Chapter Hundred and Three - Ocean eyes

HUNDRED AND THREE

As I walked towards my chambers, my feet felt heavy and my shoulders drooped with exhaustion.

“Welcome, Countess,” The guards stationed outside my quarters greeted me with a smile. Despite my weariness, I returned their greeting with a weak smile.

“My Lady!” I sat on a couch in the lounge room, taking off my shoes and I turned to see Hawaii and Venus together staring at me in anticipation. I was too exhausted to play their midnight games.

“We wanted your permission to shift to our wolves and have a sleepover in the garden.” A pang of hurt filled my chest, a reminder that I didn't truly belong here. I didn't have a wolf nor could I shift or do most things werewolves could do.

I sighed nodding my head, “Yes, whatever.” I shooed them and they squealed in happiness running off.

Holding my heels in my hand, I walked down the hallway and pushed the door to my chambers open, snapping my fingers and the light came up.
