~ARET~
Laying on the grass was my father in his wolf form, all bruised and battered, his hind limbs had been broken and most of his skin had been bitten off.
There was no way he could shift back, he was too injured. I placed my fingers on his furry chest.
No heartbeat.
I muffled a sob, burying my head on his wolf head crying as hands pulled me away from him.
“Aret! Let go of him, he's dead!” I turned to see Loraine and Laurel with teary eyes.
“No, No! Let me be! I want daddy back!” I cry out as Laurel pulls me into her arms, sobbing too.
After a while, we wipe our tears rising from the grass, “we can't stay here, the crescent hills tribe have already gotten to the Tribe squa-”
Loraine was cut short by a massive snarl, snapped our heads in the direction of the snarl to see a giant wolf with red eyes.
Only the Crescent Hills Tribe has red eyes.
“Run!” Laurel yelled as we ran into the forest, the wolf was hot on our trail as we ran further into the forest.
My sisters ran in the direction of the river while I kept running, my heart raced as I could hear the werewolf's snarl coming from a mile away.
I slowed down, only for the werewolf to catch up to me. I turned around, walking backward slowly as it took steps forward.
Likewise, I couldn't die like this, I haven't even found my mate.
Furthermore, I tripped, landing my butt on the cold grass. I felt a sharp pain from behind my head, it felt as if I was hit by something.
“Stop there, the Alpha said not to kill any female. They are of no threat, instead, we are to bring them to our tribe…” A voice which I assume belongs to the person who hit me on the head says to the wolf.
With blurred vision, I watch as the wolf shifts into a stark naked man, “Pick her up.”
I felt as if I was lifted off the ground and carried over someone's shoulder, my head upside down and my face inches away from the ground.
The grasses were the last thing I saw before I let the darkness envelop me.

“Load them into the trucks!”
My eyes fluttered open, closing shut immediately due to the brightness. I sat up, wincing in pain as my head still ached from the hit.
I stared at my surroundings, I was in a cage, a massive one with other she-wolves who I recognized as my fellow tribe members all whimpering as they cowered in fear, some crying.
“Move in, you mutt!” One of the werewolves yelled, pushing a she-wolf into the cage as she landed at my feet.
Her head was still on the floor and her blonde hair sprawled on the floor, mud sticking on the tips.
She groaned in pain raising her head as her gray eyes met mine, we both gasped, eyes brimming with tears.
“A-Aret,”
“Nova,”
She pulled me into her arms hugging me as tight as she could, After some minutes she let go harshly hitting my shoulder in anger.
“Where were you? I searched for you all over the tribe land, I thought you had-”
“My father is dead, Nova,” I said to her, sobbing into her chest while she drew small circles on my back.
“I didn't see my father nor brother nor any male, to be specific,” Nova muttered, staring at the bars that held the cage together.
“I only saw my sisters before we were pursued by a wolf, and we separated, I doubt they are in any of these trucks.”
“Yeah, the majority of the she-wolves ran deep into the forests, nowhere to be seen again. I heard the werewolf saying that the captured she-wolves are only thirty.” Nova explained as we both lay on the cold metal surface.
At least that's the best news I've heard in the past nine hours.
I close my eyes, imagining myself with my family again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The truck screeched to a halt, as the cage tilted to the side, making our heads hit the cold metal bars.I hiss in pain, my hand comes in contact with my forehead, and red liquid coats my finger, making me shudder.
Blood.
“Here,” Nova hands me a white cloth that I use to wipe the blood off my face.
“Move out!” A werewolf yelled as we scooted out of the cage, standing in a line while he chained our hands and legs together.
We were led through the Crescent hills tribe towards a dark, eerie forest. The huge bronze gates open wide, revealing a gray building, moss growing around it.
“Ahh!” I shook, startled by the screams that erupted from the building.
The chains rattled with every step we took, and so did the screams increase.
We walked deeper, passing every cell, some prisoners clung to the bar begging to be set free.
“Haha! They got you too!” A she-wolf who looked all battered and bruised yelled at us laughing maniacally.
“Move in!”
The chains were taken off our arms and feet, and we were pushed into the cell.
As the chains were taken off me, the guard pushed me in, making me hit my forehead on the rough wall.
Second time again.
“Watch it!” I yelled, hissing as blood rushed out of my forehead rolling onto my eyes and touching my lips.
The metallic taste made me cringe.
“Shut the fuck up, bitch!” He yelled back. Growling in anger, I charged toward him, elongating my fangs as I bit into his skin tearing it apart.
His fellow guards rushed towards us, kicking me to the ground and hitting my abdomen with their hard boots.
I manage to cover my face while they hit me, before they threw me back into the cell, Nova catching me swiftly.
I whimpered in pain as we watched them lock us in and walked away from the dungeon.
“I doubt your body will be able to heal fast enough,” Nova says while I scanned through the cell looking at the other females of my tribe, lying on the cold ground while some hid in the corners of the walls.
“You need energy, your wolf is weak, so you will have a slower and painful healing,” Nova says again, making me groan in anger.
“Captives of the Crescent hills pack.”
~•ARET•~ I walked through the forest, and the smell of burning trees filled my nostrils. I was a mile away from the tribe, smoke filling my lungs. Not only that, but I could hear screams and wails through the woods, I trembled running to the tribe. As I got to the tribe gates, a big wolf with red blazing eyes snarled at me. He was of the Crescent Hills Tribe, only they had red-eyed wolves. The wolf growled, running after me as I took on my heel and ran. I could hear his growls behind me as I ran. “Help!” I yelled, but no one could hear me, my voice was weak and little. I tumbled on a tree branch, making me land my butt on the cold grass, sustaining an injury. I hissed biting my lip drawing blood. The wolf had already caught up to me, taunting my every step as I tried to crawl backward, my fingers were intertwined with the grass, so I was stuck. “Help! Lorraine! Laurel! Help! Mom!” “Help?” I could hear the wolf's voice in my head. “No one's coming to save you.” “No,” I shook
~•ARET•~ “Nova! Shut up! You're drawing attention!” I yell as we kept running. It seems the she wolves were right. We were going to get captured again. Silver chains wrapped around our hands, tears brimming from my eyes due to the contact of silver on my skin. “Stupid bitches,” One of the guards said, leading us out of the castle. “Your mother is a bitch.” Retorted Nova, making him kick her behind the knees as she collapsed on the ground. I bent down, trying to help her up, but the guard kept pulling on the chains, I hissed at the force. “Stop!” A strong and demanding voice said from afar, I could feel the power that radiated from his voice. I can see a figure with some werewolves behind him approaching us, and I know he owns the voice. He was dressed in a red velvet cloak, his boots shined to perfection. My nose caught a whiff of a wonderful scent; When he comes closer, my hearts begins to race. His dark black hair slicked back as if hours were spent grooming it. I watch his
Chapter Six – Know your place~•MOBALI•~I growl in outrage, slamming him to the other side of the room, still tied to the chair, blood oozing out of his forehead.“You don't get to ask the questions, warden,” Kenan says to him, pulling his chair up and putting it in place.“Your Majesty, please,” he begged, it sounded like music to my ears.“So, what did you do to her?”“What?”“Explain it to me,” I demand.“I pushed her to the wall…”“Pushed her? With what?”“With m-my hands.” I stared at the tray of torture devices.“Which hand?”“Huh?”“Which hand was that?” I asked again, “m-my right hand”I hummed, picking up a silver axe and turning towards him.I slammed the axe into his wrists, cutting off his right hand in the process.“Ahh!!!” He screamed, squirming in anguish as the silver seeped into his open wound.I passed the axe to Kenan, who cleaned it with a cloth, placing the axe back in its position.“Your majesty please, if I had known she was your mate, I wouldn't have touched h
~•ARET•~“Know your place,” He says, leaving the room.I staggered, holding the bedpost to balance myself.All my fantasies and daydreaming washed down the drain, I imagined my mate to be a loving, caring yet protective wolf rather I am fated to a ruthless alpha who doesn't even want me.The brass doors creaked open, revealing a werewolf dressed in guard uniform.He looks confused as he closes the door, his shirt getting stuck in between.“I thought he said he was sending a maid.” The guard looks up at me, smiling nervously, pulling his shirt out of the doors.“Sorry, your highness, I'm not who you expected. Your personal bodyguard, your lady-in-waiting, and the maids are assembled in your quarters, waiting for your arrival.”“The Supreme Luna's Quarters is located at the west wing, while the supreme alpha's Quarters is located at the east wing.”My eyes widened in fear, I rubbed my palms against each other as he led me out of the supreme Alpha's chambers and out of his quarters.We a
~•ARET•~Dressed in maid clothes and pushing a trolley of food, was Hawaii and I walking through the dungeons with the trolley in between us.“Your majesty, I feel like my head will be cut off any moment.” Hawaii whimpered, making me place my hand on hers.“Stop!” We halted, the guards walking towards us.“What's in it?” One questioned, tapping his baton on the aluminum tray.“We have brought food for the prisoners,” I spoke up l, watching as the guard opened the food, picking a bagel.“You can go,” he says, unlocking the gates for us to pass through.I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, the air was cold and chilly. I wondered if nova got any warmth.“Hehehe!” A prisoner laughed as we passed by her cell.“They got you too, huh?” Another whispered, Hawaii, clinging unto me in fear.“Guess what?”What?“They got me too.” She cackled, Hawaii, looking like she wanted to be anywhere but certainly not here.As we walked further, we got to a cell that seemed isolated from others.
~•NOVA•~“Thi-This is spectacular,” I say in awe as Dwayne led me into the Supreme Beta Quarters.“If you think this is amazing, wait until you see my chambers,”We walked into the huge bronze doors that were wide open.“This is so beautiful,” I gushed out in amazement, starting at the chambers. “No, you are.” He whispers into my ear, making a blush form on my cheeks.“Oh, please.” I rolled my eyes, hitting his chest, and he chuckled, making his chest vibrate.I cleaned up earlier and was dressed in a blue dress, and I looked just about like a princess.Or as my mate said; 'Dwayne's princess'“There's a sitting area on the balcony, want to go see?” He asked, and I nodded quickly, placing my hand in his as he directed me to the balcony.“Magnificent,” I say, stunned at the view from up here.“Let's sit.” He urges, pulling me down with his arm holding me in place.“Thank you for finding me,” I mutter without raising my head.“It's an honor and besides, I want a bigger thank you.” He sa
~•ARET•~I brought my knees up to my chest, sobbing while Hawaii tried consoling me.“I always knew I was cursed from birth!” I sniffled while taking the strawberry caramel ice cream that Hawaii had brought for me.“I hope this cools your mood, get it? Cools.” Hawaii says pun-intended.I glare at her as she gulps, sitting next to me.“It's okay, Luna.”“It's not okay! I'm so cursed, I got a scary and heartless alpha who doesn't love me as my mate.”I remembered the way Supreme Alpha Mobali had glared at me, giving me that look.The hatred in his eyes made me cringe in fear. He didn't want me, no one did.I walk towards my balcony, resting on the railings as I tried jumping down.“Luna!” Hawaii screamed, making Lincoln burst into the room, rushing to help me get down. "Let me go! Why don't I get to be loved?' I sobbed, yanking my arms away from their reach.“ I never asked for any of this,” I say, crawling up to my fluffy bed and rubbing my eyes as I plopped onto the soft bed.I coul
~•ARET•~The garden was wide and rich in flowers and trees.Birds chirped and I could feel a different surge of energy as I stepped further into the garden.There were three sets of tables with chairs on each side. Nova was seated in the middle, staring at the greenhouse in amusement.She turned in my direction and called me over. “Aret! Come on!” Seeing her so happy, I didn't know when I just burst into tears, my legs giving up on me.“Aret!” Nova rushed towards me, holding me up and placing me on a nearby bench. “What's wrong?” She asked, her eyebrows furrowing in worry.I stared at her, she was glowing. Her hair looked rich, and her eyes shone brighter.My eyes trailed down to her neck and I could see the initials DC with a little crown branded on her.“You got marked.” I breathed as I could see her face morphing into a pink ball.My smile faltered a bit, she had only been here for a week, and she was already marked, unlike me.But then, after what I found out, I would rather not
~. THREE YEARS LATER.~The grand celebration of the twin pups' third birthday filled the palace with joy and laughter. The twins stood together, side by side, staring at the birthday cake in front of them, adorned with three flickering candles.As the room echoed with cheerful voices wishing them a happy birthday, Mobali stepped up to a podium, his proud gaze fixed on the twins. "It's been three years since the great battle," he began, his voice strong and full of pride. "It's been three years since Queen Kaerlia, my mate, brought these two amazing pups into the world. I am proud to be their father. A toast to the prince and princess!"With a raise of his glass, everyone in the room followed suit, their glasses clinking together in a heartfelt toast. "A toast!" they chorused, and the celebration continued in earnest.The twins, Alarik and Alora, looked at each other and then shared a grin. Alarik Xevekiah King, with his pure white hair and ocean blue eyes, was the firstborn. He was kno
~.KAERLIA .~I kept breathing into the paper bag as I could feel my insides churning. I was already nauseous and the day hadn't even begun.“I need another paper bag,” I mutter to Diana who ignores me and keeps massaging my shoulders. “Just take deep breaths, and calm down.” It was easier said than done.“The outfit is here!” I gasped, standing up from my seat as Laurel walked in with my dress in her hand. I smiled as I walked into the closet and Velia and Diana helped me put it on.The base of the gown was a rich, deep shade of royal blue, akin to the vast, starry night sky. It shimmered with a subtle luminescence as if tiny stars were embedded within the fabric itself. The gown was designed to flow gracefully around my figure, accentuating my natural elegance and poise. The bodice was adorned with intricate embroidery, resembling delicate lacework that mirrored the intricate patterns of frost on a winter morning. It sparkled with tiny crystal beads that caught the light, creating
~. .~With her new wings and reinvigorated determination, Kaerlia swiftly materialized to Crescent Hills. Hovering over Mobali's lifeless body, she channeled her newfound power and the grace of the Moon Goddess to bring him back from the brink of death."Kaerlia," Mobali whispered as life coursed back into him, his eyes filled with a mix of relief and devotion.With a warm smile, Kaerlia brushed her fingers across his cheek. "I need you and the guys to help me out."Mobali nodded, realizing the gravity of the situation. With renewed strength and resolve, Kaerlia soared toward Liliana, who was standing on top of a cliff staring boredly at the destruction she created. She confronted the demon queen, her fiery sword blazing with determination."Liliana!" Kaerlia's voice rang out through the chaos, echoing across the battlefield. Liliana turned to face her, a wicked smile on her lips."Ahh, little freak, you're still alive, and you got new wings," Liliana taunted, her
~. .~“Kaerlia.”“Kaerlia.”“Wake up.”As Kaerlia's eyes fluttered open, she found herself in a serene, otherworldly place. White flowers adorned the landscape, and ethereal trees stood with creatures soaring among them. The moon hung large and close in the sky, casting a gentle glow over everything. Kaerlia felt an overwhelming sense of peace, and her body was no longer stained with blood. She was dressed in a beautiful white gown adorned with delicate lace, her white hair flowing freely around her.A soft, familiar voice called her name, and she turned to find the source. Her eyes locked onto another pair of eyes, eyes she thought she would never see again."Mom?" Kaerlia asked with tears in her eyes, her voice quivering with emotion as she ran to embrace Khione, her mother."Oh, my baby, stop crying. You've been crying a lot lately," Khione comforted her, patting Kaerlia's back as she held her close."Mom, but I thought you were dead," Kaerlia said, her voice filled with
~. .~In the dark and eerie throne room of Liliana, the wails of tormented souls echoed ominously, creating an unsettling atmosphere. Mobali and the others, including Aidan, materialized in this sinister place, surrounded by the malevolent presence of demons.Liliana, seated upon her throne of skulls, greeted them with a chilling smile. Mobali's eyes blazed with anger as he looked at Aidan, who stood beside Liliana, his head bowed in submission.“Aidan, you side with her?”"He has no choice, Mobali," Liliana taunted, her voice dripping with wicked satisfaction.Mobali's gaze turned back to Liliana. "I wasn't talking to you, demon," he spat, his voice laced with a mix of rage and frustration. Liliana, being a demon herself, remained unfazed by his alpha authority, which would have affected a werewolf.As Mobali frantically scanned the room for Kaerlia, Liliana harnessed her dark powers. The ground rumbled, and Kaerlia emerged from a fissure in the floor. She was bound in si
~. MOBALI.~As I wake up, the bright light from the window hits my eyes. I run my hand through Kaerlia's side of the bed, but it's cold. I jolt, sniffing the room. Her scent has faded, which means she has been gone for hours, possibly days.How long have I been asleep?I look at the bedside table, and there lies a piece of paper. I pick it up and read its contents, "Dear Mobali, by the time you're reading this letter, it could have been days since I left for hell. I'm sorry, but I can't sit back and watch the werewolf race crumble. Please don't come after me, and I love you." I grip hard onto the piece of paper.Rising from the bed, I took a quick shower and dressed in my armor. Anger and determination coursed through my veins. I had to find her, I had to bring her back. How could she? How couldn't she see through Liliana’s plots? My heart clenched at the thought of her being dead already. "Guards! Open this door!" I roared, pounding on the unyielding brass doors. But the guards on th
~. .~Kaerlia managed to sneak out of the palace without anyone spotting her. The demons she encountered outside didn't attack her, rather they guided her to the path of the portal.Screeches echoed as she walked down the path, the horrid sounds of the demons and the undead ringing. The portal to Hell stood as a formidable, eerie gateway, a tear in the fabric of reality itself. It exuded an ominous and foreboding aura as if it were a maw to a world of unimaginable darkness and torment.The portal's frame was jagged and uneven, like fractured obsidian, emitting a faint, malevolent crimson glow. Within the opening, darkness extended infinitely, and an eerie, suffocating heat radiated from the abyss beyond. Distorted, ghostly silhouettes writhed and shifted within the portal, casting unsettling shadows and contributing to its sinister ambiance.As Kaerlia stood before the portal, it pulsed with otherworldly energy, beckoning her to enter. The air around it seemed to warp and
~. .~Liliana's sinister smile widened as Kaerlia rushed to attack her. But before Kaerlia could reach her, Liliana swiftly wielded her dark powers. With a wave of her hand, she conjured silver chains laced with potent wolfsbane, which wrapped around Kaerlia's legs. The moment the silver touched her skin, Kaerlia whimpered in excruciating pain, her limbs growing weak."You forget you're half-werewolf, and silver is one of your weaknesses," Liliana taunted, her voice dripping with cruelty. Kaerlia could barely manage to speak or cry out as she tumbled to the ground, completely immobilized and suffering from the agony of the silver and wolfsbane.Even though she wasn't fully a werewolf, she couldn't help but be immobilized by the silver.“What do you want? Why are you doing this? The whole werewolf race is in chaos because of you.”In response to Kaerlia's pleading questions, Liliana remained callous. "I'm making it feel like home. Why am I doing this? Because of you, you a
~. .~The scene in the grand hall was one of chaos and shock. The Supreme wolves, who had gathered to celebrate the coronation, stood in stunned disbelief as they witnessed the sky turn bloody and portals to hell open, unleashing an army of demons. The once-resplendent event had devolved into a nightmarish spectacle.Mobali, his eyes wide with disbelief, finally found his voice. "Farah, what have you done?" he demanded, his voice a mixture of anger, horror, and disbelief. He couldn't comprehend the scale of devastation unfolding before him.Farah, or rather, the entity that had possessed her body, groaned angrily. Her true nature was now revealed, she raised the scepter high, releasing an eerie transformation. Her raven-dark hair cascaded down, and her eyes turned a haunting shade of crimson. Her red warrior dress symbolized her newfound identity, and she let out a malevolent cackle that sent shivers down the spines of those present."I am tired of hearing that wimpy name!" she declare
