastard, why did you turn the TV off?" He asked angrily.

"I... I am sorry" she muttered but didn't release the remote control.

The shareholders of Immortal international Firm troupes to the company headquarters with anger.

Kenneth paces up and down his office in frenzy. Everything doesn't seem right as his company's income Plummeted within a short period of time.

At the conference room, Kenneth sat in the middle as the old men sitting room demanded for an explanation about the news circulating about him.

He had been threatened with shares withdrawal if there's no explanation for his actions. Being in a tight spot, Kenneth Griffin was lost of words.

A man stood up angrily, "I can't waste my time here anymore if you're not going to say anything. I'm withdrawing all my shares from Immortal if there's no concrete explanation for this news!"

Despite being in a tight spot, Kenneth's expression betrayed his emotions as he looked calm and collected as if the current situation didn't bother him.

As he sat there lost amidst the chaos and clarity, an idea popped into his mind. Without thinking twice, Kenneth Griffin stood up while she shareholders kept quiet to hear what he has to say.

With a cold but serene voice he spoke, "Tanya Lewiston is my Wife! Should I explain to you how I sleep with my wife too?"

Everyone was speechless.

The shareholder that spoke earlier asked again, "how are we going to be sure that this is true? What's the prove that you're married? When is the wedding?"

Kenneth was once again in a tight spot. He stood there thinking for a while when the door opened. "We'll show you the prove that we're married once there's a prove that he's in a brothel"

Everyone turned to look at the Speaker.

Kenneth locked the door immediately Tanya entered the office. He grabbed her hand with action as she looked at him with questioning gaze, "How did you know what I'm up to?" He asked.

Tanya sighed as she sat down on the couch. "I also have my image to protect. That's why I came in"

Without much ado, Kenneth said in a commanding tone. "Then lets get married for real!"

"What!" Tanya was surprised as she shot him a glance. She wondered what has gotten into him all of a sudden to be saying this. She shrugged as she said, "Because I came in earlier to help you doesn't mean I should marry you, why should I do that?"

Kenneth walked majestically to his chair and sat down. He swirled in the chair for a moment, "For the benefit of both of us, the stakeholders will want to investigate of it's true or not that we're married" he proposed again.

Tanya hissed as she heard this. At this instant, she suddenly regret that she entered the conference room earlier. Damn Bianca Trump for bullying her she thought.

Still yet, she replied, "No I decline"

"What should I do about the shares then? Your so called public image, what will happen to it if need gets out that I really slept with you without knowing you before?" He asked again.

This stabbed Tanya, her mind flashed to how Bianca had accused her mother for infidelity because she remarried. Thinking back at how Frank choosed Bianca over her, and what Bianca would say if the news headlines is circulating in hers and Kenneth's name doesn't stop made her stood up and faced him evenly.

"Then you have to promise that I won't be affected in anyway if this goes the wrong way"

Kenneth smiled simply. A subordinate entered with a tab, Kenneth towed it towards her and said.

"Let's sign a contract"

"We have to make sure that news don't go out that this is a contract marriage. So we have to get a marriage certificate" He read from his own copy of the contract.

Tanya agreed. Even if she doesn't want, she had to consent for the sake of her public image.

"After the news is forgotten and the shares are no longer affected, we'll get a divorce" he bargained.

"I read that already"

That day, CEO Kenneth Griffin of Immortal International firm held a press conference and announced Tanya Lewiston as his wife.

After the press conference, Bianca Trump stood in front of the large TV at the reception with a shocked expression on her face.

This is not what she's expecting. She had told that mysterious man what she heard so that she could tarnish Tanya's image, who'll have thought that she'll marry Kenneth that soon.

Still standing there, she sighted Tanya going into the female restroom. As fast as light, she dashed after her.

Tanya sighed after reliving herself and stand by the mirror to adjust her dress when the door opened and Bianca came in.

She rolled her eyes as she saw her stepsister eyeing her maliciously. Tanya pretended as if she doesn't see her and made to Leave, but Bianca held the collar of her dress from the back.

As she touched her, Tanya swung back and faced Bianca with an extremely arroagant and bossy expression.

"Miss Trump, have you forgotten that I'm the CEO's wife?" She asked

Bianca stood in daze for a while. Her head swinging in pain as she heard this. She was sure that Frank would have heard the news too from the project department where he works.

She let go of Tanya's collar and asked, "Did you think you're high and mighty now?"

Tanya smirked and raised her hand to adjust Bianca's hair that was messy and said with an elegant tone, "Of course, I'm high and mighty so look after yourself and the illegitimate child that's inside of you"

This stabbed Bianca as she slapped Tanya's hand away and raised her hand to slap her. Tanya stood there smirked, waiting for what she'll do. Seeing this expression made Bianca shocked and she retreated her hand.

Bianca thought, She's now the wife of the CEO and could kick her out of the company at anytime if she mess up. To her Ultimate dismay, Tanya laughed.

"Keep it up Bianca, you look more beautiful when you're scared" still giggling, Tanya left the restroom.
