"Good…morning, I…" Hadley stammered after bumping into Maurice at the staircase the next morning and she was too ashamed to face the man after what transpired between them the other night.

Hadley was guilty and she would not sleep a wink with her troubled heart but she knew it was for the greater cause the man was not going to be too hurt if he finds out she betrayed him if they both keep their distance from each other.

"Are you okay?" Hadley heard Maurice ask and she was surprised. She thought the man was going to ignore her.

Hadley nods her head slowly because her words have failed her and she could not make a sentence right. "It's good that you are fine," Maurice said walking down the stairs and Hadley raised her head to look at the finely dressed man in a navy blue suit that fitted him perfectly.

God, what is she going to do with him?

Hadley knew she could not be leaving in fear forever so she decided to settle the scores with Nicholas that morning ditching her work.

Hubby, did you know this old woman?” Hadley asked Maurice, who was still stiffly sitting down.“Don't call me an old woman. I am sure Maurice would disagree with that,” the woman said in a sultry voice and Hadley got offended, wondering why the woman kept talking like she was acquainted with Maurice.“I do not know who you are, but I am going to say this, leave this place now before I drag you out,” Hadley threatened, but the woman just snickers, waving her off.“Looks like you have a fierce wife here, you must have gotten lucky with her…..since I heard you cannot withstand the touch of a woman,” the woman said in a low voice and Hadley noticed that Maurice's expression was off.Ever since the woman stepped into the restaurant he had not said anything and now when the woman was tor

She could already picture the scenario, but she knew she could not possibly ask him to stop talking when she was the one who asked him to tell her everything, but it was more than what she bargained for. “My uncle got me kidnapped to get my grandfather to hand over the group to him….isn't that funny?” Maurice joked, but Hadley could sense the pain in his voice. The room felt gloomy with Maurice's pause and Hadley knew what was to come might not be what she could handle, so she decided to cut her off.“I think we
