CHAPTER EIGHTY NINE

CATALINA

Looking around the dimly lit room, I try to figure out where I am but I soon realize that it is of no use. There’s no way that I will know that, not from in here at least. I need to find a way out of here and I need to do it quickly. The walls seem to be closing in all around me as I can feel the fear in me growing. My father; I don’t even know if I should be calling him that right now, stepped out of the room a minute ago to make a call. I wonder what his thought process is right now, why the fuck is he doing this to me?

The look he had on his face when he walked in earlier was one of disgust and utter disappointment. I had seen the latter before, in a way I had even gotten used to it over the years. He tried his best not to show it sometimes but I have always known that when he looks at me he has always wished that I was a boy instead, somebody that could effectively carry on his legacy. Over the years I had tried my best to be just that, the perfect dau
