Jackson's hands reached out to steady Ava, his touch gentle, but Ava's reaction was instantaneous. She flung his hands away, her eyes flashing with anger, her voice cold as ice.

"Don't touch me. I'm fine. You can leave now."

Jackson's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched, his face a mask of concern. "You should be careful, Ava. My aunt and Amelia are planning something. I think, but I know it can't be good."

Ava's laugh was harsh, her eyes rolling in disdain. "Like you care," she spat, her voice dripping with venom.

Jackson's mouth opened as if to say something more, but he seemed to think better of it. His eyes lingered on Ava's face, searching for something, before he turned and walked away, leaving Ava shaken and alone.

Ava turned away, her shaking breaths the only sign of her turmoil. She walked into the penthouse, her composure brittle, her mind reeling with questions.
