When Kayson and Michael returned to the hotel, they saw Noella sitting on the couch.

“Why aren’t you in school yet?” asked Michael.

Noella blinked. “There’s no class today!”

Michael was her father, though. One glance was all it took for him to know that his daughter had skipped class. Helpless, he said nothing about it since he had not needed to worry too much about Noella’s grades all this while.
